In their eyes, subaru is a great tactician against a witchcult. He appeared out of nowhere and proclaimed that he is emilia's knight. Then get beaten up by a knight then join a battle to take down the white whale while reveling that battle is just a side quest for him and the his main goal is killing the sloth which he successfully killed. Now a witch cult appears and reinhard is nowhere to be found and subaru is there and guess who is better at dealing the witchcult?
Everyone: “We can always count on Reinhard to show up when things are at the worst.” Subaru: “So why do you want me here then?” Everyone: “Because Reinhard ONLY shows when things are ALREADY at their worst.”
Killing a Sin Archbishop might not be a huge deal in itself, but doing it the way Subaru did - preemptively, by a masterfully executed ambush, with zero non-combatant losses, and finishing off the leader by countering his every move and safety mesure - that would make anyone believe Subaru's the guy you need on your side when you go against the Cult.
And it really is a big deal, in a dialogue omitted in the anime they tell you that in the few times that Regulus actively acted to do harm, he invades a large fortress full of soldiers and a hero from Vollachia (neighboring empire of the kingdom where re zero takes place) and massacres them all. The archbishops are literally forces of nature that are on the level of the strongest and that gives Subaru a lot of merit. It's like he's a master strategist or something in the eyes of others.
Oh sure, you LET AL leave to find his princess, but when Subaru tries to rescue his princess, which is a rightful duty as her knight, he's suddenly a bad guy. The audacity and the low key gaslighting lol.
They never portrayed Subaru as the bad guy wtf, Julius knows that it is Subaru's duty to save his royal candidate. He was only asking whether was Subaru going to save Emilia straight away or confront the archbishop of lust beforehand. He would have understood Subaru's willingness to save Emilia because he would do the same if it was Anastasia that Regulus captured.

@@nobuffer101lmao, it's the same when someone's house ON FIRE 🔥 🚒 😂
@@chandradirgantara9455More like he would only appear after it has been burnt to the ground and half of the people living inside it are dead.
Thanks for telling us something we've heard like a hundred others have repeated
Btw where was reinhard?

Subaru is like the miracle that keeps giving😎, he has to be with them if they wanna come back alive
Subaru's their hero.

I think this guy have to watch the rezero again to understand why they were worried and why having Subaru helping them is better than him not
In their eyes Subaru helping them is relieving because he literally has a 100% win rate against the Witch Cultist
They'd respect his choice but they don't hide the fact that he is literally super useful
reading comprehension is dead
