We went here for our honeymoon in August. Mykonos is pretty awesome, we loved the little town and all the shops. The island changes character when the sun sets and it becomes a big bustling night club. We rented a scooter to help us get around town too. Almost got in a few accidents but the drivers and riders are pretty good. Fun times.
@6:29 there are people sitting on a staircase, adjacent to that staircase there now lies a wonderful little to-go bar owned by Gio - he took over his father's old shop just this summer. We had such a wonderful time there every night, if anyone is reading this go to Bar & Co - Mykonos and see Gio, ask him for the sweet home! You will love it.

Oh Mykonos, brings back so many memories. Haven't been since 2008, but it looks pretty much the same. I guess that's the beauty of the Greek Islands, they don't change all that much. :D

@@tinamariefarmer4419 mykonos and santorini are tourist traps for those who want to burn money. Try Crete/Rhodes (still big tourist spots but not ridiculously expensive, and they retain the cultural identity too unlike the traps who are 99% tourists and no Greek in sight).

Considering thats a Touristy hotspot i dont find the food prices that expensive especially when in the US an ordinary Wendys salad is around $ 7 so not much difference for something clearly inferior.
mario siaven You’re also paying for the view you have while enjoying your salad, so I agree, it’s not bad at all. Renting the space for the restaurant is probably hella expensive, so they have no choice.
I found this to be true in both France and Italy, food is fresh and affordable everywhere, even in the touristy places! Clearly the focus isn't on making/saving the most money like here in the states, which is a pity. Heading to Greece in 2020!

The most People dont know and can't realize how beautiful Greece as a country in reality is! Greece is not only Santorini ,Mykonos, Paros, Kreta, Rhodos, Samos..etc! There are countless Islands to explore, and many, many Amazing hidden gems in the mainland you can visit and explore like...Canyons, Gorges, Rivers, Lakes, Mountains, Hills, Lagoons, Waterfalls, thousands of beatiful beaches and secret hidden beaches around the mainland , Forests, Natural parks, Diving Spots etc....etc .and ofcourse Amazing Hiking Trails everywhere.!!!!!!!!
Incredible there are yet a lot of people in this island at the end of september, like us in south france where i live in august near a well known village ( saint- tropez )
If you think this is crowded you should see the mid-August version of this 😂 Judging though by how the people are moving in big flocks, I'm sure some cruise ship arrived that morning. By afternoon they're gone. I know, I've worked for two seasons there 😋

I didn't even want to go to Mykonos actually. I was trying to get to Samos island but there were no direct ferries there from Santorini, so I had to change ferries at Mykonos.
Hi Gabriel, Mykonos, is a beautiful island but much like Santorini, very touristy it also seems more upscale than Santorini more trendy shops and restaurants.

Well Mykonos is called the windy island for a good reason. So you left the second most expensive of the Greek islands (Santorini) for the first most expensive, am I right? Has the cyclone reached you in Samos yet? Gusty winds are expected and thunderstorms in the Aegean for the weekend. Samos is great I've been to Carlovassy and Vathy
It started sprinkling here on Samos a little this evening. The next few days are going to be stormy. I'm headed to Patmos tomorrow. Bummer that it will be bad weather while I'm there, since it has great beaches. The weather is supposed to improve next week.

I've been there twice, this time for just a day in September and for a week in February during low season, when it wasn't very windy and was quite cool. The Greek islands in general are warm during the summer with lots of sunshine and sometimes wind. Top 5 places, really tough to narrow it down honestly, too many amazing places but I'd say Greek islands, Himalayas, Cappadocia in Turkey, Great Pyramids, Petra in Jordan.

Yes, this was in September. My videos are always posted within a few days after they were filmed. Greece or Peru, man, tough choice. You really can't go wrong. September is the ultimate time to visit Greece but also a good time for Peru, I was there in October. So it just depends on what you're more interested in, mountains or islands and beaches. Maybe check flights and decide based on where is cheaper to get to, or else flip a coin. Have a great time.

I watched all your Crete videos. So much to see there it really seems like the coolest island! Plan to see Knossos, golf, visit Elafonisi beach and get a beautiful room to do a lot of relaxing.
I'm not sure, I've never flown into Mykonos. But it should be pretty easy to find out once you arrive, usually there's an info booth at the airports and the attendant should speak English.

ALSO, I have checked the weather for mid september and it says 25 c and I wanted to ask you if youve been to santorini or mykonos in mid september (13th-20th) and if 25 c "reAl feel" in mid september is extremely hot or actually 25 c. I hate hot weather and dont plan on swimming or going to hangout at a beach, just want to eat, walk around, and eat and walk around some more. Many seasonal jobs!! Waiters chefs sales etc Very tuff work though. Everyone in mykonos works over 12 13 hours per day. As for the Salary is around 1200€ per month 7 days a week for 6 months straight. They usually provide accommodation but you live with 3 to 4 people all together in tiny places. Thats all!! Its a nice experience for 1 time. You meet great people make friends fall in love etc.

Hey Gabriel, did you make it to Samos, because as far as I know, there is a ban for ferries which is in effect since 26/09 due to strong winds.
I've been on Samos for the past week. I'm supposed to take a ferry tomorrow afternoon to Patmos. Curious to see if it will be going.

How do I catch the bus from the airport to Mykanos Town and then MT (Mykanos Town) to Ornos?

The only thing i dislike about Mykonos is the wind. They dont call it "the island of winds" for no reason. It can be very annoying.

Mum Blic No one is growing crop on the islands anymore. You make much more money by working at a tavern or selling 'keep calm Tshirts to tourists.

Many seasonal jobs!! Waiters chefs sales etc Very tuff work though. Everyone in mykonos works over 12 13 hours per day. As for the Salary is around 1200€ per month 7 days a week for 6 months straight. They usually provide accommodation but you live with 3 to 4 people all together in tiny places. Thats all!! Its a nice experience for 1 time. You meet great people make friends fall in love etc.

I spent total eur 2k for 7 days in Mykonos. And that is the cheapest you can go in tourist season.
