Your models are very impressive, you must be very proud.
You're great at breaking down the whole process into simple steps while still ending up with a great looking kit. Always makes me want to paint more kits, I appreciate the inspiration.
Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it!
Finally one of these things that I could actually do
I’m impressed of how easily you placed those water decals. I usually don’t mess with them because they usually end up breaking or falling off.
How long do you soak them? I usually just dip them in water for a couple of seconds then leave them to sit until they start to move off the backing sheet with a bit of pressure.
ModelChili Scale Models I dip them in warm water and try to place them almost immediately after taking them out of the water with a q-tip
I very much enjoy watching your attention to the different details and the possibilities of them, you are very skilled mate
Hope this is the 1st of many new uploads of your builds? Find them to be relaxing to watch and love seeing the final build
I hope so! Thanks.
Great to see another video from ya, keep up the cool builds
Thanks!
I love how the designs of the blasters and rifles keep to original German guns, you can always see it in the handles, barrels and stocks
Nice piece. I really need to make the space in my house and time to get started on Bandai and Kotobukiya model kits. They're awesome. Thanks for showing.
Thanks for watching!
My computer broke so I haven't seen any of your videos for quite some time, it was fun to watch them again, you always do a great job on these!
Very nicely done! The guns look amazing.
Thank you!
Ah ha! Today is a good day! I have wanted to see this kit in detail.
Hope you enjoy!
The price on these figures are going for a fare price now well worth a look .. enjoy watching the builds as always how they have sooo many parts to build is crazy for something that's just joints arms legs and a head ! Kinda puts me off abit but guess it's a bit like Lego and more fun and rewarding once you have completed it
Another great build, guess I'll have to start getting on with some of the kits I have tucked away! Would be interesting to see you do a build of the security droid K_2S0. Keep up the good work.
Thanks!
The amount of times iv cut my thumb trimming of plastic parts! Brilliant job awesome channel.
Thanks!
Always enjoy watching your vids on model making. Very relaxing. Will have to try & build my own some day, until then quite content on watching your builds. Kind regards.
Thank you. 😊
Yeah, Sam has a soothing voice...and the crackles and snaps of a Bandai kit!
Love your videos man! As usual excelent work... Also, ever since I saw Thor Ragnarok y think the man behind the camera is Korg!!!
Thanks!
Excellent video and job on the trooper and I gave you a like
Cheers!
Your videos are the best!
Awesome video man! Keep up the good work!
Thanks!
Nice build!
I like how the holster came out..
It does have a nice worn leather look. And I love the blasters!
You get them pretty authentic & metallic looking.
Good job. :)
Awesome build mate!! Feels like a long time since your last vid hope you're well bud!
Cheers!
So happy to see you again! Loved how this guy came out, he’s so big! 😱 is there a reason you chose spray cans over airbrush this go? Do you think they preform just as good?
Cheers! Tamiya sprays are generally a lot harder and tougher than Vallejo Acrylics, so I always use it for the black under armour, and for the silver I used it just because it's quick and easy.
Looks great bro!
Cheers!
Just when you think there's nothing left to do, Sam levels up the kit and weathers the guns. As always I pick up some great tips from your builds which are great to watch and chill out to.
I've got a suggestion for future builds which I hope is OK. Would be be difficult or not to the tone of your builds to include a side by side before and after comparison of some of the build stages? For example, on this build when you weathered the weapons I'd have liked to have seen them compared with before you painted them. For me, I'd prefer a split left and right screen video, each showing the parts and various angles rather than still photos.
What do you think?
So Satisfying to Watch, I Wish i Could have one Myself. And thats No Bandai Figure, Thats a Sideshow Collectibles at the End! (Well it looks like it)
Great stuff as always, masterful work making it look so straight forward 👏🏻
Any updates on the roman coliseum build (or was it a Greek mythology piece)? I can remember a vote quite a while ago which I think you were considering expanding from ships/troopers?
Thanks! No the Parthenon is still in the backlog. :(
I wish they would make a 12 inch Clone trooper kit.
You and me both. :)
I want a 12 inch Death Trooper!
I'm sure that back when the Prequel toys were new, they actually DID make 12-inch or better height "action figures" (mustn't say dolls! We're men!) of Clone Troopers.
How much those are worth, I have no idea. There's been talk online among the collectors that Prequel Trilogy toys really aren't worth much these days.
The whole Star Wars market is depressed because of Rickey Ratt.
You should do another 12" Shadow Stormtrooper and have it where the Matte black and silver parts are you should paint them a nice dark red
You won a new sub. 👍🏻
Welcome!
Love ur models I would make the guns a little darker though
I agree, i think the blaster is too light.
My 1.72 new hope falcon is coming along, lights could use help. I'm wondering if I should gloss clear coat it b4 I use water slides, then can I go back over the whole ship with like a dull clear coat to tone down that shine? Nice job on that 12inch troopers weapons cool technique. 😁
Thanks! Yeah I always apply a gloss coat before doing decals.
Great looking content. Think you did a whole lot of your very own video coding.
Not entirely sure what that means, but thanks!
While looking for references to paint the blasters on my 1/12th Stormtrooper, I discovered that the scopes they used on the E-11 blasters were actually cast out of brass on the real props for the films. This means scuffs and spots where the paint wore thin would show a brass color rather than bare steel. So I do silver dry brushing on the rest of the weapon, but I use gold on the scope... since i don't own any copper or brass colored paint.
Awesome, nice find. 🙂
I've watched a lot of your builds and they are great, from the finished product to the editing. But I have to ask you, your editing is so good everything just flows together, "What are your drying times like?" How long do you let things dry before moving to the next step? Such as your gloss coat before washing or weathering and your priming coats. Thank You in advance and a Happy New Year!
Frank M.
It depends on the product. Tamiya Clear coats from the can take only minutes to dry, depending how thick it is. For a wash, again it depends on the humidity, weather, temperature etc. Sometimes takes hours, sometimes minutes. There's no set formula, everyone has different experiences!
@@modelchili Thank You. I did sort of figure that as I was in the printing business for over 20 years. Conditions always dictated drying times. Like I stated before, your vjdeos are so well executed it looks like you two models. Thank You again.
My guess with the silver chipping is that the person or people who did it just wanted to go with a contrasting color that would show up well against the black armor.
Yeah it does look good.
Verry good valid points on over painting on non existent metal er,,,,,,,,,,,,,
I feel more like I'm watching the building of a High Grade or Perfect Grade Gundam than a Star Wars kit!
I wonder why that is?!? Hmmmm.... 🤭
One more thing it was the space balls version of the tropper lol
most of the clik fit has the same sound as breaking plastic
R u from nz ?
Great content keep it up !!!
Yes I am, thanks!
NOICE samsies
Why dont you use a flat chisel blade to cut off the spure?
Why would I do that? Not being snarky, genuine question.
Have you ever dabbled in filling the hollow body parts with putty to make the figures weigh more?
No haven't thought about it really. Would the joints hold up under the extra weight?
@@modelchili aye yes the joints would probably give way. Good point.
Is building like this easy? I'd want to try it but cutting all the parts off the runner at once I'd be scared that I would mix up or lose parts!
If you follow the instructions and only cut out the parts you need each step it's fairly straight forward. I've just built so many kits like these I usually know what goes where!
@@modelchili So basically only cut the parts for say, the arm(s), then leg(s) etc? I should try that. :)
Do it!
storm trooper armors are made of Plastiod plates, it's a plastic like material
Yeah that's what I thought.
Hey model Chile I have a? For you why doesn't Bandai put out 1/12 scale figures of Princess Leia and Obi-Wan Kenobi and Chewbacca as far as that goes just wondering hope you can find a answer for my question
If I spoke Japanese I'd ask them. But alas I do not.
Your voice sounds like the dude from Star Wars battlefront two (original) who narrates the 501st storyline
You mean Tem Morrison? :p
ModelChili Scale Models yes
What camera do you film with?
Samsung S8
I haven't built models since the 80's. Don't you need glue anymore?
Some kits you do, some you don't.
What do you do to put stickers on a figure like you did
Waterslide decals? You soak them in water then slide them on.
Do you mind telling me how it's done or linking me a video
Screw Legos we gotta get this stuff
Itroll Playz legos? I think these might be good stand ins for hot toys. Lol
SAMMAAMAMAMAMAMAMAMAMAMAMAMAMAMAMAMAMAMAMAM!

@@modelchili the hell you been?
@@EZCompanyCollectibles Life, work, travel, commissions...
No HIGH DEF pictures of this on your Facebook?
I've put up a few to a new album now, but I definitely need more angles.
I think if I get to build one of these bigger kits, my OCD require me to wear gloves to avoid those fingerprints.
cutting into your fingers!
Is your left printer finger swollen???????
Printer finger????
woah, am i really this early?
I haven't even finished adding the end cards. 😂
@@modelchili it doesn't matter, your videos are amazing anyways! :D
Why so low resolution?
Hasn't finished processing yet!
Do not trim towards your thumb with the knife as I found out to my cost.
I get way more control that way, I've not sliced myself yet!
That trooper needs to be put on report, how dare he let his weapons get rusty!
He's on assignment!
@@modelchili j/k I love watching you work. Would love to see you do some games workshop stuff, espically bigger pieces
@@snookhammer Yeah there's some 40K stuff I've love to have a go at, especially the tanks.
This model is a bit short for a storm trooper
The key is in the channel name.
Clearly everyone hasn't seen what this could have looked like if it was done properly. Painting on the sprue pretty much tells you all you need to know about the builder.
Katan Akuma what are you referring too? The only parts that were truly painted on the spru were the gun parts. The helmet didn’t matter because all the parts were external that poked through
This looks like a fun but time consuming and expensive hobby
You've gotta enjoy doing it that's for sure.
head too big tbh
they had to introduce black storm troppers because DIVERSICTY ha ha its a suit of armour...
somebody some where will copyright stike this for something oh look oh hey micky what are you doin here?
Bandi does not know star wars it is a death trooper not shadow death
