the brush that you are showing at the beginning is an amazing brush.. look at the head size and shape.. You saw the brush before buying it??? yes money does not grow on trees.. you are right about that.. seeing a brush in person is a fantastic experience!!!

No, I wasn’t able to see it in person before buying it. 😅 what I meant was when I was the picture on the Fude Beauty webpage, I instantly bought it. Hahah but truthfully, I prefer to see a brush first before buying them. Especially the expensive ones.

This brush is so beautiful, I did not buy any of the other chikuhodo makie brushes and was so sad to have missed out on them. I think I'm definitely getting this one.

Super beautiful. It’s okay if you don’t have the others. You weren’t meant to have one until today. Brushes have a way of capturing your heart. 😘

Hi Tor - loved your comparisons of the different brushes - they all look beautiful! I would have loved it if you'd used one brush on one side of your face and another on the other - seeing them used on the face would have been great! Have you ever come across the Surratt Artistique Face Brush? I have a feeling that you've said in the past that you don't use Surratt but I thought I'd ask. I am looking for a blue squirrel brush for pigmented bronzer that gives some direction. Do you have any ideas? I worry that a brush which is bushy would end up looking muddy on me so I thought something with direction of some sort would be good. I had originally wanted the W Goss Artist Collection large brush ( a kind of candle shape - made of squirrel and goat I think) but it seems to no longer be available at Beautylish and they can't give me any idea if it'll return. I like applying bronzer very incrementally and that brush would have been good for me. But I do have very sensitive skin so squirrel would now be my preference. Great video Tor xx

I do apologize for not doing a demo on my face - I scrapped the idea last minute because the video was getting a little too long. 😅 But I feet that I had to "play" with the MK-SK first off screen. This was just an intro. But For sure, I will be using this in some of my upcoming videos.
I actually do not plan to use this brush for bronzers - it's way too soft. If my bronzer would come in loose powder form, I will reconsider. You would need a more resilient brush to blend it out. So that Wayne Goss Artist brush, based on your description, sounds more suitable. The goat/squirrel hair mix would give strength to the core - especially if you like to use it in a directional/sculpting manner. But there's been a lot of talk on-line about the evolution of Japanese make-up bruhes and the fact that some materials are quite difficult to come by now, not to mention expensive - maybe that Wayne Goss Artist brush might be out of production by now. Just maybe. just asked to be notified if and when this comes back on sale.
Do check out the Chikuhodo FO series brushes, especially the FO-4 for a directional application of bronzer because it's angled. The FO-3 is the more traditional shape - these two work amazingly well. Very soft (comparable to Squirrel) and very resilient.
Surrat brushes I have been admiring from a far, but they don't sing to me just yet.
