That low solo at the end is their baby sister, who is now the big sister, heightwise. This is what a family band should be. The two older sisters are trying to get Ale to sing more and show her personality more, instead of all the attention always going to one member. They all support and lift each other up. I mean I just heard this song and of them for the first time ever, Sorry I don't know their names, but the drummer, wow!! I'm no spring chicken, been around awhile and was graced with hearing some of what could be termed, some of the greats... and she was playing right there with them. No lie, no doubt, this trio IS going to become known and loved worldwide. I just heard they are sisters, is that true ???
Yes, they are sisters. Daniela (Dany) lead singer and guitarist; Paulina (Pau pronounced Pow) drummer, backup singer, lead singer on some songs; and Alejandra (Ale pronounced Al-eh) bassist, backup singer, lead singer on rare occasions. You are right about Pau, the drummer, but you haven't seen the half of it. You should see her beat the drums like they owe her money while singing lead. Check out the band's RUclips channel for lots of pro-shot videos of concerts and a couple of other music videos. Look for the songs "Dust to Dust" or "The End", both live at Lunario CDMX or "Narcisista" at Foro Didi to see Pau sing while drumming. By the way, all three also play keyboards.
Welcome to your new obsession ! :-) Not only are they sisters, but 2 are still in their teens. Ale is only 16 and Pau is 19. Dany is 21. They have an EP and 2 albums out and this is from their upcoming 3rd album. They are starting to set up concert dates, playing the Daytona music festival in November and the Troubadour in Los Angeles in January.
@@TimberWolf762 Ah, the Troubadour, glad to hear it's still there, used to live just off Sunset near where Tower Records is or was. The Whiskey too, and was a regular at the Rainbow. Good times !! If they get a Norcal date, I'll check them out.
I picture clearly Keith Moon and professor Neil Peart half smiling and nodding in approval down on Pau, and I stand by it.
These sisters are overwhelmingly talented and will become rock legends!!

Another masterpiece song by The Warning. Great reaction! I hope you get to react to their Queen of The Murder Scene album. An awesome concept album where they cross so many different musical styles from acoustic, punk rock, rock, heavy rock and power rock ballad. Lyrical masterpiece as well just like this song Choke. 🤘😎🤘👸👸👸👸

These Beautiful young Ladies are beyond amazing!
I can tell you who her voice reminds you. It is the voice of an entire generation of Rock bands who fans loved and waited DECADES to hear again. Bands like The Warning don't come up often.
Down the rabbit hole. The Warning has so much good stuff, and they’re still incredibly young to be such accomplished musicians. Dany (Daniela) is 21 and plays guitar and sings lead on about 75% of their songs. Pau (Paulina, aka “The Shredder”) is 19 and plays drums and sings lead on about 25% of their songs, as well as plays keyboard (they all do actually) and background vocals - another very talented singer in her own right. Ale (Alejandra) is bass and background vocals (sometimes keys also) and is only 16. She’s a fantastic bassist who is already having a line of bass guitars named after her. They all have sponsorships for their instruments from the famous makers. They began as a band very young playing “Rock Band”. Now there are songs on the game that are their originals - I know that “Survive” is one of them. You could go on and on about their accomplishments. I say that they’re on the precipice of super stardom. Go back and watch them from the beginning and you’ll be amazed.

I’m so happy that you came back to The Warning. They’re phenomenal. And their best live, IMO. Their live at Lunario concert which was the debut of their 2nd album. If you watch it, you should watch it in the order of their album as it’s a concept album that has a story arc. Love these ladies.

This is the single off the upcoming 3rd album. Their last album Queen of the Murder Scene starts out with Dust to Dust which you need to review next. The album is a "Rock Novel" (a concept album) and Dust to Dust is the intro to the album. Many reactors have done the entire album, one song at a time. Their first album is just as good XXI Century Blood. So, I highly recommend Dust to Dust live. You'll be blown away.

I'll go back and check, but I'm pretty sure I left you a comment under your last The Warning reaction explaining that their original material is where their genius lies. The Villareal sisters are amazing songwriters and performers who are truely grateful and endearing to their fans. "Choke" is the 1st single off The Warning's (not yet released) 3rd full-length LP. After turning down numerous offers from many major record labels and 7 months of negotiations, The Warning signed a 5 album recording contract with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group last fall. Their 2nd full-length LP, "Queen of the Murder Scene" (2018, 13 original songs), was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Independent Music Awards. Their 1st full-length LP, "XXI Century Blood" (2017), is also filled with 13 awesome original songs. They also released a 6 song EP, "Escape the Mind", back in 2015. All of their original songs are absolute bangers. Next is "Dust to Dust" LIVE from Lunario CDMX. It's the 1st song off their last album, QOTMS. The drummer Paulina sings lead!! They are 21, 19 and 16 years old now... so do the math.

The Warning have two albums worth of original songs between "The Pretender" cover video and now. So you've only missed one other actual video that The Warning have done. I highly recommend that one which is "XXI Century Blood" the title cut of their first full-length album. It's a great album, too. Outside of that they're are multiple recordings of live shows - where they really shine - including some professionally recorded ones. The sisters are a force. I love that you caught the power of that lyric "comfortably in pain." Blew my mind the first time I recognized it, too. They're outstanding lyricists, but "CHOKE" has some of their best ever. Tough to say that after their concept album (the most recent to date) Queen Of The Murder Scene. Great, great stuff on that one.
Great reaction! Ha,ha - that was quite a jump from The Pretender cover to this. You missed their previous catalog of an EP and 2 LPs which they published independently using Patreon and crowd funding. They are now signed with LAVA Records, who produced this MV.
Great reaction! People say in this performance she (Daniela) sounds like Lizzy Hale. Yes-they are very different from your first reaction but the first one was from 2016. They have 2 complete albums and a 3rd one coming out soon. You need to walk through their Queen of the Murder Scene album (all live concert performances) to see how passionate and versatile these 3 ladies are. All 3 can and do sing lead vocals (although very sparingly for Ale on the bass). They stopped doing covers in 2017 when their first album of original music came out. They are prolific song writers and perfectionists in every way and their music and performances show it!
They did do a cover of Atlas Rise by Metallica at the Whisky a GoGo in 2019 as an encore at the end of a 2 hour show.
@@lonelywind3511 You're right. It was a one-time thank you to the concert organizer (as I understand it). Ale looked like she was ready to drop and I know they had to be really tired. I personally don't watch that performance because I think they were so tired it was not their best performance. I normally do not promote that performance (no offense to The Warning- I just know their standards are really high).
Their new song is so good , Ale is looking so grown up now , Pauli is killing it on the drums and Dani`s voice has improved immensely . Amazing . P.s. You are soooo cute Deadgrl ! Love it .

I grew up listening to some of the finest female rock vocalists ever, e.g., Grace Slick, Janis Joplin, Nancy Wilson, etc. Each one is/was unique. And I think what we have here is another unique voice. Sure she’s a fan of some current singers, but her voice is instantly recognizable as Daniela Villarreal - only. And how fun to watch and listen!

This is their newest original single and they only get better with every track they release. It's incredible how much they've grown in their talents and skills in the five short years since their cover of The Pretender.

I can't wait for the full album to be released. In the meantime, please check out their previous work to give yourself a primer of what is to come. Did you like it? I'm not sure. :-) Yes, since you did their Foo Fighters cover and then Choke, you've skipped over the Queen of the Murder Scene album. It's a story told over 13 songs, of a girl in love with someone who doesn't even know she exists. She goes from love to obsession to stalking, murder, and then she has to fight the demon within her. Sounds like something you might get into!
@Deadgirl Superstar: I agree with TimberWolf! You should give QotMS a listen - it's quite the master piece. Since this is a concept album, you'll get a better appreciation of the narrative if you listen to the songs in sequence - or - up to you 😁! Not one filler song; all awesome! 👍👌🤘✊

You have missed a lot of original music. This is the first song released from their 3rd full length album. They had 33 original songs in their catalog prior to this and last summer they signed a 5 album deal with Lava Records; the first band from Mexico to sign with a major US label. This 3rd album is the first one with the backing of Lava/Republic Records.

I’m older so her voice reminds me of Rik Emmett of Triumph, quite a bit. They’ve really become a killer band. Not up to Band-Maid standards but headed that way.

Oh yes. This is the best cover of the song ever, IMO. I actually like it more than the original b/c of the sheer emotion she puts into it. Eva was an astonishingly good artist who passed away too soon.
Dani's voice has a bit of a Lzzy Hale from Halestorm sound to me with a bit of a lower register but so so good, great reaction :)

Great reaction! That was fun to watch. The Foo Fighters cover they did was really good but there is so much more original content that you can react to. They have two other albums of original songs that are awesome as well. This song "Choke" is insanely good but you'll be just as impressed with all their other original songs.
