  • Unlike many installations of escalators, the escalators at Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport, Liberia, Costa Rica are not installed in up and down pairs, because the movement of people through the terminal is more conducive to one-way traffic. This is the escalator that takes passengers from the security screening area up to the departures terminal.
I was especially happy to see newer escalators by Otis as this seems to be increasingly rare in the United States. I have to say this was one of the easiest airports to fly into. My bag was ready the second I got off the plane and security, immigration, and customs were a breeze. Plus unlike the idiotic policies espoused by the TSA, I was allowed to bring a Pepsi with me into the terminal.
