41:00 Yes it's a shield. Called an Iron halo. Usually reserved for veterans and terminator armour. 44:00 They are terminators from the first company. They teleported in. They are called the deathwing, and are always in bonewhite armour. (long story)
44:00 These are Terminators, they don't show up in Space Marine 2 for the Ultramarines. They're a heavier suit of armour, between Gravis armour (Heavy class) and Dreadnoughts. They can teleport in/out from the ships in orbit. They did show up in the chaos space marine ranks later in the game though. These particular terminators are from the Deathwing, the veteran first company of the Dark Angels.
Answering questions: - No, not all Tech-Priest has these metal spider legs. Some are bipedal, like the one we meet in Space Marine 2. I never found a Tech-Priest with wheels, though. I think this would be cool. - Another incredible animation that is not "Ultramarine centered" is called Pariah Nexus. It's centered on an Adepta Sororitas and a Salamander. Very cool and I recommend. It's only availabe on Warhammer+, though, and that is bad. - THESE Dark Angels specifically never found a Necron. Even when meeting one, most Legions operate in "shooting first, asking questions later". So, it's natural they don't know much about Necrons. They not even care in knowing about them. - Yes, you are right. Necrons can come back to life, in most games and lore. They've something called "revival protocol". Basically, even when you disintegrate a Necron, his body would recover from molecular level thanks to nanomachines in their metal. So, yes, they are basically imortal. They can be put to rest temporarilly(tm), though... - And you are doing better than me when I was introduced to WH40k. It's a hard journey sometimes, but a funny ride indeed.
Incredible piece of art by Gabriel Christtiane. Absolutely phenomenal animation. “The Awakening” has been recommended so many times and I can certainly see why. Link to the discord if interested in talking Warhammer: discord.gg/ycDyKXXH
@18:06 I would say it’s realistic view that most Space marine Chapters haven’t faced or met Necrons. They have most likely heard of them, however it’s important to remember Necrons are only just now starting to awaken more frequently and there is very few of them in the grand scale of numbers for races in the Galaxy. The largest group of Awakened Necrons only has 300 hundred Tomb worlds currently awakened and comparing that to the 1 million planets the Imperium has its pretty unlikely every Space Marine has had to have a deployment to face Necrons in battle. They’d just be a blip on the Radar for only someone in the immediate vicinity to go deal with.
YES! I knew you would enjoy yourself with this one! 😆 BTW the necron that was speaking was a CRYPTEK. They serve as scientists/engeneers/psykers of their respective necron dynasties and also as advisers to their overlords/Phaerons. They also hold a certain level of martial or political power amoung their necron peers and some can often be found leading moderate armies.
As someone who really dived into 40k lore last year, welcome to the family brother! My favorite space marine legion are the Night Lords (can't recommend enough the Night Lords Trilogy once you learn the basics of 40k. Top tier books) but the paranoid green boys (not the orks, though they are my fav faction overall😂) that are the dark angels are also really cool. Keep the 40k reactions coming, I love them!
wait till he discovers the side games like Blood bowl - American footyball using fantasy races liek orcs undead and gnomes , or necromunda gang fighting on a hive world, titanicus fighting with giant walking robots, and huge armies, or warhammer fantasy
Thay are death wing terminators from first company of dark angels chapter.Normally, you would first need to place a warp beacon to teleport to the exact coordinates, which is not shown here.
22 дня назад+2
because they teleported directly from the battle barge beacon It is mainly used on the battlefield
When we talk about teleportation, we mean going through warp. And warp is also infinite space And time. And in order not to get lost in that infinite space, you need a beacon, whether you want to teleport a kilometer or from one end of the galaxy to the other.
Fun theory (almost guaranteed given most of the staff were hardcore rockers back in the day) the Dark Angels Fortress-Monistary The Rock, is named after Castle Rock brewery in Nottingham where GW are based Although they've never done a beer with them, the last one was Boltgun with Neon Raptor also from Nottingham 😂
When you’re asking what are these. Those are terminators my brother. Perhaps the single most cool things about space marines. You need to learn about them
One thing you missed was the reveal of the tomb, All those pylon structures are called Necron Monoliths. Each one is a very deadly shielded and weaponized mobile teleportation platform that allows Necron soldiers to teleport anywhere a Monolith as present. These are terrifyingly powerful weapons and seeing them all dormant is and ready to awaken raises the stakes as what you see could effortlessly take the world from the imperium if fully awakened and supported by Necron Power pylons (like the ones destroyed by the DA in this film). By destroying the pylons, the few monoliths that are awake have their shielding and likely much of their teleportation tech disabled or weakened so that the imperial stands a chance against them.
Considering the lion awoke after a 10,000 year coma and learns everything fell apart in the imperium is leading to some cool lore, like the lion vs daemon prince angron. Theres still a-lot that is just theory, like what will happen when the lion and his brother guilliman reunite again.
If you’re looking for 40k films I recommend Guardsman 2018 you might find cool. Short fan film, only 5 minutes but they managed to pull off imo despite being amateurs.
Since you're going through Horus Rising rn, I would HIGHLY recommend 'The Death of Hope'. I haven't read that far into the Heresy yet (Big E please kick The Black Library into high-gear and get some more runs going lol), but even a basic knowledge of the events will get you through it. It has some of the BEST despictions of the Warp/Chaos and 30k Marine armor. It's easy to forget how much the aesthetic differs between the Heresy and 40k and that video plus it's trailers are amazing. Very similar in quality to this. Also, for size, it goes Terminator armor (beefier Space Marines), Dreadnoughts (casket containing Space Marines too damaged to serve used as the core for large walkers about half-again to twice the size of a regular Space Marine), Imperial Knights (larger two-crew walkers often paired to Noble Houses/worlds about the size of a small Transformer from the Michael Bay movies), and then we get on to the Titans, which range from Warhounds (small, fast walkers that are much beefier and hit harder than Imperial Knights, but act as scouts for other Titans as they are lightly armed for Titan-on-Titan combat (((usually operate in packs))), the Reaver (a mid-tier unit specializing in ranged weaponry usually along with signature back-mounted weaponry standing in excess of 20 meters), the Warlord (a 30 meter tall + monstrosity that can level entire cities from beyond the visual range or engage with melee weaponry larger than a semi to take down other Titans), and finally, the Emperor or Imperator Class Titan, to which I will only say that they are in excess of 50 meters tall and spawned the meme that "in the 40k universe, you don't go to church, the church comes to you" lol
"Are they dreadnoughts" I'll say it again, 45 min live video of you scrolling tho the GW website, look at the full range of miniatures, read the unit names, you'll learn a load and it will make you even more hyped!
If you want to learn about Caliban and what it was like before the primarch was found by the emperor, I recommend Descent of Angels. The audiobook is great
Terminators are very rare and are always (with a few exceptions) the best warriors of the chapter. And the Dark Angels are very famous for their first company. The first company in a codex complied chapter is always the ELITE. And Terminators are always the Elite of the Elite - only the best warriors are allowed to wear the Terminator armour.
I recommend to watch Pariah Nexus, it's an official short story about the Necrons and i don't want to give much spoilers. But it is one of the best short series imo.
That's actually the first time iv seen that but it was very good. The dark angels arnt my chapter as I prefer others. I think most of these questions you asked In the video have been answered so I won't repeat anything but if you you do have anything else that you wanna know I'd be happy to help
Yeaaaaah, he’s only got himself an introductory set! 6 months from now he’ll be making videos on his pile of shame 😂 Welcome aboard! Please make some videos on the building and painting side too, as I’m sure there is plenty of people wanting to experience your journey into the hobby too. My only advice, do some research and plan out your projects. I’m sure you won’t want to look at some poorly painted/planned miniatures and want to start again. There’s no rush, take your time!
Can you please react to weshammer's video on tau faction and react to some heretical hatter's videos because he's pretty underrated and please check out some more tau faction related videos

Bro even got himself a matching color outfit.
Bro called Warehouse Titans dreadnoughts....
Always love seeing this animation

Happy to see another fan enjoying himself!!!! For The Lion!!!
If you haven't already, you need to watch Helsreach. It's movie length and epic. Features the Black Templars.
yeah - great chapter and great story
Definitely
Those guys who showed up at the end were Deathwing Terminators and they teleported in.
Have you found Brother Baldermort(Baldermort's guide to warhammer) yet... he plays the voice of the Tech Marine...
You haven't heard a description of a Melta gun until you've heard... MELTY MELTY!!

You should watch the Warhammer movie called Helsreach
Brother, just remember loyalty is its own reward! And welcome to the legion, what we do we do for the Lion!!

I've never seen this one before, and it was awesome hearing Baldemort as the techmarine.
@49:42 no - these are TITANS. By the way - You should watch HELSREACH.

I think the librarian must have used his powers to assist the teleportation
Best Necron books are The Infinite and the Divine, and the Twice-Dead King duology (which should be getting an omnibus edition soon)
11:26 modification amongst tech priest are wildly vary, some of them use tank tracks, or sometimes just a normal looking robot leg.😂
Descent of angles is the first book for dark angles/ lion. Such a good book

Collrct and paint DA, started 3 months ago and have painted around 1500 points, working on the lion right now. ,❤

Reaction videos are like sharing your favorite things with a new friend. I can't wait until you discover my favorite group, the Legion of the Damned.

Love Baldermort as the Tech Marine
"For the Lion"
Vlka Fenryka!!!
You have to watch "Helsreach" next, it is in my opinion, the best fan animation of Warhammer there is.

@dpatriot4130 best vid summary and origin of the dark angels; The DARK ANGELS Legion in the HORUS HERESY | Legion I : Origins & Lore by Arbitor Ian.
Terminators are very rare and are always (with a few exceptions) the best warriors of the chapter. And the Dark Angels are very famous for their first company. The first company in a codex complied chapter is always the ELITE. And Terminators are always the Elite of the Elite - only the best warriors are allowed to wear the Terminator armour.
yeeep man good choice
1st Legion is cool, but i'd love to see you look in on the 9th, Blood Angels.
I recommend to watch Pariah Nexus, it's an official short story about the Necrons and i don't want to give much spoilers. But it is one of the best short series imo.
There is another good animation that contains the Dark Angels called Death Korps of Krieg by sodaZ
many chapters/legions/ factions in general have never seen necrons or Aeldar etc. It really just depends on the story thats being told.
That's actually the first time iv seen that but it was very good. The dark angels arnt my chapter as I prefer others.
I think most of these questions you asked In the video have been answered so I won't repeat anything but if you you do have anything else that you wanna know I'd be happy to help
Damn I watch these long annoying ads to support you. Doing my part to keep the content coming
i implore you to try and give all the legions a try before you settle on a favorite but you seem pretty excited for the lion so i wont hinder that

A bunch of the voice actors are lore tubers, the most obvious being baldermort as the tech marine.
Is that techmarine, baldermort ?
I personaly have a soft spot for the Black Templar.
My favourite chapter tho are the Blood Angels.
ey something nice to fall asleep to
Army of the dead. That is sort of exactly what they are. The wild 40k version of the fantasy undead.
Tomb worlds like ancient crypts.
lazerus enmities edge as an amazing dark angles book in the 5th company of the chapter not legion
