So glad I watched this all in one go after bouncing hard off TotK about 5 hours in, regret nothing because I expected a much better story. Why doesn't Zelda at least have dragon-like features after to show some change has happened, why did Link lose their cool ghost arm too, what the fuck is going on at Nintendo??

I watched this whole thing. Incredible analysis. I’m in the love/hate boat for a lot of the same reasons you mentioned. It’s enjoyable to be creative but the story BLOWS so badly. Thank you for taking forever to make this.

you say that you wanted to enjoy tears of the kingdom yet it seems that you entered the game with a set of weirdly specific criteria to fill, and when the game went in a direction you didn't anticipate you labelled it as bad.

I personally loved the water dungeon. It was easy but the low gravity was so fun, my only problem with it is I wish it had lasted longer cause I just loved every second of it. And mucktorok was so goofy and camp to me, plus not too hard to fight once I realized you can go into bullet time with your bow just by jumping due to the low gravity

At 2:19:20 you mention how some shrines could be too difficult for players early on. In botw I went wildly off the beating path and ended up in areas i really shouldn't have been to yet and encountered a lot of shrines i just had no idea how to beat. In those scenarios i did exactly what you said in the video, i left and teleported back at a later time
