Tired of people and Disney calling everything Walt Disney did problematic and really sick of 20 something kids telling me how great modern disney is
What used to be Future World now looks like a dystopian hellscape with a Target, a Wawa, and a community college cafeteria.
The conjecture that they were trying to protect Walt’s image from being associated with the modern slop was laughable.
Not all 20 something kids think modern Disney is good. I'm one of the few who hates seeing Disney be turned into this political agenda focusing company. Everything as of late has been a disgrace. I am always seeing how new attractions are breaking down. It's gotten to the point where I can't look at anything disney related other than old videos when it was still good.
Why are they working at Disney if they don’t like Walt Disney?
Universal gives us a NEW PARK with multiple mini parks, and Disney gives a refurbished ride that breaks down constantly.
Super Nintendo Land, and whatever else they add on, will be a big selling point too. Many families, multiple generations grew up with, and love Nintendo’s many IPs. More people know of Mario than Mickey.
They had all the time to fix up these constant problems from the previous ride yet they decided to worsen the condition of the ride, most advanced Iger imagineering
To be somewhat fair, some Universal rides break down often when they're new as well. Especially ones by Intamin. Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure was notoriously rushed to accommodate the celebrities at its respective media event, though to my knowledge it did not break down while they were riding it.
It doesn’t appear they actually refurbished the ride system, just a low budget re-theme.
@HigherQualityUploads Tiana’s isn’t a new ride though. It’s an existed ride that’s been reskinned. That’s completely different than Hagrids which was a completely new ride when it opened and featured many different moving parts that weren’t really seen before
Disney really needs to stop underestimating the intelligence of their customers. They’re mad because in their minds “the pigs won’t just eat their slop.”
It would help if people stopped going into debt going on a Disney vacation, too.
That's because it's gotten to the point where even the pigs are saying "I can't eat this- it's SLOP!"
The problem is that they are stupid themselves. Stupid and stubborn is a deadly combo.
They actually didn't. The just lost the passion and just don't seem to care anymore. If they care like OLC does with Tokyo Disney Resort and build quality expansions, Disney doesn't even have to worry about what Universal does. Japan also has a Universal Park with new Nintendo World expansion, but Tokyo Disney Resort still has many people coming and with the new Fantasy Springs expansion, more and more people are coming in to the point they have to do crowd control measures. Mind you many people and tourists would travel to Osaka and Tokyo back and forth just to go both Disney and Universal parks. Disney World could have market opportunity if they have passion to build quality expansion, US market is big enough where many people don't mind to go to Orlando and visit 2 parks as long as they have quality. Disney doesn't realize that market where both parks in the same city in Orlando is an advantage as many would go to one and the other the next day, they miss the market opportunity.
@@GI876758Here’s where I disagree with you. Disney realizes that. The initial Harry Potter areas for Islands of Adventure and Diagon Alley in Universal was credited with increasing park attendance for Universal AND Disney. That’s also what inspired them to do Toy Story Land, Galaxy’s Edge, Pandora, etc. The real problem with Disney is that they lost care. Epic Universe is coming and they respond with Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and Smellephants on Parade
Dollywood won by absolutely doing nothing!
Dollywood is da bomb.
Well I wouldn't say that. They're clearly competent, at what they set out to do. As advertise. That's Something.
They didn't do nothing Dollywood just has the charm that Disney has lost
I usually go to WDW every December. I am skipping this year and going to Dollywood. I have had it planned for about 6 months. I have never been. I can't wait.
It did do something; it just embraced itself which is most often the best thing you can do.
Not even Splash Mountain is happy with what they did to it, so its throwing out a fit and not working on purpose.
Try as they might, Disney just couldn’t get rid of the Br’ers.
I feel like the Country Bears have teamed up with the Br’ers. CB’s final performance had the Bears constantly breaking down. I normally prefer to be present to say goodbye to my favorite attractions but I’m not disappointed I wasn’t there for that. I’d rather remember them functioning. And now here we have SOTS throwing a fit, too. And rightly so… I am hoping that this “fit” is loud enough to help Walt’s spirit come through and help steer the company in a better direction…
I feel the anger of the machine spirit's of Splash Mountain, and I hear them speak that they want justice to what they have done to them. Walt's spirit is helping them get justice for their transgressions.
The water ride at Rye Playland is way better than “Splash Mountain” and the least recent “Tiana’s Bayou Adventure”. Rye Playland is the one to go to in Rye, NY, and then, there’s Luna Park in Coney Island where it has rides and attractions there. Those were places to go to in New York and stay away from Walt Disney World which is too expensive.
Would Walt Disney accept or even ENTERTAIN a "necessary downgrade" from any ride in his park??? Are you serious??? At a certain point...you can tell who's part of the Disney cult and defend them when they are absolutely in the wrong
It's like they are handing the gold medal to Universal. If Epic Universe delivers on what has been promised then 2025 will be a very slow year at WDW.
Disney doesn't stand a chance against Epic Universe.
Not a chance!
Disney can barely hold a candle to Universal's offerings as they stand currently.
Disney doesn’t stand a chance aginst the movies Nintendo has in the pipeline with Universal. Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Star Fox, and so on. So many rides, movies, and merch. What does Disney have to get families and gamers alike to buy their stuff? Not much. In gaming, Disney can’t compete with Nintendo. Or Sega for that matter.
Funny you should mention EPIC because I'm looking at a model of it right now on RUclips
Sorry to wreck your fantasy but that’s not true. Without Disney Orlando is nothing and it’s a fact. I’m sorry. I love epic universe, and I think it will bring a lot of people but dude realistically it’s not
Just tear it all down and rebuild "Aunt Jemima's Pancake House."
Best pancakes ever!
Dress the Tiana anamatronic as Aunt Jemima. 🤣
🤣
In Song of the South there is one brief scene in which the sharecroppers (NOT slaves) are singing a beautiful African song while working in the fields. It is sort of like the ice-gatherers in Frozen singing as they work. People do this from time to time.
I love the fact that she started singing! I’m not criticizing the song. To me, she seemed to be wanting to have fun and cheer up the disappointing ride for people.
That being said, the Tiana’s Boring Boatride was nothing but a Huge Mistake!
She did sound great
I think I would about argue that she upstaged “Special Spice” there. 😂🤣
@@bunberrier But unsuccessful and unpopular as proved, sorry to point out.
We all know why these 4 incel neckbeards didn’t like her singing.
@@NickyHelp absolutely! The least they could do is build a ride… Instead they went with “inconvenient seating” and “stand around and wait” 😂
Pixie Dusters making excuses for this disasterous downgrade are the same people who want their kid to be excited for a participation trophy.
What ever?!!
I was at Morocco at Epcot opening day, and they had a Moroccan wedding there - it was spectacular - they really immersed you in the culture- flowers, rose petals raining down, singing and dancing, I'll never forget it. They were all talking about the King's artisans who insisted on doing the work there. Today they have no respect for anything but virtue signaling to an imaginary audience
What can they to improve this, these were literally made by Moroccan themselves, including the actual KING. insanity.
Did the current Moroccan king come out and basically say Disney has crapped all over the Moroccan pavilion with the repaint of the tiles?
They can’t claim to be culturally aware and then destroy authentic Moroccan tile work. If it was in such dire repair, the best thing to do would be to hire artisans to fix it. They have billions of dollars. There is no good excuse for them to destroy something so beautiful and culturally significant.
I saw what they did to that pavilion. That was my favorite Epcot pavilion. It was not like being in a theme park ( my opinions of animal kingdom btw) what they did to that mosaic work….. 😳😳😳
I would be laughing my butt off if Epic Unaverse has there own Splash Mountain as a expansion in the future just to spite at Disney. complete with the brer rabbit, brer Fox, brer bear, Mr. blue bird and the Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah song!
YES YES YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSS!!!!!!!
oh my God that whould be Delicious All PixieDusters Crying
Yummy Yummy Delicious Tears of Unfathomable Sadness
Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls at Islands of Adventure is Universal’s equivalent to Splash, and It’s the best log flume in Florida.
@@user-ok1ek9qx3g I guess I have been living under a rock then
Now I’m wondering what would happen if you wanted to make a theme park water-ride and basically ripped-off Splash Mountain; Would Disney sue? They seem to be ashamed of the intellectual property, and have no intentions of capitalizing on it!
The zelda ride is said to be an indoor boat ride... So Fingers crossed 🤞
I'm going to ride Tiana and as we take the long, dark corridor to approach her as she sits on her log judging me, I'm singing zip a dee do dah at the top of my lungs!
There’s a great medley on Spotify of the splash mountain songs that you can play while on the ride. Have everyone on your log play it at the highest volume and sing along 😊
Be careful. You might get accused of being an Far Right racist lol.
@@cherylshishkoff-qs9ho wear VR headset playing back splash mountain !! complete the experience LOL
I'll give Jennifer the benefit of the doubt. Whether you like her singing or not, she was putting in extra work to try to cheer up the disappointed riders. She probably wasn't expecting to have to make up for the new "Imagineers"'s defects.
Agree. She's an lunatic, but was put in a tough spot there and handled it well. Anyone who can make lemonade out of lemons is going to be in high demand at DisneyWorld for the foreseeable future, because, man, do they have a lot of lemons.
@@shteebo She definitely obviously has more of the old "Disney spirit" than most of the people currently working there
If they only had songs like that one on the ride more logs would be filled. Kudos to her ability to make the best of the situation.
The presence of celebrities does not fix mechanical failures…
My wife and I and our 5 yo girl are waiting and watching the universal website for when you can buy tickets for Epic. We plan to stay at the Stella nova resort. See mario. Harry potter and how to tame your dragon. I am particularly excited for dark universe as I love the old school horror monsters like wolfman and Dracula.
Disney has blown it. We will take our family vacation elsewhere
I mean when you put it like that, Universal does sound like alot more fun doesn't it, get me a ticket too! No. Seriously, I want to go to Universal for sure!
Dark Universe is my must see as well. Been a Universal Monsters fanatic for a very long time.
I think the band at Chuck E Cheese has more life than those "critters", and what's with the Alice in Wonderland mushrooms and that creepy screen of Tiana's face when you "shrink"?
its cringe !! that's what it is!
They need to put Iger and his cronies on the "new" ride. They longer they're stuck on it, the less time they have to make things worse.
Disney has been dead since 2005, they have the Drake factor, they believe they’re too big to fail. Imagineering is just a R&D department now because the sub contract everything out. Universal is doing what Disney did in the 80’s, they listen to the guests.
Hmmm... I would say they died after Tangled
Build Back Better as a theme park.
One quest states on your show, that his son wants to go to Epic Universe. One of our retired employees who is now 103 years old, who also worked construction at Disneyland, wants to go to Epic Universe and states never to another Disney Park, he is so disgusted. We are going to make that happen.
This is the Bob Iger legacy broken down barely maintained attractions and subpar experiences.
Don't forget ruining some of the biggest franchises in the history of human kind
Imagine not appreciating or even worse, hating food but opening a restaurant.
You gotta understand and appreciate the business. Walk loved people and he understood great talent that rises to the top, just like the cream.
Up until now only Disney understood how to knock it out of the park. Six flags gives thrills but little story or ambiance. Universal is quickly catching on and all because of an author of kids books who demanded complete immersive theming. They caught on. They made money because they understood the investment.
It’s like believing that everyone should eat nothing but quaker oats to prevent stoking impure passions and opening a restaurant. But then receiving Blackrock money and buying all the other restaurants.
I miss Splash Mountain. Bring back Splash.
As I used to say as a kid "I want to see Shamu at SeaWorld instead of stupid Mickey" Turns out 8 yr old me was ahead of the culture curve lol. Getting splashed by a real Orca is far cooler than Epsnot.
I was that way too but I wanted to go see Nickelodeon Studios at Universal more than Mickey.
I have two boys who were never into Disney. I, being older, had Bugs Bunny to compare to Mickey, and Looney Tunes was way more entertaining. But, I did like the parks. I've gone through all of the emotions, and have finally landed on indifferent. I don't care if I go to the parks ever again, there's just too many complications in every step of the process of visiting. They're not taking a big loss by losing me as a guest because other vacation destinations usually won out due to the fact that my kids, and husband for that matter, were always more excited about other things, but I'm not the type to completely write off something, so there must be plenty of other people who are feeling the same way.
@@GiaBlinks Even before Disney's turn I always wanted to take a trip to Olando and hit all the things to do other than Disney. I've done Universal and the Kennedy Space Center. Loved the Space Center but than again I've always been a fan of the space program
unfortunately Shamu became problematic so now it's just "the orca show."
You say that like it’s something to be proud of. If you were informed you would never think a performing abused animal was cool. Sea world should be shut down permanently and only operate as a rescue rehabilitation center. No performing animals/mammals.
If you go to disney now and your disappointed its your own damn fault. People need vote with their wallet. Stop going to these places till they change.
Amen Troy
Theoretically, that could be a good idea. But then how do they get the money to change for the better???
@@CosplayCore thats disneys job or problem to figure out. Most businesses that have issues need to borrow money to reimagine themselves. If they keep going down this route that people dont want them to do they deserve to either just shrink or go out of business.
Been trying to convince my family that disney's no good anymore but they refuse to believe me. I feel bad for my nephew, he's the one that really wants to go, because they're going to go and he's going to be so disappointed.
I have girl on my job. Who I can't convince that this ride is a mess. She apparently goes to Disney world quite often. As recently as four months ago. Even carries a Disney travel cup. She thinks what I'm telling WDW Pro is reporting is bs. But won't take the time to look into it. Sad stuff.
Laptops, chargers, slushies… They turned it into a Starbucks!
Exactly what I was thinking - EPCOT - Extremely Poor Coffeeshop Of Today
This massive on a breakdown is that last thing you want on a day with celebs and big wigs. Karma really slapped Disney hard on this one and its been long well deserved to. Even off the trailer sketchy carnival rides are more reliable than this now, this is just a standard thats even below that of Six Flags.
What if it's the ghost of Walt Disney shutting down the ride
Oooh I love that! Spooky, but love that idea. I think he’s haunting more than just that ride, he’s not liking what they’re doing to his legacy so he’s teaching them a lesson. You go Walt, punish these ingrates that inherited your life’s work and are ruining everything.
We were there over the weekend. Was staying at the Swan and Dolphin and even with Epcot at the back door, we went in simply to ride Guardians and leave one time. Walked by Communicore to see what it was all about. After viewing I realized I could go 5-10 years without going to Epcot and be completely fine. Between the 20 dollars drinks in child’s cups to the rides that have not been updated since God knows when. And after realizing the absolute shit show they created for so long with the walls and seeing the crap the produced with ZERO SHADE in 100 degree Florida heat. I’ll pass from now on. It’s so sad because this used to be a favorite park. Disney has been their own worst enemy in the past 10-12 years.
Nostalgia won’t work anymore when they’re actively destroying what was loved. Pirates, Jungle Cruise, Splash Mtn…
I feel like they’re actively destroying the nostalgia, and the problem is that that is why most people go-nostalgia. A memory of what it used to be, a memory of what you may have missed as a child. The 90s Disney was colorful, bright, and magical, and the company is getting rid of it all because modernism is “in” and it is colorless and characterless and is antithetical to what 70s-90s Disney was. Disney needs to stop chasing modernism in its superficial, surface-level form. They should advance technologically while maintaining history. And most importantly, they need to stop shitting on their old brand to try to make the same (but “modern”) brand look better.
Just remember this, folks. DEI stands for DIDN'T EARN IT. 😀👌
The Imagineers are finished if they can't even measure up to their older, more reliable standards of quality.
I'll be singing zipity doo dah on our drive up to Universals Epic Universe. 14 people in our party.
Let the Disneycott roll on!
Briar Rabbit having his laugh. Atleast Lewis gave some free entertainment. So we wear glasses inside Universal and we see extra stuff?
Disney is now, in every aspect a xerox machine printing the same rainbow stuff over and over, using as a template the blurry copy of a copy. We've all got that copy at school at some point, and we all know how nasty those copies are.
Anything Disney announces or is blue sky, take it with a HUGE grain of salt.
Maybe having a controversial replacement be the only major thing you have with Epic Universe coming wasn’t such a smart plan.
Universal's already eating WDW's lunch. Epic Universe is going to eat Disney's breakfast, dinner, and dessert!
And their midnight snack!
Dude, universal is a tadpole to Disney’s whale. Realistically, Universal doesn’t stand a chance against them and that’s just a fact you can hear all you want to Universal can’t beat them.

Too bad they ran Tony Baxter out. He probably the only one knows how the ride works! 😂
Pro what is the opposite of DEI? My favourite spot in Tokyo Disney Sea is the Teddy Roosevelt lounge on the second deck of the steamship. This bar oozes masculinity if you can get a reservation. I have waited 3 hours to get a table, yet worthwhile every time as the bar tells tale of our most flamboyant president. Thank goodness for Oriental Land Company.
di$ney has done this before.
They care less of the current visitors, they are shooting for the next generation of visitors
that don't know the old attractions and will think this is good, ugh!
This is the down grading of the di$ney parks and they are moving forward in this manner.
Fire Igor and the board of directors.
Walt’s ghost is haunting them all for their sad attempts and perpetual failures of his legacy. They inherited something great and are ruining all things that made Disney so great.
Here's the thing there's nothing wrong with people defending Disney but sometimes the company do need some constructive criticism I can understand that some criticism can come off as being cruel but it also helps improve your work.
Mama Odie mental breakdown on her attraction....... Oops... Sorry folks we are experiencing some technical difficulties with the logs..... please be patient with us. We are the new and improved Disney. Get used to it.....
Is this Park safe? 😮
I'm really not sure, the whole thing

Oh gosh...The Epcot looks kind of like a bad empty video game area set where you expect a boss battle hence the empty space....Oh dear. Oh dear. This is ......oh dear bring back the beautiful garden and add a couple of trees!! At least help the planet and plant more shade trees! Probably save someone from heat stroke! Oh dear. Oh dear.
They never should have messed with Splash Mountain. Karma is a Force witch. Universal will eat them alive.
yes i agree
If they'd been skimping on ride maintenance, then refurbished the ride to make it something new, that refurbishment will be perceived by the ride as 'provocative maintenance' - that is, maintenance which provokes failures.
This honestly speaks more to Disney's loss of essential culture than anything else.
Relax Disney. There’s nothing wrong with Broccoli Mountain that another year of downtime and another $100 million or so couldn’t fix. Piece of cake.
The Epcot one is personally sad to me. When I went the few times that I did in the past as a child, tomorrow world for me was the absolute favorite place for me. It made me feel quite at home with a normally chaotic life. With Epcot and tomorrow world being linked, this is very quite sad.
Disney used to be about excellence...about being so much better than the next best thing that the gap was light years of difference. Those days are long gone. Disney just doesn't care anymore.
Half of the parks are literally the same thing still. Also, what the hell does that even mean? Grow up

Did Disney hire Boeing to build the ride?
The obvious problem for Disney is that it simply doesn't have enough DEI .
“Clearly we need to double down on representation.”
Which stands for DIDN'T EARN IT. 😀👌
And when I take over Disney it will practice exclusion and homogeneity.
There are people and rightfully so who are avoiding anything Disney. It's embarrassing. Bob.
How did ANY of that Epcot construction take SOOOO long to finally reveal THAT??? It's the most ugly sterile and basic "update" I've seen
I’m sorry, but who’s Jennifer Lewis?
She voiced the character Mama Odie in the featured animated film (“Princess and the Frog”).
I don´t even believe in that stuff, but so many bad vibes that have been piling up by everyone involved in this "project" seem to be manifesting...
It is a macroscopic expression of very negative vibrations on the quantum level. The wave function is collapsing on top of them (physics nerd joke😝)
I won’t take my kids to a woke DisneyLand or DisneyWorld, ever.
How long does it usually take to plan and construct a ride of that size because from all intents and purposes, this sounds rushed as hell and they KNEW it.
It’s less “rushed” and more so “inexperienced DEI hires wasting so time in New Orleans that they forget to work on it.”
Oh, but epic universe isn’t considered rushed
@@EternityKingdomsHeadHonchoI still want to know the turn over because this is getting interesting. It may have been in the can for a while but it still feels off in terms of build time and how this ride is just clunking around even after its cold opening.
You got to be kidding me?! A necessary downgrade?! 😂😂😂
When you have billions, I fail to see how any downgrades are necessary.
Bottom line is this is not going to sell vacations
This is what happens when you rush a ride design.
yes i agree
The tv screens are so cheap thoughtless uncreative and really break the fourth wall it's bad enough they have them in three caballeris at Mexico but Tiana too
From my recollection, isn't it a good thing that Universal builds itself up for Disney? It will attract people to travel all the way to Orlando and then stop at disney too while they are already there.
Oh, that Rascally Rabbit did it again. 🐰 😂
Silver Dollar City is still the park of choice for my family. So no change necessary.
A water pump worked for years but then left dry will deteriorate the metal. They left it dry and probably never checked the condition of the pump.
I’ve been saving this for awhile, but I’m now ready to christen the “new” Disney flume ride as…Splat Mountain. Honestly, I’m beginning to think that the mess that my once beloved Disney has become is actually being carefully orchestrated. The powers that be are striking at the heart of culture, the very bonds which hold the people of a nation together. God bless and save America (from those who would happily burn her down.)
Song of the Salt Mine
No offense but I don’t think Disney world is THAT culturally important that it can be considered the bonds that hold a nation and its people together 💀 it’s a theme park… literally from the beginning it’s been about making money. It ain’t an orchestrated plot 😭
This should be a Pocahontas ride better or stay with the original ride.
Hitting another branch on the way down the tree of success
Keep in mind the ride system was never updated. The ride system was shut down for remodel with no water in the system. The corrosion and ware would have accelerated during this time. Items like pumps would fail as seals and gaskets fail. They knew this would happen because of past remodels but looked the other way. To fix it it the whole system now needs replacement. Plus all the footage looks bad anyway. Also keep in mind the money is not in the US anymore look at parks over seas, Disney actually no longer needs the US market. They don't care Epic Universe is coming.
D+ is a wine mom brand now. S.WARS, Marv., the parks all of it.
Ugh why is modern Soo Boring and why is it considered nice looking it's Soo boring that you can't even tell it was built by humans

I hope the phrase "necessary downgrade" haunts that blogger for the rest of their lives. No one should ever let them live that down.
Disney is old and outdated, then any classic favorites are slowly being eroded by DEI objectives. More families are going to realize that Disney is the past and now also a negative experience for kids and adults. I'm not sure what their end game is when they seem focused on pushing customers to their competitors.
When you take away the meritocracy and drive away those who strove for excellence you end up with those who are just there for the paycheck or lacking in what's needed to keep the magic happening.
Damn, I love Disney... but next year Epic Universe is TAKING OVER!
Dollywood already beats DisneyWorld
I am also so tried of the "Blue Sky" concept art and then the absolute crap they eventually gets built. I can't understand why Community Collage Cafeteria Corps isn't closer to the concept art it could not have been that expensive ( relative to hotels and attractions).

The Disney company is going to get eaten by the Epic universe.
Ty guys!
“Yeah, yeah, but John, when Tiana’s Bayou Adventure breaks down Louis doesn’t eat the tourists.”
I had never heard of the movie "Song of the South" until the big tadoo with getting rid of splash mountain. All I know is my family loved Splash and it was our favorite ride. I have since bought the film and think it is beautiful. Really miss Splash Mountain.
Oh my God Go Jennefer for singing on a log!! Sending lots of love her way! My God!! You gotta give her credit, for using her natural talent to entertain her poor fellow theme park goers stuck in the bayou! Hats off to her! ....Boy oh boy though, Disney? Where are you?
Replacing a beautiful fountain with a ho-hum picnic space at Epcot was a big let-down. Moana was an attraction that deserves going through once but not twice. Tomorrowland used to truly “tomorrow” land. Now it’s yesterday land. Replacing The Great Movie Ride with a kiddy ride is ridiculous. They could have updated it with movies that had major impacts since 1990. If you don’t eat and drink Star Wars then don’t waste money going to Hollywood Studios. No reason to buy annual or day pass again, especially at prices that have inflated twice what general inflation has been. Disney has become a millionaire club only with no imagineers left, only little copiers.
Considering episode three of the Acolyte having witches
Imagineering sure as hell isn't what it used to be!
Epic Universe looks INCREDIBLE. Bye, bye Disney.
