Having been brought up in Skipton and worked on a passenger canal boat as a summer job when at school this ticked a lot of boxes for me. A great day out and interesting to see your old school. I went to Ermysted's Grammar in Skipton and can remember playing your guys from Bingley at rugby back in the 70s.
Small world, Jay ... and a nice part of the world too! Yeah big rugby schools back in the day round those parts. Tackling drills on the frozen top fields in January isn't something you forget in a hurry! Largely explains why I got into tennis! 🙂Happy cycling!
Thanks, Jon. Great minds ... Enjoyed your video (and accompanying tunes, always hard to find!) and if anyone's reading this go check out Jon's channel! Happy cycling!
Another lovely vud. Always look forward to them. I did leeds to Gargrave on the cannal on beautiful day in Jan this year. Quite slow going as on a Saturday quite busy. Checking out as a potential leeds to Liverpool in a day😮..........might be s touch boring though, quite flat!
Thanks, Mark. The Shipley - Saltaire - Bingley bit was super busy for us on the day, but probably one of my favourite sections. Proper big ride doing it all in a day. I know what you mean about a 'touch boring' but I reckon that would only be the terrain under wheel - the landscape/vistas would probably offer a fair bit of variety and interest.
@onemorecyclist yes that's true.....and trying to avoid falling in might concentrate the mind somewhat 😁 In a day is a bit much but a challenge. It's a case of do I want to enjoy or endure. And totally agree with your comment re "training " ......thst all sounds like hard work 😁
Cool video.

Must have been something in the air (Aire? 😂) I headed out along the canal this weekend too. In the other direction. Another great video, thank you.

Say Hi to Bob Jackson for me.
Thanks.
Frank.😊
Was that a cycle helmet sun hat 😂. Great ride down there I have done it myself holidaying in Skipton area
Yes, really nice area for road and off road. Feels like it's been a very long wait this year to make use of the sun hat. 🙂
I’m sure riding in the sunshine won’t be that much of an issue for us pal 😂 #winteriscoming
