I agree. Though this has been hanging over us since Gios time. 3rd manager and same problems. There has to be some reason for this. If it isn't something with our medical team, or facilities, then perhaps it's is just down to us scouting talents, but buying flawed goods in the bargain basement. Bad scouting basically from the past. I don't know. Either way those behind the scenes need to ensure we aren't going for thay type of signing. If there are red flags and a heavy history of injury, we should not sign a player. Clement stated before he knew why injuries were happening, and said he would fix it, and hinted towards conditioning and self care after games. Hopefully with preseason and ridding us of as many of these broken types out of contract this summer as possible we will go on to better, next season. Ridvan is a very good player when available, but I would sell him. He hasn't been available enough for us.
Fans are a disgrace how we've turned on Goldson!! He's been a superb player us should he shown more respect

That's a big one. Even as far back as Gerrards time and him tearing his hair out with injured players, we bought guys with injury history problems, that were evident and obvious. We don't help ourselves. Dowell had a well known injury history. Souttar I am glad is getting a run together but he is another. Jack did develop that during his time with us, and we offer him a new deal. That was crazy and poor decision making. Ridvan had a clear pattern of injury before we signed him. He is talented, but a simple Internet search from a football fan can find that, so why aren't our business people more rigorous? Sima had a poor injury record, and I like him alot but he did and does. There are talents to be had in markets further afield, as well as at home that would make much more sense and have sell on value as well as robustness. Kai Fotheringham of Dundee Utd, he is around £250k RW, he has goals and assist in him, is young and has carried Dundee Utd to promotion at times, with key performances at 21 years old. He is another Scottish talent. The type we should snap up and the likes of Lennon Miller.

Not having Goldson is injured, only one serious injury since being here and now he's dropped (rightly so by the first boss to have the balls to do it) no, has spat the dummy, his agent can flog him right now to any club whose mug enough to buy him. Big Phil is covering him as any good boss would do.
Don't think Clement is the type to come out and blatantly lie to everyone mate, would be quite an elaborate lie too tbh. Don't see missing Goldson as that big of an issue mind you as long as Souttar and Balogun are fit.

The amount of injuries we have picked up over the last two seasons isn't normal. Especially this season. Call it lack of fitness or a poor physio team, but either way this problem with excessive injuries is beyond comprehension. The problem needs to be nipped in the bud.
Yep. The board should actually hire someone independent to do an evaluation of everything and make recommendations.
Goldson can’t take a ligament tear through a scan. He’s injured. We went on a seriously poor run recently (like Celtic did in December). It was bound to catch up to us at one point and was just unfortunate timing. Truth being told the damage was done at the beginning of the season when we should have won / at the very least got draws where we lost under Beale. If that had happened even once we’d still have it all in our hands.

I can't remember a more unless player in a Rangers jersey, and I count Sebo in that. Sebo at least had a bit of dig, tried hard and wouldn't fall over when the wind changes direction. Silva offers nothing on the LW.

Goldson being out is no big issue in my book as long as Souttar and Balogun are fit and available, Yilmaz is the one we are missing tbh... just need to win every game, chance that Celtic won't take 6/6 v Hearts and Killie so we need to make sure we take care of our business.

@@GRFC1872agreed mate. Guys who are robust and don't have poor injury history. If you look up online the injury history of many of our signings dating back to even Gerrards time, there is a clear and obvious pattern of us signing guys with poor injury histories. If a simple fan, can check that, what the hell are those running our club doing? I hope with Clement and the new sporting director that changes as we go forward from next season. It has to. If we shop in Scotland and further afield there are deals to be had, for talents that aren't broken goods. Right now, those running things are going to the shops as a club, and when they invite folk round for afternoon tea, they are bringing out the budget bags with factory smashed biscuits and palming them off, as first class baked goods. The budget bags can be good sometimes but they are fooling no one. The guys they are buying are more trouble than they are worth, when their output in a season is way below what they take home in wage.

To say Goldson is making sacrifices just because he wants to be in the dressing room when injured. Really? He’s on nearly £30k a week. That’s the least he can do, especially since he’s hardly won a thing since he’s been here, and he along with the usual suspects have capitulated this past month. Aye, get in that bloody dressing room and do what needs done to help win. Give your fellow players a massage or put their boots on if necessary. As a fan I’d love to be in that dressing room.

Goldson and Rangers have mad a deal to sell him so he ain't interested in playing but he will still be a leader
Those running the club need to stop signing guys with poor injury histories. It has been this way since Gerrards time, all the way until now.
Jordan Rossiter, Shey Ojo, Helander, Cedric Itten, Kemar Roofe, Brandon Barker, Bongani Zungu, Matondo, Aaron Ramsay, Ridvan Yilmaz, Kieran Dowell, John Souttar, Sima, even as good as Danilo is his injury history doesn't read well. These are all guys with red flags of poor injury records before they joined us. The info is available online in a simple search. Thats alot of potential minefields waiting to go off, mixed with bad luck like Cortes, guys out of form and struggling defensively, others that sit and take a wage and deliver little, like Ryan Jack who I like but can't stay injury free, especially after Scotland duty. They gave Jack another year, that should never have happened. Raskin with his head in Chelsea FC clouds but hasn't so far shown the hunger or attitude to live up to his big billing. Silva who blows over with a change of wind. Wright, who tries but, isn't at the right level. This is the reason we are where we are and it falls on those running the club. The state of affairs is not good enough. Hopefully with the changes behind the scenes and new manager, our scouting and players improve going forward. Wasting money and wages on broken players is not the way forward. Bad business. If you run a machine with broken parts, the machine breaks down. So where we are and the mess with contracts is not Clements fault. Infact he has done amazingly well to squeeze where we are out of such a broken bunch.
could not agree more mate( finally someone talking sense) Poor recruitment, poor personnel, poor business models and decisions made all round, poor everything including how the club has been ran in recent years, hence why its had such a ripple effect within the whole club and players !!!
When put like that it's actually mental..... maybe also the environment behind the scene...... we have had a helluva lot of injuries.... long term too. And it's always a case of "almost ready" then we dint see them for weeks
@garethrobertson20 yep, when you look at it like that, then you consider Clement says he knows why we have so many injuries, but never actually says it. It makes you wonder if his fix has been said privately, but whether that changes anything we will need to see.

Totally disagree with PC here...he knows VAR is destroying the game, most managers do but they are afraid to speak out...in every country..the mistakes have been catastrophic for some teams. The last world cup was an absolute joke...there is NO HONESTY when VAR is involved...we played the game for over 100 years without it...VAR came in and sucked the life and excitement right out of the game...its been proven time and again, its the worst thing to happen to football since UEFA and FIFA..
