Great stuff! Another tip you can add is, slide an empty water bottle over the barrel to keep solvent mist from coming out the end of the barrel and its a place for your patches to fall! 👍
About 6-7 years ago I watched a few videos from some pretty elite shooters that didn't ever clean copper and tried it myself. I don't have any of the "cold bore" problems or need to do fouling shots. My groups never spread, in fact have probably gotten better over time. I simply brush a few times, a few patches and solvent to get the carbon out and then light oil - probably 5 minutes max. From my experience, copper doesn't continually build, it gets to a certain point and then stays there which provides a very consistent situation as every bullet sees the exact same barrel conditions.
Most excellent job I might ad after about 500 rounds on magnums it is good to use sweets 7.62 solvent it removes 90 % of cooper build up but leaves enough to keep accuracy also for muzzle brake carb- out from sharp shoot R is quick at removing carbon available at Brownells
if you take no other advice, take THIS ADVICE. NEVER CLEAN YOUR GUN WHEN YOU ARE INTOXICATED. ALWAYS REMOVE ALL AMMO FROM YOUR MAGAZINES DURING CLEANING. this may seem excessive or superflous but it could save your life. you will naturally become distracted during the boring process of cleaning so ensure you are clear headed and have NO ammo in your mags to prevent accidental discharge
Always astounds me how many people think a bronze brush could harm a stainless steel barrel. It can’t. Only possibly the brush if a direction change 1/2 way.
I went to clean my rifle barrel I used a wet patch then I let it set then I used the brush after I brush it I use the patch then I repeat I did this like 5 times and the patches just won’t come out clean any suggestions
I always get sketched out pulling my jag backwards across the crown so I always remove it before pulling the rod back through. Weird I know. How new was the rifle when you made this? Seems like a lot of copper fouling for a barrel that should be broke in I’d think.
Hey Josh. Very, very similar. Here is an article that Brady wrote on the process he used to break in a new rifle barrel. Let us know if you have any questions, and have a great weekend. Breaking in a new rifle barrel: www.gohunt.com/read/skills/how-to-break-in-new-rifle-barrel

Great insight Bob! Thanks for sharing
Went digging in some of my old trucks and found the first gun I’ve ever shot! Hasn’t been cleaned in eight years and this helped a lot.
Thank you for this video. I'm new to owning guns and i couldn't find a good video on cleaning.

@3:38, pulled the cleaning bad back through the bore. most others say never reverse clean.

Thanks for commenting this, this is very important
Is a wire brush bad for the bore? Standard gun cleaning kits don’t come with a nylon brush.

A good helpful video thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
Nice video very informative
Glad you enjoyed it!
Ever tried Wipe out foam bore cleaner?
Do you need a bore guide if you have a carbon fiber rod ?

What if like CLR whole rifle is dipped in acid (soft or hard based on ur preference) for cleaning
Anything on that
Is this the same process you use when breaking in the barrel in between your shots?

It would go much faster with a bronze brush .
Too much talk papa
