Im not a fan of Queen, the Stones...even though i have 4 of their albums and AC/DC...even though i was their guest when they played the Marquee Club in London in 1976. I thought they were great fun as people and they were generous with the drink and drugs. When i tell people this they look at me funny when i tell them i have none of their albums. My music tastes go much further than English artists. So, here are 5 or so artists who didnt really make a bad album and if they ever did falter, they more than made up for it in subsequent releases. In no particular order: Van Morrison. Rory Gallagher. Leonard Cohen The Who Neil Young Joni Mitchel Steely Dan Stevie Wonder Simon and Garfunkle JJ Cale Kate Bush The Eels Mercury Rev The Flaming Lips Beck Dylan......i better stop here. As i said, if any of these artists produced a bad album, they more than redeemed themself with what followed. Speaking about bands ive met like AC/DC and not having their music, i dont have any of the albums of Free, Lemmy, Juicy Lucy or Phil Lynott even though i supplied them with hash back in '72. Having said that i must go onto ebay for the Black Rose album with Gary Moore. I dont watch television but i listen to music every night. The neighbour who live above me sometimes i hear him coming down the stairs to listen outside my door for a while to hear a favourite album. Not wanting to embarrass him, i have mentioned that he can borrow any of my albums for a while as long as he treats them preciously. As yet he hasnt taken me up on the offer and i get the pleasure to know that he is enjoying the sound emiting out from under my door. Ive invited him in a number of times but he told me he likes listening to music alone. I understand that. Maybe you can do a video of your relationship with the music you listen to.
Great choices mate. Magical Mystery Tour is my favourite Beatles album too.
Roxy Music, Saint Etienne and probs would agree on ACDC .
I dont think Queen or AC DC ever did a terrible album. Most bands and solos do some things better than others.
Hot space is hot shite
