Hi Sharma, You have explained the theory very well and shown it practically, but not explained(show just photo) the difference between previous default layout and the the custom new layout. Try to focus more on practical than theory.

I have a question, how to populate fields in the compact layout, available fields ..I do not see some fields I set in page layout as per trail guide of suggestion app, but when I go to compact layout, I do not see over field not being populated. ...hint , I see this field in the label, suggestion ..what went wrong..The data type set is long text as suggested.
Hi.. 1)i am using professional edition trail and i am unable to create Apex classes and triggers through developer console.Is it possible to create apex classes and triggers in professional edition?. 2) i want to know what are the most used deployment methods among "change sets,force.com IDE and Force.com Migration Tool - ANT" in real time development projects.
Answer 1: It is not possible to do custom development using apex & visualforce in Professional Edition. Answer 2: If you talk about most used then I would say it is Change Sets but it actually depends that which tool should be used for deployment according to the situation.

I know how to assign compact layout using record type BUT..How do i assign compact layout to a profile or to a user without using record type.
