We're definitely Team Carry-on...I've found the following covers 90% of my clothes needs: 3 tops: tank, tshirt, long sleeve / 3 bottoms: jogger, trouser, maxi skirt / 3 layers: button down shirt, cardigan, jacket = at least 25 days of clothes. We also use the mnemonic 3 P's: Passport, Phone, Pay (Wallet) for leaving for airports, getting out of taxis/trains/buses, checking out of hotels, etc. We added a Scrubba Wash Bag in order to do laundry on the go and it helps cut down on costs.
Carry on is definitely the most convenient. When I was young and thin it was easy to pack multiple items because my clothes were the size of a handkerchief. It’s not that easy now that I’m 60-something and my clothes are bigger than “a little tank top”.
Great video 😊 I always place a small drawstring bag inside my pack bag which holds inflight essentials like kindle, headphones, gum, hand wipes, chap stick etc. I can place my back pack in the over head bin and essentials are close at hand. Saves rummaging through bag mid flight. One thing to add with Carry On- WEIGHT! In Australia 🇦🇺 it’s 7 kilos combined suitcase and backpack/ handbag. This is close to impossible with overseas flights. I have mastered packing, but 7 kilos it’s ridiculous.
I pack carryon only and personal item. I have a packing list that I use for essential items. I add (or take away) depending on the weather and activities I will be participating in. Happy Travels!
Hi! Great video! How much do your luggage+backpack weigh? In southeast asian airlines, they're very strict about the combined weight of cabin bag+personal bag (7kg limit)😭I pack lightly too, but my small luggage already weighs 3kg, and my laptop 2kg😂
@@jemimamangco9913I fell for the Beis hype and was so disappointed. Although the quality is great, I HATE the clamshell opening. It’s much harder to pack.
a shoe trick: Use pashions shoes, they are confortable heels that turn into flats, so you are packing a flat and the heel part takes very little space, they will look pointy when you get first them, i just put a 25 pound dumbell on top of them overnight(once), and then when you wear them as flats the front stays flat (they will look pointy when you are not wearing them, dont be scared haha)
If your flight offers it, it will be available as an add-on at the moment you buy your ticket and while you're checking in online! It's usually called "speedy boarding" "board first" "vip boarding" etc

If they dont have enough overhead bin space for your carry on, they check your carry on for free. But.... you would have to wait for your luggage, and they might lose it. 🙄 Fitting more things in your carry on isn't a problem, a problem is staying within a weight limit. Some airlines check the weight of your carry on, some dont. But in Europe its 7-10 kg that you are allowed to bring with you on board.

💜 It stressed me more to fit all in small bags and under 8kg (Europe) as waiting for my luggage. BUT I fly not often, so it doesn’t matter 😅

They weigh A LOT more 🤣 in the 2 years they’ve only weighed them once and we had to check them in. Other than that, they have never checked

Correct they do check it for free but the point is to save time & avoid getting it lost so I try to avoid them checking it in
