A few other guys to add to the list:
Wade Miley, 2012-Was actually a rookie this year, and a damn good one. Came in second in ROY voting. No-hit my Indians recently, and may make a second All-Star team this year.
Nate McLouth, 2008-One of many forgotten Pirate All-stars of their wilderness years, he was a pretty good ballplayer, making an All-Star team and winning a gold glove this year. It could be argued in hindsight that his defense was overrated due to sabremetrics finding him to have far below average range, but he still had a phenomenal year at the plate.
Mike Williams, 2002 & 2003-A 2-time All-Star, is on here because not only is he forgotten, but in 2003, he was maybe the worst All-Star of all time. Unfortunately, Baseball-Reference doesn't separate between 1st and 2nd halves, luckily, he was traded just after the All-Star break to Philly from Pittsburgh. His stats in Pittsburgh: 1-3 with a 6.27 ERA and 25 saves, and a WAR of -0.8. Yuck. Rather than send him to the All-Star game, I'd be sending him to Triple or even Double A.
Brock Holt, 2015-Hit for the cycle that year, and then famously became the only player to do so in Postseason history in 2018.
Jason Castro, 2013-Had a great year for the worst team in Astros history in getting to his only All-Star team, hitting .276 with 18 HRs and 56 RBIs and 4.2 WAR. Unfortunately, he stagnated after that and could never get back to that form.
I could go further, but you get the point: there's many forgotten All-Stars, or at least guys people forget were All-Stars.

I like the story about how Nate McLouth made the effort to learn, and apparently, to become fluent in the dialect of Spanish spoken by his Dominican teammates, just so he could be a better teammate. I don’t speak Spanish, so I can’t personally attest to his fluency, but his teammates seemed impressed and appreciative: ruclips.net/video/W08B_Cqiblo/видео.html

Derrick Turnbow: All Star in 2006, maybe one of the WORST all star seasons of all time, posted a 6.87 ERA in 64 games, but managed to amass 24 saves. Had a war of -2.4.
Aaron Cook: Considering his teams home field had a higher elevation than Shipett stadium, he did fairly well, 16-9, 3.96 era, but had only 96 Ks in 211 IP 😯
Everth Cabrera: Now this was a name I have not heard of in a while! 2013 all star, .287 average with 4 homers and 31 rbis, stole 37 bags, not too shabby.
Kyle Freeland: He hasn’t really been the same since 2018; rough 2019 (3-11, 6.73 ERA in 22 starts) and a mediocre 2020 and 21 (not bad for a Rockies pitcher tho), but had an incredible (17-7, 2.85 ERA, 4th in cy young voting) season all things considered.

Brock Holt wasn't just a final vote guy. He was the lone red sox all star one season somehow. Musta been a down year like 2015

What about 2x allstar Scott Cooper? Somehow he got Boston's charity slot in '93 over both Mo Vaughn and Danny Darwin (having probably the best year of his career)?

He's a bit too recent to have been forgotten, but Mike Foltynewicz (2018) for the Braves in his one good full season.

Love you and your work. I wish somebody would mix us up into some concrete and pour us into a deep hole so we could just talk baseball and never have to worry about anything.

I thought Evan Meek was a future great closer. I remember watching his first save and writing the line down because I thought he was a stud.
