@ Family winter holiday 2022. Location region of Wallis. Blatten Belalp, Switzerland.
The rustic old town made of beautiful clusters of old wooden houses will greet you cheerfully as you arrive in town. The road up to the church's cobbled street takes your step back in time. Some of the houses are overly decorated, and old meet storage houses for drying meet are also present. The architecture as you tour around the place is mixed. New buildings with old timber houses they add texture and indication that the area moves along the changing time. And the place offers lots of winter activities from skiing to just relaxing and taking a break at a wellness spa nearby.
The locals are friendly they will greet and say hello a sign of old ways a courtesy practiced the locals with one another.
Rented chalets, hotels and restaurants are available for short or longer stay.
The area is easily accessible via public transport from the main train station in Brig. Generally this is advisable, parking can become a problem specially during high season.
Gear rentals: At Ripzone one can rent skis, snowboards, all gears with no problem. Prices are good.
Lessons: You can book directly at the office behind the ticket area, but if you can book in advance it is better. They have specials normally in groups but individual lessons are also available.
