Not gonna lie after the 3rd story, I almost put my switch down for good 😂😂.
I literally never played Zelda before in my life (other than the GBA one and I didn't even pass 1 minute), but people were so hyped about TotK so I had to watch the trailer and truly, the music from that trailer alone made me consider trying BotW.
I didn't, but I'll always remember how hype the music was.
definetly don't the trailers were a terrible representation of each game. It happened TWICE. But the story is presented in a MUCH blander way. Dont waste your money.

I got the game when it came out and I still haven’t beaten it 😅
Tbh I haven’t progressed much cause I’m just so uninterested, I enjoy flying around and collecting the amiibo armor (cause I don have money to buy the fancy action figures and I really want fierce deity armor❤) but other than that I enjoyed botw because the story was interesting and new and fun, I like catching and riding horses, the champions were really enjoyable, Sidon and the rest were really fun, Zelda was a compelling character, kohga was actually good, and the exploration was NEW. Totk felt disappointing to me outside of SOME new exploration and armor, but it was just a less good botw, I miss guardians and sheikah tech. I miss when impa and the other sheikah were interesting. I miss when Zelda was interesting. I like the dragon concept but the story and timeline make no sense! Just when I think I’ve figured out the Zelda timeline, totk smacks me across the face with “I am Rauru, the FiRsT kInG oF hYrUlE” what era is thiiiss game!!?? I didn’t like age of calamity cause that also messed up the timeline and made it more confusing, luckily that game wasn’t canon. But at least it had something new to bring to botw! Not a lot but more than totk! Oh age of calamity, perhaps I treated you too harshly 😔

TOTK game designers learning that they will be using the same world map for the second time in a row, meaning that the game's basis around exploration will be null and they will have wasted their time coding a game that won't be filled with their uniquely whimsical and abstract ideas that Zelda games are commonly known for, leading to generally unwelcome feelings of deja vu foreshadowing the finished product's repetitive nature.
