Rivaldo, all'anagrafe Rivaldo Vítor Borba Ferreira (Paulista, 19 aprile 1972), è un calciatore brasiliano, centrocampista e attaccante attualmente svincolato dopo aver rescisso il contratto che lo legava al São Caetano.
Nel 2004 è stato inserito nella FIFA 100, la lista dei 125 più grandi giocatori viventi stilata da Pelé e dalla FIFA in occasione delle celebrazioni del centenario della federazione. Eletto Pallone d'oro 1999 e FIFA World Player nel medesimo anno, Campione del Mondo con la Nazionale brasiliana nel 2002, è annoverato tra i migliori attaccanti degli anni novanta e duemila. Rivaldo è tra i pochi giocatori ad aver vinto i campionati nazionali di ben 4 nazioni: Brasile, Spagna, Grecia ed Uzbekistan.
Rivaldo Vítor Borba Ferreira (born 19 April 1972), known as Rivaldo, is a Brazilian professional footballer who currently plays for São Caetano. He plays as an attacking midfielder and sometimes as a supporting striker. He played for five years with Spanish club FC Barcelona, where he formed a successful partnership with Patrick Kluivert, and won the 1998 and 1999 Spanish La Liga championship and the 1998 Copa del Rey.
Between 1993 and 2003, Rivaldo played 74 matches and scored 34 goals for the Brazil national football team and is the sixth highest goalscorer. He helped Brazil reach the final of the 1998 FIFA World Cup, and won the 1999 Copa América where he was named player of the tournament. Rivaldo starred alongside Ronaldo and Ronaldinho in the 2002 FIFA World Cup winning team. He was named in the FIFA World Cup All-Star Team in 1998 and 2002.
In 1999, Rivaldo was named FIFA World Player of the Year and won the Ballon d'Or.He was named by Pelé as one of the 125 Greatest Living Footballers at a FIFA Awards Ceremony in 2004. He is an inductee to the Brazilian Football Museum Hall of Fame. He is the president of Mogi Mirim Esporte Clube in Brazil.
