Dons announcer that came with this canto has some funny lines which reveals that now that her bloodfiend instincts are back she also has regained her revulsion to water, meaning it was very lucky that she didnt wake up during canto 5 and that fear of water will probably become a re-occuring trait in the future.
Yeah, the implication is that with the first Don Quixote's death, Rocinante's ability to suppress Sancho's nature as a Bloodfiend has weakened significantly. I imagine they'll probably elaborate on that in the upcoming Intravello.

It was the waters of oblivion that suppressed her blood fiend urges. The shoes suppressed her abilities and hid her red eyes. So rocinante still works it's just lethe is no longer suppressing her other bloodfiend urges such as her fear of water.

Same hairstyle, same hair color, and most notably (and this got people losing their shit in part 2 when people saw Sinclair carrying it) that same cloth-wrapped odachi with the golden string and ring hanging from it. I feel we'll be seeing plenty more of Bari. She's clearly rather significant, to play a role in the affairs of a Bloodfiend family of P Corp. 200 years ago, continue to aid its wayward daughter 200 years later, and be the only one capable of slaying "The Pale Librarian of Death" in Angela's bad timeline. She even references Canto V and VI in two of her stories in an on the nose way that feels like it simply CAN'T be a conincidence. Demian's been teasing us with making us question the greater "setting" of the Project Moon universe, of Stars and the world beyond. Bari feels like she may one day be our guide to the world.
The only thing that I'm stumped about is how in all of hells did she survive for 200 years. Is it the river that Hong Lu's sister was looking for? anti aging tech? or she's abnormal like Damian's crew is? I hope we'll get some answers

Open doors to wherever, I think it's evident that Bari's probably not a normal person. She's definitely not a distortion, but she seems to have some kind of powers unrelated to the Light of L Corp. I imagine she may be a kind of walking Singularity, similar to Argalia and Angelica, or Iori. Albeit with less unethical human experimentation.
I think you missed Faust's yapping. Rocinante suppresses all bloodfiend characteristics EXCEPT the blood craving. The thing that makes Don not crave blood is her pursuit of her dream. Remember, blood is akin to emotions for a bloodfiend. It's something that gives them happiness. Not something they need to actually survive. Being delusional like Don was is actually a plus for bloodfiends. She subsisted on her dreams of adventure for who knows how many years confined in a single building.

I wasn't sure how well the 'No Cavernous Wailing/Yurodivye Hong Lu' tremor team was going to do against all the sloth-resistant enemies in the dungeon, but you certainly pulled it off! Well done!
Difficulty in this game often depends on how good of a team you have, and I don't think PM will ever change that fact due to the nature of gacha. And in the game where getting stuff is also easy, you can easily get through most content (compared to Ruina) just by having a good team, which you already should have by canto 5. What I'm saying is, your choice to do gimmick teams without much setup is a good one, since that way the combat is more fun.

The Bari/Don Quixote fight and it's leadup (honestly the entire story cutscene) is one of my favorite moments in any PM game so far. So good. I adore both of them so much :')
Holy fuck you were not kidding when you said you would like to finish Canto 7 before the end of the year lmao GALLOP ON TOGETHER 😭😭 the symbolism of the big ass white moon in the background of the fuel after DQ mentioned Bari not being there This canto ripped me to shreds. There's parts I think were a bit weak like the side character Fixers, but the tragedy of the Bloodfiends, Don Quixote being a genuinely tragic villain as well as him being the father figure of one of our Sinners is painful but also really good This Canto was just Don's VA flexing her voice acting skills at us
This is in no way a brag, but after a couple failed attempts i tried the final boss fight with Cinq Don solo, thinking "she has good clash values and an evade, let's see how it goes..." And dear Lord it is so horribly one-sided. Having access to a solid evade skill, as well as ridiculous clash values very much trivializes the entire fight and boils it down to using the evade on correct skills to dodge unbreakable coins. It's ridiculous. Thanks for the long-form video, helped kill time during my early morning shift on the first, nice start to the year so far.
Seven hours of Limbus greeting me is quite fun, hehe. Canto 7 is... my personal favourite Canto, just narrowly surpassing Canto 6 for me. It's a story of unrestrained hope, of people chasing after far-off dreams, of challenging the cruel and uncaring world by staying true to that hope. That, after a good handful of years where I was simply pessimistic and hopeless, has been perhaps one of the most touching stories I've had the luxury of bearing witness to. Also, I feel it bears mentioning, good job on La Manchaland's Don Quixote. He is an infamously difficult fight in normal encounters, and while trivialized in a solo, is supremely tough when you tackle it normally. No nerfs were levied after the release of the Canto either, so hold your head high, because you beat this quite nicely. Nice work, Manager Esquire. Happy new year, I hope your liver survived the... unholy amount of alcohol you consumed.

It took me a few days to get through both videos, but I was for sure watching the first part as 2025 hit. As someone who normally prefers longer videos, seeing these two was such a treat but also completely understandable that sitting around playing Limbus and recording for long stretches of a time can be taxing. 46:40 One thing I will say about the 3 days of fighting situation. In PM people will say 'Oh this person can bend the floor of an oil platform made of steel in a single swing, they've got to be really powerful' but I frankly disagree with many of those notions. A lot of the city's technology has been to make people more durable, harder to kill, take K Corp for example. With any arms race weapons will be made to counter the protective measures of the time; however, the head keeps these measures in check almost nonsensically. We see more than once people being run through on a pike taking days to bleed out, people bloodied from head to toe still able to stand and fight. The city's tech almost seems to want to elongate suffering as much as it can, so fighting for three days straight? Sounds like light work, most weapons from our world's dark ages were made to be used for battles that could take hours. This is why people like the Red Mist were the exception they could end fights in an instant despite the circumstances. I could get into how this is showcased in gameplay in certain ways as well, but this comment is already a paragraph for a technically 7-hour video.
Oh but one other thing, the oh you've never had a reason to exist have you? line, yeah bloodfiends are technically a form of abno, and while not all abnos have a reason to exist, they all have a will to presist but that's nothing earth-shattering that hasn't be conceived of before
"I should not have done this. It's been 5 hours already! This was a mistake!" (Hasn't even started the final fight) You poor soul. I did Canto 7 Part 3 on release at 8PM, and it took me until roughly 1-2AM to beat it, maybe pushing 3AM. That final fight alone took 2-3 of those hours. I was so dead to the world when I had to go to work that morning. I echo your sentiment; I should not have done this, this was a mistake. When I played Canto 7, my team composition idea was that I would use Fixer ID's, focusing on Cinq. That left me with a few Sevens, two Liu, a few Zwei, and I think MultiCrack Heath. Then the idea was that we would get Bloodfiend Identities which I would swap into once we got to Don Quixote awakening as one. But we only got the Barber ID by that point, so I only had one Bloodfiend. It felt fitting using Fixers in Don's Canto. I'd like to give a shoutout to Zwei Gregor. Zwei Gregor might have become one of my personal top ID's because of how he absolutely refused to buckle in that final fight and did a beautiful job being our shield. Clashing, tanking hits, he did phenomenally. He carried that fight hard, alongside Don's Fluid Sack sapping 20 Sanity On Hit. We just barely pulled through, and I credit those two for winning us the fight. Edit: Oh yeah, and Hero's pretty good. At least I really liked it. I will never tire of the "Excitement that I feel, excitement that I feel, return them to the shelf cause now I understand, heroes cannot be real, heroes cannot be real" part. It helped hammer in the moment for me. And it made using a bunch of Fixer ID's feel even more satisfying and relevant.

Congrats on finishing canto 7! honest to say an hour long limbus video never felt enough for me so these lengthy videos is like a new year treat, thank you! For the last fight I used rupture team then got completely obliterated (probably because the fight was around 1 AM, already tired from mid-boss fights or maybe just bad at reading) I then switch the team so I could cheesed him with cinq don solo. it makes the fight much easier but the victory never feel victorious. watching your fights makes me want to challenge the dungeon for real this time. huh weird interaction at 2:03:08 Heathcliff dieing of bleed middle of clash stopped the big AOE attack from going off... interesting that happened even though the other targets are still alive, could be a neat strategy to use if anyone does the dungeon again and has someone doomed to die to bleed

Hello foreman! I also had trouble with the last fight. All my sinners got staggered and couldn't heal, so they all slowly died off; leaving Dancho as the last remaining. However, the only reason that I managed to beat it still was because of Aoe Ego skills, FluidSack and Carmilla. Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to deal with the horseys at the last phase. So, that's why I asked you to get Carmilla (Don's BP Ego). Anyways, good sht and happy new year foreman!
I do suggest you to check out the bloodfiend ID storylines, specially Sancho’s, and I mean a different Sancho, don’t want to classify the difference because I do not want to spoil that ID back story. But I genuinely believe that the 4 ID’s combined has a better story than canto II, personal subjective preference, I believe you get the point though.
I think you've missed the point. Bari sent Sancho letters the entire time Sancho has been locked in the lighthouse. And Sancho sat there for 200 years. No human can live that long. Bari is no Fixer. You'll find no mention of her name in Hana Association archives.

We know very little of Bari- and I think the more plausible explanation for her living 200 years is that she herself said she was gonna be passing through the ruins where Sancho was staying quite often, looking for something else in the area. Something like, for example, the river that grants immortality, the one Hong Lu's family is also searching for. Implying Bari is not a human and saying she isn't even fixer is a theory with little backing from what I've seen, so i completely disagree Foreman's somehow "missed the point".

@ uh since when did the Head dislike immortality? To my recollection that has never been stated, which makes sense since the head would then have beef with literally every Bloodfiend in the city, which we know is not the case. The Head has been stated to target non humans and clones, and they dislike certain ways of killing, but to my knowledge they have no qualms with immortality.
Thinking on it now, you may be thinking of when it’s stated, while discussing Dante’s abilities, that the Head is against the idea of turning back time and reviving people? Again, that’s entirely different from eternal youth, but I can imagine someone mistakenly conflating the two

It's interesting to see the strategic difference with how I do the Bloodfiend Trio fight vs you. I just focus down the Barber because the other two really don't do damage for a long time, and then Dulcinea because the Priest on his own has zero threat. Based on what we've seen of Outis, she probably fought in the Smoke War same as Gregor, but as a leader. Also fittingly, or perhaps ironically, the easiest way to do the final fight is to make it a duel between Sancho and Don Quixote.
Really makes me wonder how the tier list is gonna work with this. Don's arc is great, but we don't really see how she is going to behave going forward, how much she is going to commit to the act now that she can clearly comprehend the grays of the City. And for this Canto we have Don as we knew her's functional death, since even if she's regained her optimism there's still so much more baggage that old Don didn't have due to amnesia.
Aww, the final fight would've been more easier if you can use T. Corp Don in the dungeon. The lack of tremor chain made the dungeon fights harder and it resulted in you using a lot of ego resources therefore making the final fight harder. Still, you made it and even gave us this amazing gift.
Man the real don quixote is so broken OP i wouldn't be surprised he surpasses even the red mist, he could maybe even be impuritas civitatis power level when fully nourished since he managed to turn the scales of a losing battle by himself (and his family too I guess) and that battle had like 20 first kindreds involved minimum

@@Reynnan123 I feel like people forget that Impurity isn't a power tier, it's a status. The strongest beings in the city that aren't directly tied to The Head are Stars of the City and Color Fixers. Impurities are entities that in some way defy The Head's ideals and are slated for erasure. Some examples being the Seed of Light Project in the Outskirts, Angela (not the Library, Angela herself) for being an AI, so on. If you break The Head's rules in a way that's of note, you become an impurity and The Head will send its best subordinates at you to ensure you remember what the rules are for the remaining time you have.

In addition to that we know that Kali's "limit" was an Arbiter and a couple of Claws, and I very much doubt that PM-Verse does not have a single entity that is stronger than just that. Lastly, like Roland said during his conversation with Angela before or after Star of the City Argalia fight, there are multiple way to measure "power" as a concept, so the fact that the Red Mist can smack things with her sword the hardest once again does not make her the most powerful fighter in the City.
Canto 7 was kinda funny for me difficulty wise, I had a decent difficulty spike with Dulcinea, but it was still first try, then everything was easy. Until Dad Quixote which I even grinded before attempting for the first time, in the end managed to beat him by doing a WARP Don solo, which is way easier than it sounds
I remember that the way i beat don was with a duo, sancho with an id that had a dodge and any other character that also had a dodge, this way i get the effects of immortal don and i cant get impaled, it was still tough as nails though
having won that final fight, with a charge team, with only 2 sinners surviving, i can confidently say, yeah the fight is sooo easy jokes aside you did very well in the fight, as seen with my comment, it could have gone worse
Being honest, I prefer Canto 6, since it feels interesting all throughout, while canto 7 has a good start, abit weak of a mid section, and a REALLY strong finale, I'd even argue the finale is stronger than canto 6. However, I do hope they don't repeat the sappiness of convincing don quixote by the end too many times, otherwise it would lose impact.
Now that its all over the trick to cheesing this kind of unbreakable coin abuse is that while you cant break them you can DODGE them and they won't do anything. Its why W don solo is the easiest way to do that fight

This canto ripped me to shreds. There's parts I think were a bit weak like the side character Fixers, but the tragedy of the Bloodfiends, Don Quixote being a genuinely tragic villain as well as him being the father figure of one of our Sinners is painful but also really good

This is in no way a brag, but after a couple failed attempts i tried the final boss fight with Cinq Don solo, thinking "she has good clash values and an evade, let's see how it goes..."
And dear Lord it is so horribly one-sided. Having access to a solid evade skill, as well as ridiculous clash values very much trivializes the entire fight and boils it down to using the evade on correct skills to dodge unbreakable coins. It's ridiculous.

Canto 7 is... my personal favourite Canto, just narrowly surpassing Canto 6 for me. It's a story of unrestrained hope, of people chasing after far-off dreams, of challenging the cruel and uncaring world by staying true to that hope. That, after a good handful of years where I was simply pessimistic and hopeless, has been perhaps one of the most touching stories I've had the luxury of bearing witness to.
Also, I feel it bears mentioning, good job on La Manchaland's Don Quixote. He is an infamously difficult fight in normal encounters, and while trivialized in a solo, is supremely tough when you tackle it normally. No nerfs were levied after the release of the Canto either, so hold your head high, because you beat this quite nicely.

It took me a few days to get through both videos, but I was for sure watching the first part as 2025 hit. As someone who normally prefers longer videos, seeing these two was such a treat but also completely understandable that sitting around playing Limbus and recording for long stretches of a time can be taxing. So thank you again for this!
46:40 One thing I will say about the 3 days of fighting situation. In PM people will say 'Oh this person can bend the floor of an oil platform made of steel in a single swing, they've got to be really powerful' but I frankly disagree with many of those notions. A lot of the city's technology has been to make people more durable, harder to kill, take K Corp for example. With any arms race weapons will be made to counter the protective measures of the time; however, the head keeps these measures in check almost nonsensically. We see more than once people being run through on a pike taking days to bleed out, people bloodied from head to toe still able to stand and fight. The city's tech almost seems to want to elongate suffering as much as it can, so fighting for three days straight? Sounds like light work, most weapons from our world's dark ages were made to be used for battles that could take hours. This is why people like the Red Mist were the exception they could end fights in an instant despite the circumstances. I could get into how this is showcased in gameplay in certain ways as well, but this comment is already a paragraph for a technically 7-hour video.
Oh but one other thing, the oh you've never had a reason to exist have you? line, yeah bloodfiends are technically a form of abno, and while not all abnos have a reason to exist, they all have a will to presist but that's nothing earth-shattering that hasn't be conceived of before

You poor soul. I did Canto 7 Part 3 on release at 8PM, and it took me until roughly 1-2AM to beat it, maybe pushing 3AM. That final fight alone took 2-3 of those hours. I was so dead to the world when I had to go to work that morning. I echo your sentiment; I should not have done this, this was a mistake.
When I played Canto 7, my team composition idea was that I would use Fixer ID's, focusing on Cinq. That left me with a few Sevens, two Liu, a few Zwei, and I think MultiCrack Heath. Then the idea was that we would get Bloodfiend Identities which I would swap into once we got to Don Quixote awakening as one. But we only got the Barber ID by that point, so I only had one Bloodfiend. It felt fitting using Fixers in Don's Canto.
I'd like to give a shoutout to Zwei Gregor. Zwei Gregor might have become one of my personal top ID's because of how he absolutely refused to buckle in that final fight and did a beautiful job being our shield. Clashing, tanking hits, he did phenomenally. He carried that fight hard, alongside Don's Fluid Sack sapping 20 Sanity On Hit. We just barely pulled through, and I credit those two for winning us the fight.

Oh yeah, and Hero's pretty good. At least I really liked it. I will never tire of the "Excitement that I feel, excitement that I feel, return them to the shelf cause now I understand, heroes cannot be real, heroes cannot be real" part. It helped hammer in the moment for me. And it made using a bunch of Fixer ID's feel even more satisfying and relevant.

For the last fight I used rupture team then got completely obliterated (probably because the fight was around 1 AM, already tired from mid-boss fights or maybe just bad at reading) I then switch the team so I could cheesed him with cinq don solo. it makes the fight much easier but the victory never feel victorious. watching your fights makes me want to challenge the dungeon for real this time. huh weird interaction at 2:03:08 Heathcliff dieing of bleed middle of clash stopped the big AOE attack from going off... interesting that happened even though the other targets are still alive, could be a neat strategy to use if anyone does the dungeon again and has someone doomed to die to bleed

This is the best way I can imagine spending my New Year's Eve. this story inspired me to Chase my own impossible dream to try and achieve perfect discipline with all I have no matter how impossible that Goal seems. Are you going to keep the scene of the final clash between sancho and her father at the top of my watch later section so i always remember my goal. Hello foreman! I also had trouble with the last fight. All my sinners got staggered and couldn't heal, so they all slowly died off; leaving Dancho as the last remaining.
However, the only reason that I managed to beat it still was because of Aoe Ego skills, FluidSack and Carmilla. Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to deal with the horseys at the last phase. So, that's why I asked you to get Carmilla (Don's BP Ego). Anyways, good sht and happy new year foreman!

Bari, Don Quixote and Sancho are such cool characters. It was definitely a fun canto.

I do suggest you to check out the bloodfiend ID storylines, specially Sancho’s, and I mean a different Sancho, don’t want to classify the difference because I do not want to spoil that ID back story. But I genuinely believe that the 4 ID’s combined has a better story than canto II, personal subjective preference, I believe you get the point though.
I think you've missed the point. Bari sent Sancho letters the entire time Sancho has been locked in the lighthouse. And Sancho sat there for 200 years. No human can live that long.
Bari is no Fixer. You'll find no mention of her name in Hana Association archives.
Saying he missed the point and then giving a explanation that's complete conjecture is rich. We know very little of Bari- and I think the more plausible explanation for her living 200 years is that she herself said she was gonna be passing through the ruins where Sancho was staying quite often, looking for something else in the area. Something like, for example, the river that grants immortality, the one Hong Lu's family is also searching for.
Implying Bari is not a human and saying she isn't even fixer is a theory with little backing from what I've seen, so i completely disagree Foreman's somehow "missed the point".
@@grapesonvines4407 Giving the Head's scorn towards the idea of true immortality, Hana would've eventually caught and interrogated the eternally-young Bari about her abnormal aging, and then the river of immortality wouldn't be as big of a secret as it is now. Which proves Hana has no idea that there *is* a person (who calls herself a Fixer) to interrogate.
@ uh since when did the Head dislike immortality? To my recollection that has never been stated, which makes sense since the head would then have beef with literally every Bloodfiend in the city, which we know is not the case. The Head has been stated to target non humans and clones, and they dislike certain ways of killing, but to my knowledge they have no qualms with immortality.
Thinking on it now, you may be thinking of when it’s stated, while discussing Dante’s abilities, that the Head is against the idea of turning back time and reviving people? Again, that’s entirely different from eternal youth, but I can imagine someone mistakenly conflating the two

It's interesting to see the strategic difference with how I do the Bloodfiend Trio fight vs you. I just focus down the Barber because the other two really don't do damage for a long time, and then Dulcinea because the Priest on his own has zero threat.
Based on what we've seen of Outis, she probably fought in the Smoke War same as Gregor, but as a leader.
Also fittingly, or perhaps ironically, the easiest way to do the final fight is to make it a duel between Sancho and Don Quixote.
Really makes me wonder how the tier list is gonna work with this. Don's arc is great, but we don't really see how she is going to behave going forward, how much she is going to commit to the act now that she can clearly comprehend the grays of the City. And for this Canto we have Don as we knew her's functional death, since even if she's regained her optimism there's still so much more baggage that old Don didn't have due to amnesia.

Aww, the final fight would've been more easier if you can use T. Corp Don in the dungeon. The lack of tremor chain made the dungeon fights harder and it resulted in you using a lot of ego resources therefore making the final fight harder. Still, you made it and even gave us this amazing gift.

@@Reynnan123 I feel like people forget that Impurity isn't a power tier, it's a status. The strongest beings in the city that aren't directly tied to The Head are Stars of the City and Color Fixers. Impurities are entities that in some way defy The Head's ideals and are slated for erasure. Some examples being the Seed of Light Project in the Outskirts, Angela (not the Library, Angela herself) for being an AI, so on. If you break The Head's rules in a way that's of note, you become an impurity and The Head will send its best subordinates at you to ensure you remember what the rules are for the remaining time you have.

Okay, but "the strongest" in that case is not some objective measure of her power level - it's just one of her non-official titles, and something that Kali was generally known for, which is what that passive is referring to. But a bunch of random dudes believing the Red Mist to be "the strongest" does not actually make it true, especially concidering that literally *no one* in the City (except maybe the Head) has enough information to accurately make such a statement. In addition to that we know that Kali's "limit" was an Arbiter and a couple of Claws, and I very much doubt that PM-Verse does not have a single entity that is stronger than just that. Lastly, like Roland said during his conversation with Angela before or after Star of the City Argalia fight, there are multiple way to measure "power" as a concept, so the fact that the Red Mist can smack things with her sword the hardest once again does not make her the most powerful fighter in the City.
Don Quixote kicked my ass to the point were I had to cheese him to get by him, good job foreman, Canto 7 was awesome!

Canto 7 was kinda funny for me difficulty wise, I had a decent difficulty spike with Dulcinea, but it was still first try, then everything was easy. Until Dad Quixote which I even grinded before attempting for the first time, in the end managed to beat him by doing a WARP Don solo, which is way easier than it sounds

I remember that the way i beat don was with a duo, sancho with an id that had a dodge and any other character that also had a dodge, this way i get the effects of immortal don and i cant get impaled, it was still tough as nails though

Being honest, I prefer Canto 6, since it feels interesting all throughout, while canto 7 has a good start, abit weak of a mid section, and a REALLY strong finale, I'd even argue the finale is stronger than canto 6.
However, I do hope they don't repeat the sappiness of convincing don quixote by the end too many times, otherwise it would lose impact.
