I have watched dozens, maybe hundreds, of videos on pour painting and I have to tell you that I wish I had found this one of yours a lot sooner! I wouldn't have had to watch all those others. I love the way you get right down to the techniques and don't waste time. So many others I've had to fast forward to get to the painting part! You should publish a book.
Thanks, Joyce (& MMG) I found her's 1st, good to know! I've learned so much in 24 hrs. Cant wait to get materials and start creating. I've done a lot with metal scratching, and candy color spray cans over the years. This will be a new venture.
FINALLY!!! THANK YOU for answering so many questions I've had, even after watching so many other videos on how to get started. Now, after watching your video, I have the knowledge that has given me the confidence to finally get pouring!
I feel like I'm back in a school art class watching a demo, only I actually care about the project that we're going to be doing. I love this medium and I can't wait to try it out!
I've recently started acrylic pouring myself. You've taught me quite a lot. I've watched RUclips for so long, but I haven't really put much on here. What I do have is random. Very much so. However, I do think the last few videos (of painting) happen to be my favorite. I have you to thank for that, Mixed Media Girl! I found a form of art that speaks to me. Now I just gotta let my current project dry...
I swear this is one of the THE BEST videos on pouring.I don't know if I'm the only one,but I keep coming back to this video for reference techniques.Happy subscriber here, thanks!
Gee... you said that you are not the most Pro person on this, but I bet you that you have done at least 1,000 pours; and methinks, that THAT makes you a PRO. Thank you for cutting the gradient and for defining basic concepts.
I have watched a TON of these type of videos lately, and yours is, by far, the most informative! Thank you for showing all of these techniques and keeping it simple, yet SO helpful! ❤️
Simple and to the point..Love that..way too many artist videos go on and on with what their day is like, etc and that gets boring real quick. We just want to see how they do their style of pouring.. What do you do with all your pour's? Have a Happy Painting Day.
This was a Great Video! I have everything I need to start pouring cuz if I’m going to do a new hobby or maybe get a little Euro or two, it’s go big or don’t go at all! Now with that said, I love Embroidery and Quilting and I love Baking Goodies! Yum yum! Now I need a bigger house to store all my supplies. I’m actually refurbishing my home as we speak! Can’t afford to have anyone come and do it, so at the young age of just 61 years old, I am upgrading all the electrical and putting up beautiful Board & Baton and I am going to make a Builtins cabinet with space for a tv and of my art work. My husband & I were big into doing woodworking projects that I’d draw the pattern and then we’d go out and build it. I don’t do much of it now as my husband passed away 9 years ago from Lung Cancer. I do still use the Table saw and other tools on my own. When I tell people what I’ve been up to, they are always surprised and shocked that little ol’ me at 5’ 1” and my age, they are amazed with all that I do. Anyway, you can call me Gabby cuz I don’t know when to stop talking!!!🙄😉😂! May Got Bless you as he has me. Take care & Thank you so much for getting me into a new Hobby. As soon as I am done with my renovation, that’s when I will take time to enjoy everything that you & other paint pourers are demonstrating for me. Awesome Job! JilliBean: aka Gabby
I've been watching so many of your videos these past few days and have been considering trying it. Watching this video has made me want to even more - as I now know that I can use pretty much anything (as long as I have paint of course!). Thank you!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR TIME ON THIS. I AM JUST NOW PURCHASING SOME SUPPLIES AND GATHERING SOME KNOWLEDGE. I HAVE LITERALLY BINGED FOR MANY NIGHT IN THE WEE HOURS TO WATCH. I LEARNED SOOOO MUCH FROM THIS. AGAIN THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR TALENT. GOOD JOB !!! ONE THING I HAVE FOUND THAT MANY OF YOUR FELLOW ARTIST DO NOT MIND SHARING THE HOW'S AND WHY'S...DO NOT FIND THAT IN MOST LINES OF TALENTS...THIS IS REALLY A JOY.
I love the way this art makes me think and feel. I am in awe of the beauty of your paintings. It’s almost meditative to watch the paintings appear after dumping the paint and letting the universe pull the picture out. Thank you for all these instructions.
Love your work and thank you for showing how you make them. My daughter and I went to a pouring workshop but we used wood. We had blaste. And we and doing another with canvas. I am slowly building up my equipment. I can't wait until I start this hobby. Even my husband is learning with us.
Great video for the inexperienced. I've never done any acrylic pours, so this gives a lot of choices to get started. Thanks for this and all of your other great video tutorials. Best regards from Montreal. ~Glenn
So appreciate your instruction. I've just gotten started on this type of art and have wondered why some did not turn out well. Your videos have given me a LOT of good information so, hopefully, I won't continue to make the same mistakes again. Needless to say, I'm a fan!
Thank you so much!!!! I have trawled the internet looking for a basic tutorial and nothing was really hitting the spot until this. You have made this sound so easy and I can’t wait to have a go. You are so talented. Massive thank you from all the way over in the UK xx
Oh WOW, thank you so much for doing this. I have wanted to get started doing this, but as with anything new, I was lost, you have answered so much for me. Also, thank you for the cheap options for beginners. I appreciate this very much.
Very informative!!!! Thanks for putting this video together. Love the Tree Ring pour and the toilet paper pour. I also use a condiment squeeze bottle to do tree ring pours. You can control how large or small the rings are!!
I love watching your tutorials and shares. You are very informative and easy to follow. Thank you! I’m 60 yrs old and just starting to find myself in painting. If you have any advice I sure welcome it.
Omg I love this vid! You're my favorite!! Because of you, I have created 3 paintings so far and I'm so excited. This art therapy has been so good for me. Thank you dear!!!
I did fluid painting with just water and it worked out great just like that but recently I stumbled across your channel and now I can't stop watching you .your prices of artwork are amazing😍
Ur welcome Mixed Media Girl! Have u ever thought of just throwing together the fave colors of all ur kiddos & urs & whoever else that's special to u..... kind of like a symbolic type painting.... how they mix together can be a representation of sorts. Just a thought. I love all ur paintings tho.... will be doing some of my own as soon as I can afford the paints.
These are all just gorgeous! And thank you for showing us your techniques & products that you use. I’m excited to try this - as soon as I can find the space in my house! 😂🎨
I have a friend who has been doing Pour Painting for a while and I had no idea what it was ... she goes down to the Thrift Store and gets furniture to do Pour Painting on.
Thank you for this video! All of them turned out looking so neat. I only just discovered acrylic pouring last night and now I'm feeling super inspired! I can't wait to gather supplies and start doing my own. (Also, besides the point, but I love your voice! It has a very friendly and comforting quality and is a delight to listen to.) Thanks again!
Sorry I haven’t stumbled onto this sooner! Mesmerizing videos! Great timing and clarity in speech as well as sound and image. The paintings are beautiful and fun too! 😘💚🙌
I added this to my favorites! BTW, I counted 9 techniques, 10 if you count dragging your finger through the paint! The TP roll and the swipe are my favs!
Perfect for beginners like me. I’m just starting to try some techniques and still not good enough for me 🤷🏻♀️ but I know practice makes perfect. I love your videos. Thanks for all the explaining that you do.
I tried the dip yesterday. I poured a couple of canvases and then dipped some tiles in the dripped paint. And there is still enough in the bottom of my drip pan to make some skins for another project. My daughter picked light spring colors. I cant wait till they're finished.
Mixed Media Girl - thank you SO much for directing me to this video. It was very helpful and exactly what I was looking for when I asked. You've really inspired me to try new things and I'm excited to do so! Thank you again.
This is such a good video for beginners thank you 🙏 . I was so confused before I watched this video .You have covered almost everything just wanted to know the mixture proportion ( fluetrol water and paint). I m so excited to try on my own. Thanks again
+Mixed Media Girl Thanks, I love this video ... thank you for the extended time you took to make it; and the clarification of terms. Really, really nicely done. And some great pours with it.
