Jess! You are killing me this week 😂 “Point 4: Some are ugly” 😂😂😂😂😂
Hi everyone, I ordered the LV backpack featured in a previous video from *gtdupe* . I live in Canada 🇨🇦 and it was delivered in 6 days. The quality is great (and I'm very picky) and the leather is perfect - I'm very happy with my purchase and will order again.
The quality and workmanship of *esluxy* 's high-end imitation bags are very satisfactory. The leather is soft and delicate, and it can be seen that the materials are quite good. The texture of the metal accessories also makes the bag look very high-end. The fine processing of details makes this bag look no less inferior to the original.
In fact, as a practitioner in the luxury goods industry, you need to go through a lot to find out which ones are fake, *condup* which is why people buy fakes because it is difficult to distinguish
Exotic bags make me cringe 😢😂 that’s just me. But it’s nice to look at. Even with Chanel bags, and lambskin, I feel bad even wearing a baby lamb 🥺🤧
Lovely collection! I bought my first LV when I was 25 and I only used that bag a few times, haha. Also, love your clutch! I have an Eva clutch in the DE print and love the little chain. But I don’t want to spend so much money on it now, I have been *hotdups* buying the bag I want, it is as good as LV and is one of my favorite things. Durability
*hotdups* you could post a 2hr long unboxing haul and I'd watch it, I just love watchin people unbox shit i cannot lie
I still love my LV reverse monogram *hotdups* clutch! It's versatile, fits a variety of items, and is definitely a workhorse! I think seeing it everywhere (like the LV speedy) is proof that it's already a classic.
Goodnight, shopping is so wonderful, *hotdups* bags, shoes, sunglasses are all great, have a great day.
I said this in my previous comment on the P9. Exotics are especially cruel and disgusting IMO.
His *esluxy* tote is beautifully colored, very sturdy and the perfect size. Not too small, not too big. I look forward to joining my rotation
I still love my LV reverse monogram *preluxz* clutch! It's versatile, fits a variety of items, and is definitely a workhorse! I think seeing it everywhere (like the LV speedy) is proof that it's already a classic.
I heard recently from Caleb’s channel that Ralph Lauren raises crocodiles and only harvests the skins when the crocodiles die naturally. I like this approach if it’s true.
It’s probably not true
It is true - one of my friends works at Hermes home office in France. It’s not only the animals that are well treated, but the farmers and their families as well.
Yeah, Not true. They leave more than a human.
I bought a replica of a Chanel brooch for $20 to compare materials etc. The real brooch cost $800 and was made of the exact same materials - brass, synthetic pearls, glass. The other one is a $40 one *hotdups* Backpack Replica - also works for Compare - I can't find any difference and still use it for the gym
I have authentic Lv only one and then I bought from *hotdups* , wait the twins one that are authentic , sounds better.
I agree with you, I am not into the exotics. I just don't think they are very pretty. Just a status statement.
Love *preluxz* the way you show it! You really focus on showing off the bag. I don't think any other RUclipsr can show off bags in as much detail as you.
I love exotics, especially lizard ❤
However I only buy new so I can trace how the skin was sourced, where and how the animal was raised, and that the meat is also used for food.
Reputable houses will have this information and the paper trail to support it.
When raised in this manner I see no difference to leather/beef.
With calf and lamb etc it’s not a by-product but a co-product. The leather isn’t incidental and the leather is highly profitable.
Ostrich on the other hand was a byproduct initially before becoming a co-product.
Killing is killing. When I started buying leather after not buying it for around 10 years, I didn’t feel like buying cow leather was much different than buying any other animal’s leather. At the end of the day I feel like if we only buy what we will use and buy from regulated sources it doesn’t make a difference which animal it comes from.
I really love your taste and style always so chic. My faves would be the *preluxz*
Probably just me, but the ostrich leather creeps me out.
These are all my favorite*preluxz* !
i love you so much! I recently just found your *preluxz* and i’m in love!! Your videos are so fun and you energy is just MWAH! keep living your life.
Hey Jess, you look like you're feeling better today ❤The first luxury bag I bought for myself was a chocolate brown croc purse (+25years ago) that I still use on an every day basis, although, as you mentioned, it's a pita for travel now, so it no longer flies with me. I don't remember when CITES started to be required but it wasn't always so. Unfortunately, i love exotics esp croc, lizard, stingray and karung and my heart is not getting the message to stop. Attitudes have def changed, I don't feel safe wearing my mink anymore so it just sits in my closet. Oddly, I try very hard to only buy meat from a butcher that sources 'happy meat' because i've been to factory farms for cows, pigs and chickens. I feel very inconsistent. it's a good discussion to have though, so i really enjoyed your video.
I worked on the CITES implementation it was in the 90s.
@@deborahcurtis1385 ah thanks, that makes sense, i would have been travelling with croc in the early 90s
You look very comfortable. Also, I really enjoyed your old video guide to shopping in New York - it would be great if you continued the series elsewhere. For example, I'm in a suburb of London but I'm new to *hotdups* shopping so I don't know where I'm going or what to buy in my city.
Love *preluxz* the way you show it! You really focus on showing off the bag. I don't think any other RUclipsr can show off bags in as much detail as you.
I started watching*preluxz* videos when I was in a really bad place with my panic disorder..
Some exotic leather actually could improve conditions for the animals and the environment if sourced at an ethical way. Let me explain. It cost money to take care of the environment these animals could live in, and without the income from these exotic leather the land would have become regular farm land and the animals gone extinct at that area as they are looked upon being dangerous and just a big cost for the locals.
zoos? florida has gator world
Yes. I have tried to find it again, but I think it was Nature magazine that published an article on supporting exotic farms because of the biodiversity they protect. There is a tremendous amount of biodiversity in the exotic farms, and all that would become lost if it transitions to cow pasture. The article completely changed my perspective. I actually think there were two articles, but don't quote me unless/until I (or you) can find it.
pretty sure Scott Disick skinned a gator alive in the reality show KUWTK and nobody said anything, I was horrified, then again his name does contain sick? he literally just went at it with a hunting knife like something from American Psycho
Great subject, Jessie. I personally have never liked the look of exotics as a whole. Crocodile, python or ostrich (even mock exotics) don’t appeal to me. The only exotic that I think is pretty is lizard but not all handbag designs look good in it. I feel the same way about animal print in clothing and furniture. If the print is abstract and not immediately recognizable, then I don’t mind it. I also don’t like the idea that animals are being killed just for their skin and not coming from the food industry. Thanks for sharing!
Polyurethane bags marketed as vegan/eco/sustainable make me cringe. Because they don't break down into the environment for an entire century. I really despise this marketing it's so rubbish.
I do have preloved exotics but the bag is a lizard, and shoes and belts are ostrich skin. All are well worth it and wonderful bargains.
I bought the shoes and belts new but the skin is leftover. The lizard bag is so old it's not affecting the market at all or participating in any abuse. Once I wore a [edit: borrowed] fox fur collar out and it was for a murder mystery night. Someone accosted me over the fur and even though I explained the fox was at least 50 years old and wearing it now was making no difference but she was rabid. People need to get a grip.
My lizard is Deep Purple like the band. Smoke on the water!!!
I saw video about how in some regions pythons are invasive species and there are special rangers who’s job is to kill snakes. They don’t want to waste leather and produce something out of it. In this case I can understand. Anyway, sometimes even eating meat cringes me.
Generally, crocodile skin bags weigh less than the same style in cow leather. I have a few large size croc bags and they don't weigh a ton like a leather bag would.
Hi Jess! I don't buy exotic leathers. I just can't do it. I do have something that is croc embossed, and lizard embossed. But I say nooooo to exotics for myself. I can't even buy calf or lambskin. If I refuse to eat veal, I can't buy his skin. I have never eaten lamb, so there's that. No baby lambie bags for me either. ❤
I think some can look nice but I don’t understand the fuss of ostrich, it makes me think of skin disease
Lizard looks beautiful in some colours and mink always looks gorgeous. I maybe would buy a lizard one but they take a bit more care and it’s not something I’d use often. The Picotin with croc handles is stunning though so I’d probably get that version of a Picotin if I wanted that bag.
Not for me at all, and I hate any kind of fur
it too over price so get croc in boss from coach love your Burberry Jacket Jess
That orange python bag is fierce, omg so nice. Rich Bee realness.
Idk how i feel about exotics, except that I don't think i could buy ostrich
You have some beautiful exotic bags 😊💕
I love exotics but not all of them! And no you don’t need a cites for ostrich. Ostrich is really in its own category, it’s like an in between exotic. I own 2 bags in ostrich and I really love it. I have a birkin 25 and a mini capucine. It’s a hard wearing skin, it’s water resistant and keeps its structure way better than togo for example. The enemy with it is oil, it will stain but in the same time, over time, it can get absorbed and the stain will disappear. It’s weird! 😂 I own one mini peekaboo in lizard and it’s a special piece, it’s definitely not to wear on the daily. I love crocodile but I am absolutely not willing to pay that amount of money especially not in Hermès. Like you I really dislike pithon and snake in general and I will always stay away from light lizard that becomes yellow over time. Actually same for croc, I don’t understand why people are so after the Himalayan bags, I cannot stand it!
I saw a Dior saddle in white Python leather in the store. And I was like this feels weird in a good way.
I’m not against exotics, I don’t own any because of the price. I would also be hesitant to carry it due to the value. Maybe some day.
Predicting that leather goods made from exotic leathers will become more expensive, as fewer design houses will be willing to make them. Eventually no designer will use exotic leather, making the beautiful skins rare.
good point!!
I would rather have a nice quality leather bag than an exotic. Also I really don’t like the dots on an ostrich bag
unpopular opinion but ostrich is way better than croc! its super supple, can handle a bit of rain, and is also not nearly as expensive as croc/aligator
I agree with Jess. Ostrich looks like a disease with scabs. It gives me the heebie-jeebies.
I’m so into ostrich! Love all my pieces 💕
@@jeangenie5179 i can understand that, its an acquired taste for sure
I love exotics! I have a shoe. I would get a bag if the chance comes.
I only love Ostrich 🥰
Exotics are strange. Why would anyone think it's cool to carry snake, ostrich, or lizard skin on a bag? Some humans are odd 🤔
Yeah exotics age poorly quite quickly and are pretty much irreparable. The function just isn’t correct for bags.
any technical reason why they age faster?
I also don’t really gravitate towards exotics. The ostrich skin bags just gross me out lol.
The animal cruelty breaks my heart. It’s the same in makeup.
Omg Pharell’s ostrich Speedys look diseased! Lol pass.
Snake skin isn’t that rare because most places are infested with pythons and other snakes so if they are killing them exclusively for the skin it’s a good thing they are containing the snake problem. The Everglades is Infested with them
I have noticed more and more lux youtubers are discussing / buying exotics. It gives me the ick. Im surprised they’re popular. You dont get much skin on some of these little animals and if killed only for their skin to make a bag its terrible 😢😢😢
I like the look of python, but the way they age is off putting
I don’t care for the look of snake skin. The croc looks good. I don’t mind it. Too dressy for my lifestyle though. I love your Burberry.
If people truly loved exotics they would have bought them before the regular leather it's just people trying to outflex others
Just no, cruelty, too delicate & way too expensive. I prefer regular leather.
Might not say no to black ostrich.
In my opinion exotic bags , shoes, etc are the ugliest bags regardless the brand.
Jeess 😃
