Roosies!! Still waiting for a 6 yard call in. I can't wait! Thank you for sharing both the good and the bad of hunting out here. I can learn from all of it!
I don't think people who have never hunted big game in that type of thick shit can really comprehend what they're looking at on video. Its exhausting, and brutal, and at times downright disorientating. You're shooting lanes are always the size of a football and you're almost never going to get a nice easy standing 20 yard broadside shot.
I’ve chased them in reprod that thick for sure but not crazy thick undergrowth like that. Was that all vine maple? I’m impressed you managed to get a shot off in all that. Outcome is a bummer but good hunt and video fellas.
Yeah it is,, ELK hunting in Oregon is totally different anywhere hunted there In Douglas county my whole life ready to move back. Oh yeah just ask Cory from ELK 101.

What is that leather thing with the florescent yellow gear looking thing?
Bowsnatcher. You will see the bow on it at parts of the video.
Love all your stuff
6 yards in the in the vine maple, that's the OR coast. Love the videos, keep up the good work

Exactly. Hunting Roosevelt in thick stuff is more tiring than chasing Rockies. I’ve done both and Roosevelt hunting just hits different.
It was a shame to take a shot that you didn't like.
I don’t think you understand he liked the look, he just didn’t hit the desired mark.
