It's the first time in my life that, through an artistic medium, especially in a movie, I see ONLY TWO MEN IN LOVE ... Please let me explain myself ... I have always seen two gay men on any type of media,...or a gay and a straight man, who actually is bisexual, or not exactly a bi man and just wants to have an experience, maybe his first and last one with a man, or suddenly discovers his hidden gay side, repressed, latent... or two bisexuals, or two gays locked in the closet hermetically ... Lots of situations, conditions, backgrounds, labels... That is why for me this film is so strangely magnetic, strangely different and so beautiful, strangely beautiful ... Because it is the first time that I have seen JUST TWO MEN IN LOVE, without labels, without adjectives, ... Kay is not gay, although he reaffirms himself saying he actually is, Kay is just a MAN, for many people who have watched the film, Kay is just a man...and the same in respect to the character of Marc; MARC IS NOT AN UP- TO THAT MOMENT STRAIGHT MAN WHO DISCOVERS THAT HE IS BISEXUAL; OR NOT, MAYBE KAY IS THE FIRST AND LAST MAN WHO HE IS GOING TO HAVE AN HOMO RELATIONSHIP WITH... In my opinion, there is a before and an after not only in the LGTBI cinema history, but rather in general cinema history, because, I insist on, the key and best thing about this film is that although apparently it is the story of a gay man and a straight man, it is not in the end. The director has expertly managed to show us the true, passionate love of two men in a film that resists the idea of labelling them with more adjectives. THIS IS VERY DIFFICULT TO OBTAIN, BUT STEPHAN LACANT DOES. How? With a superb direction of his actors, TWO EXCELLENT ACTORS, HANNO KOFFLER and MAX RIEMELT, who are in a state of grace with their true, sincere, wonderful performance ( also noteworthy is the excellent performance of Katharina Schuttler). An incredibly terrific film! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! THANKS FOR BEING SUCH GREAT PROFESSIONALS AND LETTING US ENJOY THIS WONDERFUL FILM! Greetings from Barcelona!
