M.U.G.E.N: Peppino Released + new stages!

- After a good 2 and a half months of work, Peppino is now finally released! Complete with a moveset taken from his attacks from Pizza Tower, alongside the mach system, combo meter and even ranks from said game!
Thank you all so much for the overwhelming support from my last few videos involving Peppino, with his WIP showcase becoming my most viewed video by a long shot. I hope i've been able to give to you guys the best Peppino I could've possibly made! He'll also be laying the foundation for any future Pizza Tower characters I make so stay tuned for those. Enjoy!

2/18/24 note: PEPPINO WON COTY!!! Thank you to everyone who enjoyed this character, I've never thought he would go as far as he said. I'm extremely grateful for how overwhelmingly positive his reception has been from the whole community and I hope not to disappoint you guys with any of my future releases!

I like how the characters correlate with the stage! Kung fu man in the tutorial (training room), meta knight in pizzascape (knight peppino powerup), bomberman in ancient cheese (bomb mechanic), etc.

Excellent work dude, and a whole Pizza Tower stage pack to go with it, that's fantastic.
Me and my friends play a MUGEN pack together a lot and many of us are hyperfixated on Pizza Tower right now, but we had to settle with the old, outdated Peppino and Noise characters. This is EVERYTHING we've been hoping for and you have certainly given the MUGEN-playing PT fans out there a huge amount to chew on. I salute you a hundred times. Good show. GOOD show.
A character this comprehensive created in 2 and a half months? Mach speed work. Not the biggest fan of how the run system is implemented but everything else is smashing. Going to have such a blast on these new stages too, love the PT soundtrack.
Yeah a HUGE portion of those 2 and a half months were spent solely on working on this character. Glad you like the character, though I do ask if you have any suggestions on how I could improve the run system?
@@SB407_MUGEN The run system is not bad or glitchy at all, I just accidentally cause Peppino to roll from running constantly which does not seem to have a purpose. It's me though not the character.
ah, gotcha. i mostly just kinda added the roll for the sake of source accuracy though it could probably be used to roll over projectiles

Amazing work! Not only did you finish the character and the John Gutter stage, you even made more PT stages like Bloodsauce Dungeon, the tutorial, The Ancient Cheese, etc.

This is a great character I had a blast playing with him also I have a question how do you make these characters outside the obvious things like fighter factory since im making a weegee for mugen since mugen currently dosent have that many good ones mostly asking cuz it’s my first time modding mugen

hey, i got idea for new attack! Like, tha ultimate attack but not, you need two bars power, and pre ABC or smth, then, peppino goes to rage, and just makes ultimate combo, not like the final attack, when peppino rages out, he beat the 4 health of bosses, but in mugen he gonna hit the 49% of hp or more, maybe that gonna the replacement for ultimate attack, thanks if you see that, hope, you add it

only Downside to the stages is that it isn't made for Ikemen and as the fight goes on the mooks in the background don't get murked
can u fix it so that he doesnt freeze the game in watch/simul mode
I already played with him and something strange i found one of his moves crash the game when hitting more that one opponents with the médium kick + down mostly on 4v4
i've been trying to look into that but in the meantime it might be best to just avoid using peppino in simul mode. he wasn't exactly the most stable there anyway but i'll at least try to find a way to stop him from crashing when that happens
ok i found a solution to the bug i think. for the OTG custom fall state controller I put in "enemynear,alive" instead of "target,alive" and it doesnt seem to crash anymore. ill put up a hotfix in a bit for it

@@WinterDHX as far as i know he doesnt crash anymore. havent tested too extensively but from the bit that i tested he doesnt seem to crash when hitting multiple opponents with otg moves anymore

its excellent i just would like if you make the mach run do instant damage just like the max speed but the damage not too high and for max speed the same just double (maybe less if unbalanced) damage

Hey so, crouching strong kick sometimes crashes the game
@@Wabbit_Guy i feel like it may be because i accidentally left a second really small hitbox in the move's .air file. ill put up another hotfix to see if that fixes it
edit: wait i found out what the actual issue was! apparently peppino will cause the game to crash when hitting more than one opponent in simul mode. peppino isnt exactly the most stable in simul nor is he built for it in the first place but i can try to see what i can do
