- Keith Habersberger is a legend when it comes to eating on the Internet. You've seen Keith stuff himself silly on his series Eat The Menu, but for the first time ever the Try Guys' resident taste-tester is teaming up with his friend Mike Chen to sample all of the classic ice cream truck treats he can get his hands on. From childhood favorites like Bomb Pops and Choco Tacos, to demonic-looking Powerpuff Girls and googly-eyed Sonic the Hedgehogs, Keith and Mike are embarking on a delicious, frozen journey down memory lane.

What is your Mount Rushmore of ice cream truck treats?
Honestly, I still miss the hand-dipped ice cream bars they had at the Costco snack bar years ago. Rich, full-fat ice cream surrounded by a chocolate shell roughly as thick as a roofing shingle. They were the best. Next to that, ice cream truck treats are kind of passe.

@@dewarfV Well look at it this way - in WWII when the US had to build a bunch of destroyers for themselves and the Royal Navy, they also installed ice cream machines on each one. The British took them out.

Luna R. Many fancy cheeses-particularly hard ones-are low/lower in lactose than a comparable amount of milk.

Fun fact: The strawberry shortcake bar at 5:40 is called a Golden Gaytime in New Zealand and Australia. Just the best ice cream.
We used to get the spongebob bar with the gumball eyes. They were so cold that they stayed like rocks.
My Dad said he was going out to go pick up cigarettes and ice cream for us in July of 2002. He hasn't come back home yet and still waiting. Classic Dad 😂🤣

Those were never options when I was a kid....in the 70’s. I loved the buried treasure which was a raspberry sherbet push-up pop. We did get what we called skater crunch bars when i was in high schools (the chocolate or strawberry crumb coated ice creams) and nutty buddies. But they weren’t on Skippy Trucks in my area

Coming from the UK, I'm surprised by the lack of flavour variety in those ice creams, they were mostly just vanilla or chocolate apart from the novelties which looked terrible.
In the UK you'd expect more fruit flavoured items to be on the board like -
Mivvis - vanilla ice cream with a fruit ice shell,
Twisters - strawberry ice core, wrapped in lime ice, and pineapple ice cream spirals,
Nobbly Bobbly - Chocolate ice cream, surrounded by strawberry ice cream, dipped in chocolate and hundreds 'n' thousands,
Calippo - citrus ice in a paper cone.
and now I want an ice lolly, but don't have any.
Because ice cream trucks are for kids.
Now paletas have a wide range of flavors. What you get in a store has more choices.

I was blown away to see an icecream truck serving soft serve icecream! I haven't seen that since I was maybe 10 years old! The trucks here in Dallas all just serve the pre-made treats and they really aren't the same.
