I have great memories of Inspiral Carpets. Bought a couple of their albums on cassette to listen to when travelling for my first time away from home in the early 90s. That sound sticks with you.
In one of the interviews, Noel was asked who should be given outstanding contribution award (or an award similar to that), and his answer was Inspiral Carpets. So I think their relationships are good.
I don’t really like the Doors, and this reminded me of a bad Doors imitation. Judging by the other comments it seems that other people are underwhelmed by this group. My favorite line was “Deep Purple has organs and distorted guitars and they don’t sound like THIS.” Amen. Thanks guys.
When it comes to 90s bands from Britain and the organ, you're better off with The Charlatans and Supergrass. Try One to Another/Sproston Green by the Charlatans, or Going Out by Supergrass.
It's probably the best of a bad bunch. They kind of tagged along to the tail end of the 'Madchester' (hate that word) scene. More like a local band that got swept away with the tide, and some people went along with it. They were just alright IMO. But yes, This Is How It Feels is their 2nd best song.
I'm with Dave on this one. Got better as it went along and the harmonies kicked in and more instruments added. Here's one Dave my dig. This band is a Swedish Prog outfit but they have the loose improvy feel of a jam band and multi-lead singers add a lot of variety. It's the band, Beardfish and the track, "In The Autumn", was just released today, ruclips.net/video/Ji3vT-J7yww/видео.html
I guess I'm partly to blame, he wanted an Inspirals song, there's not many great ones to choose from tbh. I'm sure they will have diehard fans who disagree- they are wrong. Of all the suggestions I made you chose this one! grrr. Manchester bands- The Charlatans, Stone Roses, New Order, The Smiths have way better and way more songs.
@@samechick I guess I was more annoyed at myself for suggesting such a mid song. You know how I adore you and your voice and the way you read my comments. Edit- if this is Dave reading this, I guess this sounds pretty sus.

Their best song is this is how it feels.

This tune was played in the Supersonic documentary.
this is how it feels is amazing

Dave has been put off organs since I recommended Hocus Pocus by Focus with Thijs van Leer playing the organ😂
"I'm watching an outake from Zoolander?" - lol 😆

This is their only song I know. It’s just ok. I’m sure they have one or two others but not a ton to see there I don’t believe.
You should show Dave some Stone Roses 🍋
Noel Gallagher was the roadie for inspiration carpets.
Inspiral carpets.
Another great reaction Dave!! Be for to check out ‘Two Worlds Collide’ from the Inspiral Carpets…great tune!!
That's my favourite Inspiral's Tune 🔥🎛
