The fact that all these promoters hate Eddie and say he's not a threat means he's actually a huge threat to them. They can't just say " he's doing well over here for an Englishman". Doing worst then Golden Boy? Is he thar senile that he believes that?
Eddie is one, a natural comedian....so so funny. Secondly, he has dragged HW boxing to the forefront. Be it with the help of having AJ and many popular boxers in his camp but he`s revitalised boxing in general...across all weights. Even Warren has made a massive comeback due to the HW division being cool again.

Early on, everyone hated Eddie. Literally, every time he got in the ring, he was boo'ed, and then when interviewed, he got boo'ed too. I don't know if it was because he came across arrogant early on or what, but he's definitely won people over. Not everyone.

Say what you like about Ben D as a coach but he genuinely has his fighters best interests at heart, I’m not sure he will let this one go.
Not unless there is another check weight tomorrow morning and the weights have caught up to each other after rehydration or so
When Ben trains a fighter from scratch and gets him to a world title he will have my respect, most of his fighters have already had top level training before joining him so its hard to know how good Ben actually is.

Ive heard a few ex fighters and pundits talk about eddie being the best promoter in the game and I think if you go show for show across a year with any other promotion, matchroom does put on more shows and consistently better shows than the rest.

It must be hard as a fighter to take money off your opponent especially in a situation like this where there is the potential of them misunderstanding a rule set. I cant see Lara intentionally did this, but he may well have done similar on other UK fights and there wasnt a problem. Obviously if its 2 British fighters for example who are more than familiar with the board and one comes in way over weight, then absolutely I am all for that fighter taking a hit as the other fighter is at more risk. But if its a mistake and you then have to decide on how much you want from them, that must be difficult because you're both taking a risk in there and they still have to pay all of the fees that come with it. I know some bodies have an amount per lb over the championship weight. I've heard lots of chatter that this was intentional to screw Lara.
Fair play Eddie for saying it but we all find that podcast intro and end of video is soooooooooooooo annoying. Ray Winston cant even say "girl friend" I have to skip every beginning and end as I cannot bare to hear it. Shame really as I would have listened to the podcasts but already hate them due to constant clips of same crap every video.
