Thank you to all the volunteers who worked so hard to rescue these innocent victims. And please, don't let them be adopted by families whose kids "want" a pup for Xmas, only to abandon it when the novelty wears off. These are living and breathing animals and deserve a fantastic future. ❤ From the UK.
Thank you for the reporting, a horrific situation. PLEASE let people know that all rescue dogs will be spayed or neutered to start making a dent in these abandoned populations. Again thank you FOX 9 for this reporting, keep it going.
I cried in sorrow thinking of their horrid lives and I cried gratitude & thankfulness for the volunteers who give it their all to save lives and bring joy to their lives. And thank YOU for bringing it to our attention. Writing from a sunny but cold South Carolina sea island.
Thank you so much for all the work you do for all the animals that you rescue take care of thanks forever homes for. You all are greatly appreciated for the work you do
I live in North Dakota and know our own shelters are overflowing with these dogs. Unfortunately they mostly come from the reservations. One of my own dogs was rescued from this same situation. I so appreciate these people for coming in and helping. We have the same issue with cats. I allow the stray cats in my neighborhood access to my garage which has a heater and give them food and water. The nationwide issue of homeless animals is out of control. We all need to do our part. Here in North Dakota with our winters they will die a horrible death without help.
So true, it is bad everywhere. Here they have the cold to deal with and there it is the opposite. Having the added issue of idiots thinking so called exotics are a good idea seems less than helpful. Forcing people to take responsibility is pretty frustrating.
@@patriciajones7869 I live in North Dakota too. I made a longer comment you may be interested in. The best thing to do is if you can contribute to our local shelters they need help. If your son can foster a dog or cat that helps too. Having out of state shelters help is so appreciated. What area is your son in?
Animals have always been great.. Its the humans that have sucked (i.e, exploited, dominated, and abused, throughout history. :/) Humans are definitely at the bottom of the evolutionary chain, in my view, based on the large number with black hearts and despicable violence towards innocents. Non humans animals do NOT do this.
God bless you all at cocos Everyone out there let’s get pets fixed especially mama dogs and cats we will save billions just by that God Bless you all 🙏🏾♥️
I did fostering for the local Humane Society. I did a total of four dogs, kept the last one. I wanted to keep the very first one too. It’s hard not to keep them.
Heartbreaking to see this! Fur animals are rescued everyday and shelters are overrun with animals, many are put down due to too many of them YET still ALL fur animals have a chance at adoption and a family… Not so…for lizards…hunted and murdered inhumanely in Florida, the lucky few finding their way into a shelter where they wait likely for good until their day of death in that same shelter…no one is coming. Ever. Why are some animals destined to be “acceptable” pets while others are deemed “ unworthy” while others are deemed “disposable” and end up as dinner. Our world is very sick, cruel and discriminatory. I have lizards in my home no one wanted because many are special needs and I can attest after having lizards for 34 years…people are missing out. ALL animals matter! Spread the word! ❤🦎
We need legislation to protect pet ownership in this country. If you rent, and millions do, many landlords make it very difficult to have a dog or cat. It should be a protected right to have at least one and not be price gouged.
Ma'am. I am a landlord. Own a dozen modest but nice houses in Ottawa county Michigan. Ive always allowed pets. But from yrs of renters who DID let their dogs, cats ruin woodwork, carpets n Especially the nice Lawns I provide? I insist on a Pet Deposit. Generally approx $300. If when you move ,,no damages? By an animal,,you get your $300 back. I font thinj that's too much to adk for.
People don't talk about spay/neuter anymore, which is the only solution to the overpopulation problem. Too many unwanted pets thrown away like garbage, and it will only get worse in coming years.
I remember how mean these rescues were to potential adoptees such as myself during covid. What ever happened to news about getting your pets spayed, pets breeding is worse now then it was decades ago, but never a topic
These are your maga states. The Christians that care so much for life. Look at where I am, we have to go to these states to rescue dogs and cats. We just don’t have a homeless pet population and dogs are so hard to come by. We care about our animals, breeding, and overpopulation. We spay and neuter. We adopt an animal for the life of the animal. What happened to this country? How did we get infested with the maga cancer?
Absolutely nothing to do about being a red state. If you are such a great dog rescue person you should have the brains to know they are dealing with reservations where spaying doesn’t happen. Btw, natives vote dem. Educate yourself and drive thru a Rez and enjoy the view
Not to single out North Dakota, but why aren't they taking care of their stray dogs, spaying them, finding families, or at least picking them up themselves and sending them to places like Wisconsin. Why do Wisconsin rescues have to go in? I hope North Dakota is reimbursing them. (Yeah, right.)
Nothing Dakota pet owner here. Spay and nueter here costs up to 1000 dollars. Where I live, they only take cash up front for anything. The shelters are full, and we have to pay up front. With not even 2 million people here, there is lots of open space, so people bump them. Most states do not have -50 degree weather coming in January and February. We do. So those who can foster as adoption is crazy here. Most landlords will not accept animals of any kind, and most people rent.
@@acahill4031wow, that makes a lot of sense. I live in California and to spay or neuter a dog on average is about a hundred dollars here, though for the one dog we adopted that needed it we only paid 40. Some places here will even do it free. I don’t think I could have had my dogs spayed and neutered at $1000 a pop. That’s crazy. If we still have an issue with stray dogs here at an affordable operating price it’s sad but understandable why ND’s would be way worse. Also the weather thing makes a lot of sense too. I’m glad those dogs aren’t out there freezing to death.
If they took all those dogs, will more show up there? If so, why? This is third world activity, having so many dogs in this shape. And it's shameful. MANY thanks to the rescuers, vets, anyone involved in helping them, and the adopters! You make the world a better place.
0:43 That’s a pit bull for you! Any normal dog would have backed away from a porcupine, but these dogs go in for the ☠️ and WILL NOT STOP as evidenced by all the quills. Likely, that poor porcupine didn’t make it. Stop your fearmongering, many dogs that attack porcupines, are not vicious, it is just the prey instinct.
