Absolutely agree, his videos are sadly formulaic these days and you can tell from the decreasing view count. He made a huge mistake by becoming a "full time RUclipsr" after college, because the truth is that there isn't enough interesting substance in that lifestyle to make quality, engaging content. He should get a fun job at a start-up that would give him purpose and actual content to film, I'm sure there's plenty of NYC start-ups that would be interested.

Smh this is getting disappointing... Was a huge fan of Elliot, especially from the Vandy vlog days and, tbh, the NYC vids were fire in the beginning too! Lately, though it just feels like RUclips's the piggy bank he comes back once in a while to collect from. Especially annoying since, looking at the others of his RUclips squad like jedcal and Kelly Wakasa are keeping up with regular posts.
You guys realize that he literally made a video about how he got rich off the backs of his subscribers (who he doesn't even post for anymore) and you all ate it up, calling it inspirational?? He posts monthly now, and if you're still subscribed you are literally just paying for this kid to do nothing in NYC and waste money. The purpose of the comment was to give him genuine feedback, which I think is reasonable given that he's a nearly 1 million subscriber channel. I was a long time subscriber, but stopped after his videos (in my opinion) became formulaic and uninteresting. Personally, after subscribing and buying his first round of merch, I feel that it's reasonable to give feedback on the direction of the channel and his promises to viewers. Whether or not he takes the feedback is his choice!

This man inspires me so much ,i have been a subscriber from the beginning i have seen him grow. What i learned from him is that rather than day dreaming we should work for our dreams . The efforts he puts in his every videos is seen. I am 20.
Smh this is getting disappointing... Was a huge fan of Elliot, especially from the Vandy vlog days and, tbh, the NYC vids were fire in the beginning too! Lately, though it just feels like RUclips's the piggy bank he comes back once in a while to collect from. Especially annoying since, looking at the others of his RUclips squad like jedcal and Kelly Wakasa are keeping up with regular posts.

You guys realize that he literally made a video about how he got rich off the backs of his subscribers (who he doesn't even post for anymore) and you all ate it up, calling it inspirational??
He posts monthly now, and if you're still subscribed you are literally just paying for this kid to do nothing in NYC and waste money.
To Elliot, you should seriously be disappointed for saying you're going to post daily and then regularly disappearing for weeks at a time. If you want to be a full-time RUclipsr, expect to be held accountable. If you want to mess around and disappear, then get a real job and do RUclips as a hobby (which for the record, would probably yield infinitely more interesting content).
I'm a little disappointed too, but it doesn't mean I have the right to tell Elliot what to do. It's his own life. Go get one. In case you forgot, he's not your slave. Your entitlement makes me fucking sick. No one's stopping you from unsubscribing or leaving. Do everyone a favor and keep your toxic hate and attitude to yourself.

The purpose of the comment was to give him genuine feedback, which I think is reasonable given that he's a nearly 1 million subscriber channel. I was a long time subscriber, but stopped after his videos (in my opinion) became formulaic and uninteresting. Personally, after subscribing and buying his first round of merch, I feel that it's reasonable to give feedback on the direction of the channel and his promises to viewers. Whether or not he takes the feedback is his choice!

Crazy how creators like dooby dobap who literally just started making vlogs and isn't even an NYC native can make better, more interesting, and more promising content than Elliot, someone who's been making vlogs for 2+ years. Being able to see Elliot grow firsthand from like 100k when I first saw his videos to now being at almost a million in such a somewhat quick time is incredibly inspiring. Knowing not only how much work and effort he put into his videos but also the emotional component that’s able to captivate and evoke a feeling to just continue on in life no matter what gets in your way or how much you think you’re down in life is unmatched. You can tell how genuine he is especially through his relationships with his friends. Appreciate the content man. One day I’ll be the there.
