- Can I say bollock?
- Yes
Few seconds later..
- WHAT THE FUCK 🤣🤣🤣
Ah, the British.
shes got like the most english accent ever
Right! It’s almost Received Pronunciation, but still standard southern English.
I mean...yeah?😂
Her and Rosamund Pike lol
I hear this line about a lot of English people and I never understand what it means? Like I've never heard an American speak and thought "That's an especially American sounding person" 😂
Wait till you hear mia goth
I know Frances Mcdormand is an extraordinary actress and nomadland was a beast of a film but I truly believe Carey deserved that Oscar for Promising Young Woman
You can say that again! Carey was so close to winning and I'm sad for that. At least Fennell took home Best Original Screenplay
Definitely!!!
Yes.
I'm Right there too!!!
definition of rubbed
Carey Mulligan is one of the best actress of her generation. Pride and Prejudice, An Education, Inside Llewyn Davis (my goodness she has a great singing voice), The Dig, Far From The Madding Crowd, Drive, Suffragette and of course her groundbreaking turn Promising Young Woman which she was definitely outside of her comfort zone in that movie, I promise myself to watch every movie that has her in it. Her talent is mesmerising
Wildlife was also very good.
If you haven't seen the PBS Masterpiece miniseries version of Charles Dickens' Bleak House starring Gillian Anderson, I'd highly recommend it. Carey plays a supporting role, alongside a fantastic cast including the masterful Charles Dance, Anna Maxwell Martin and a long list of other talented, recognizable actors.
Don't know about being the best, but she IS the cutest.
Promising young woman is incredible. But she is great in everything I have seen her in.
I also love her acting in Never Let Me Go!
My favorite line of hers which I'm sad wasn't included is from Never Let Me Go: "Maybe none of us really understand what we've lived through or feel we've had enough time."
I was hoping they were going to ask her that, Never Let Me Go was such a good movie, with such great actors, it didn't get the recognition it deserved (I did read the book prior to watching the movie) and the musical score by Rachel Portman is sublime.
Mine too! This is one of my favourite lines from a movie - always stayed with me.
Never Let Me Go is so underrated. Such a moving little film.
same! such a devastating and underrated movie. all three lead actors were brilliant.
YES!
Carey Mulligan is hands down one of my favorite acting professionals.
I love how almost all of British actresses and actors have naturally beautiful wrinkles and natural teeth. And how they don’t give a flick and worry about how to look “ perfect “
It’s so cool that 3 Bennett sisters are Oscar nominated actresses (Keira, Rosamund and Carey)
What's great all three of them have worked together in other projects after Pride and Prejudice. Keira and Carey reunite in Never Let Me Go whereas Pike and Carey have worked in An Education and Saltburn following Pride and Prejudice. It's so clear that these three especially are great friends
Real ones remember her as Sally Sparrow.
Emerald’s poisonous candy reference for Carey’s character in Promising Young Woman is so spot on.
Looking back to Pride and Prejudice following the actor's success is insane. You got Tom Wambsgans, the CEO of Waystar Royco as Mr Darcy. And then you got Elizabeth Swann, Amy Dunne, Daisy Buchanan, Johanna Mason and Elon Musk's ex wife as the Bennet sisters. Then also President Coriolanus Snow as the father of the Bennet sister (i mean my god, Johanna was Snow's daughter in Pride and Prejudice). The movie's casting is absolutely perfection! Can't believe it's been *18 YEARS* since the movie first came out
Carey Mulligan has such a great voice, I could just listen to her talking for hours. Thank you for this video, it was so much fun!
And smile
Fell in love with her in Drive (2011), have loved all her performances since.
Her role in Drive is soooo underrated, she nailed that character! And her chemistry with Ryan too!
I love all her roles! Definitely one of the best of her generation hands down!
Can you image about 5 acting schools rejected her ?
If you are being rejected, it doesn't mean you are bad
I would love if Carey wins an Oscar. This could be her year for ‘Maestro’! 🎼
Just saw Maestro, I'll scream if she doesn't get the Oscar.
@@hMusic-tb8hl ah thanks for the comment! I will see it with family this week. Apparently she will have major competition with Emma Stone!
Emma will get it
@@cosankaradeniz2042 after seeing Poor Things, I totally agree. Emma totally deserves it for the iconic role of Bella Baxter.
I love Carey in Maestro but it's going to be a bad luck for her since she's facing off some incredible competition. Her strongest chance to win was when she was nominated for Promising Young Woman, like man she was so close to winning in my mind. Fuck that! 😢
I can listen to Carey Mulligan talk all day
she deserves an Oscar already.
Carey is the sweetest. Great person❤
Extraordinary actress, always a delight to watch..❤
Surprised they didn't hit NEVER LET ME GO. One of her best roles and a great movie.
She screams old Hollywood talent and it’s so cool. Shes so talented.
She’s coming for that Oscar. She was ROBBED for Promising young woman
If you've seen Inside Llewyn Davis and Far From The Madding Crowd, you'd know that Carey can actually sing. Because of that, somebody please cast her in a musical movie. Her range fits perfectly for a musical movie 🤗
Her role in Bleak House literally changed my life. I broke up with my bf of 2+ years and took my life in a completely different direction. So so glad I did.
she’s so incredibly talented i love her so much
I could listen to her voice all day. If she's not already narrating books, she should be.
LOVE Carey AND her accent! ☺❤✨
The Boomers have Meryl Streep, Generation X has Kate Winslet and Millennials have the GREAT Carey Mulligan!!!
Adding to the list below: Mudbound. If I know Carey is in a movie I made sure I see it. I'm never disappointed.
My favourite actress forever. «Never let me go» and «Education» was the pictures that made me fall in love with her play, and then she shined in Gatsby and Suffragette. I was shocked seeing her aging in this interview, but I adore her eyes as bright as teenager's.
The Great Gatsby line is one of my absolute favorites💗🤌🏻
"Bollocked. Can I say bollocked?"
5 sec later
"What the fuck?"
Love her.
I think bollocked is a british term and americans probably may not understand what it means
thank you for such an entertaining video, Carey Mulligan is such a talented actor, she brings such depth and nuance to every role she takes on, Never Let Me Go and Far From the Madding Crowd are two of my favourite films.
She's the best, I love her ❤️
I adore her... just so lovely hearing and watching her.
The Dig is still one of my favorite movies. Thank you 💕💜💕💜
I first saw her in Never let me go and I was so moved by her performance and I started watching more of her works and that's when I saw An education and she was mind blowing......
She gave one of the most memorable performances in Promising young woman and it's such a shame she wasn't even nominated at the Baftas..... That was so messed up why did her own country let her down so bad...... I was so sure she 100% would win Bafta......
Such an amazing actress.
I adore her!! Why she hasn’t won an Oscar yet I will never know!! Xx
She had two Oscar nominations so far and in my opinion, she should've won for both An Education and Promising Young Woman. Or won either one of them I wouldn't be mad
Should've won for Promising Young Woman.
She deserved to win in 2021! So unfair
The fact that shes married to Marcus Mumford is so random but also makes so much sense? She’s such a great actress!
What about never let me go ?
This is really interesting to me because I feel like actors (especially post British ones) always act like they don’t care about Oscars or awards, so it’s really cool to hear her be appreciative or caring about it.
I love her and how she talks about her husband lol i love marcus mumford
Same❤❤
Don't Blink!
Incredible actress and woman! 🐐🎗
An Education is one of my favorite movies
Can't believe Carey thought it was boring
Whenever Carey and Rosamund Pike had a scene together in An Education, I just started giggling because it's literally Jane and Kitty in an alternate universe 😂
I LOVEUH Carey.🖤🖤🖤
Lets just appreciate how much of time and work he puts in these videos to make our day, huge respect!! 🎉🎉
Damn her voice
What a beautiful career
Where is Never let me go😢 💜
My favorite lines from PYW were when she was in the Dean’s office:
“ Fortunately for you I don’t have as much faith in boys as you do”
“ Who needs brains, they never did a girl any good “
And my favorite
“ Well that’s a shame “
How does she manage to look 21 and 45 at the same time?
Famous movies... how about any line from the greatest Doctor Who episode of all time :-).
I waited 10 minutes for a phrase from "Never Let Me Go" but there was nothing :(.
I'm missing "I love old things. They make me sad." or "I’m clever. And I’m listening. And don’t patronize me because people have died and I’m not happy."
I was expecting "where's the deluxe version?" From Drive😂😂😂😂
If she doesn’t win for Maestro I will eat my hat.
I hope they do with Thora Birch
They should have included that line from Inside Llewyn Davis where she was cussing to Oscar Isaac about wearing a condom 😅😅😅
Wait a second... Carey Mulligan is British??? When did that happen? I always thought she was from Massachusetts!
Marcus mate, don't ever blow this.
Carey Culligan, Mary Mulligan, Mary Culligan
Pure Class and Beautiful xx
La máquina de escribir hace ruido 💛💙❤️
With that voice she can narrate documentaries on, I don't know, hip-hop.
I drive you know....
Her voice sounds pretty mature.
I like her Moal close of her lips she is very prefesinoal
Don't blink! Blink and your dead! Don't turn your back. Don't look away. And don't blink! Good luck!
Don’t blink!
Lucky Mumford guy
How old is Carey? An Education is a great movie.
"Can I say bollocked?"
Yeah sure, we don't have a clue what the fuck that means. :D
2:09
It doesn't count but I wish she had been asked; 'Bit freaked, need to talk. Making you a coffee'
When i watch The great gatsby, i thought she was American with high voice. I surprised she was english and lower voice.
her American accent 🥹🥹
I drive
Ese saco que viste debe ser de su abuelo.
rip
Kitty
Never knew she was english
No drive?
I said 3 and then she said 3, lol!! Coincidence or telepathy?
No lines from Shame?
Don't see a lot of people commenting about that film. I don't think I can recite any lines from it though, her singing is the most memorable bit of it.
No Shame? Well that's a shame.
can we get a margot robbie edition of this video?
Perhaps she’s English?
I didn't know she was brittish?
Not unless I retrieve them out of the archives and watch them for the first time. Too busy watching "The George Floyd Project"
She’s in the worst movie I’ve ever seen: She Said. Congratulations on that feat of “my helmet is too tight” cinema.
Just arrived here to see how the career of the girl from Don't Blink went down since then. She's famous?! Never heard of her other than that classic Doctor Who episode.
she sounds and talks like a 60 year old.
She looks like an 80-year-old woman who received the best plastic surgery ever.
so she was expecting to be nominated? lol, her performance in pyw was v thin
it was the best that year and she should have won
She looks so old lol. Like in her 50s. She was mid before, now she's even more mid.
She looks her age. Everybody else is botoxed and operated. That's the difference!
C U N Tuesday
aaaah yess another unsolicited comment on someone else's look 💋
que mujer hermosa es la inglesa 🌹 saludos 🙋
shoulda put lines from "drive"
