I got my electric lift/recliner from Amazon 2 years ago...I didn't need (and never used that feature for over 2 years), but I figured I wasn't going to get any younger and I might need it someday. 2 years later, my hip got bad and I began to need it...then the hip replacement and I am so glad I got that, because it was a Godsend! I never would've been able to sit down in it (too low) or get out of it without that feature. I'm glad you got one for George...it does make life easier!!!

Make sure to ask about your senior discounts. A lot of places have them , I didn't even know until recently. 50 and over or 55 and over. You can save between 10 and 15 percent on your food. I haven't been to Subway in over a year. I'm curious about that "No carb" bread I think they call it Hero bread they claim to have there at Subway, I wonder if it's good? Glad George likes his chair, Yeah instructions are really crappy with everything now and you have to figure it out mainly for yourself. My mom really liked her lift chair, but it didn't have the heat and all of that.

@pennystwocents , That's awesome for the past 20 yrs penny I helped take care of my father that passed away Jan 30 2024 I promised my mom that before she passed away in 2005 I would be right there for dad he lived to be 83 which was a good long life . Im a hospice nurse I retired in 2006 after mom passed away. I was so blessed to take care of both of my parents I wouldn't have had it any other way make as many memories as you can I started video's of rides to dads and fun things we did before his health got to where we couldn't do those little road trips. The $5 footlong ended 10 years ago. It was around the same time as the Jared Fogle controversy. The Subway restaurant he was famous for eating at shut down. The company seems to have gone downhill ever since.

My easy go to for lunch is a Banquet Pot Pie for $1.00. 5 minutes in the microwave. Now I'm glad that I have held off using my Gift Card for a Free Subway Sub I've carried around for years if they cost that much now. I love lift chairs. They are wonderful whether you need them or not. Total comfort & great for sleeping. Even better when you don't feel good . When your 5 ft regular recliners are not ideal or comfortable & difficult to get up & out of.I would love to have a lift chair or my own. It really spoils you if you've ever been in one. I saw a photo on Facebook of someone's Firehouse Salad.Have you ever tried them? It looked good & I see they have 3 selections.

Hi Penny & George! Those Sandwiches looked yummy ! Our Subways are just not good anymore. We haven’t been in a long while. I completely know what you mean about being busy & tired and not feeling the food in the house ! That was me yesterday! My local grocery store had an 8 piece fried chicken for $4.99 . So we had fried chicken for dinner last night ! Okay , George your new chair does look like the Cats meow! And Penny, the relationship you have with your dad is beautiful! You just get each other! The $5 footlong ended 10 years ago. It was around the same time as the Jared Fogle controversy. The Subway restaurant he was famous for eating at shut down. The company seems to have gone downhill ever since.

My easy go to for lunch is a Banquet Pot Pie for $1.00. 5 minutes in the microwave. Now I'm glad that I have held off using my Gift Card for a Free Subway Sub I've carried around for years if they cost that much now. I love lift chairs. They are wonderful whether you need them or not. Total comfort & great for sleeping. Even better when you don't feel good . When your 5 ft regular recliners are not ideal or comfortable & difficult to get up & out of.I would love to have a lift chair or my own. It really spoils you if you've ever been in one. I saw a photo on Facebook of someone's Firehouse Salad.Have you ever tried them? It looked good & I see they have 3 selections.
