Dave Cormack: My Journey with Dyslexia

- As part of our Adult Dyslexia webinar series, DAI were delighted to welcome Dave Cormack, lecturer in Business and Programme Director of the BA (Hons) in Business Management at the National College of Ireland (NCI).
Dave has an MBA from the Open University Business School and is a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management as well as a long-standing member of the Marketing Institute in Ireland. Prior to taking up his position in NCI, Dave spent a very successful thirty years in tech, holding senior positions at both the EMC Corporation and Telecom Éireann.
During this one hour webinar, Dave explores his journey through primary and secondary school as an unidentified dyslexic; the power of words; and the importance of building resilience. He also discusses his “light bulb moment”: discovering his love for computer code and how this was the catalyst for a thriving career in tech and academia.
The webinar will be of particular interest to adults with dyslexia and third-level staff.
