- Revenant Act 3 and the Episodes ending. Things have been slow throughout the episode, but we get some epic story revelations and cutscenes in today's update. A new Kell Of Kells, a final showdown with Fikrul and the Echo changing hands. The new Kells Fall Exotic mission is out! As well as the Slayers Fang Exotic Shotgun, so lets recap the end of this episode!

I like the idea of Eramis being a conflicted character that tried everything to help her people including being a main antagonist of an entire expansion... but I really don't feel like it was a good transition to redemption. She's just all "I hate you still you guys ruined everything now I have one of the most powerful items in the universe because I'm the chosen one so I'm going to peace out leave all my people here and go be God byeeee."
Like what if she had to sacrifice herself somehow using the Echo to help Mithrax, destroying the echo and her in the process. This solidifies Mithrax's commitment to helping all Eliksni as he recognizes all she did was for their people and HE departs the system to reclaim Riis with a group of different united houses.

It bothers me that, despite some development, she still holds onto her hateful, single-minded views. She hasn’t acknowledged the pain she caused not only us but also her own people-the very people she claimed to be fighting for. Also if I'm not mistaken She called out Mithrax for joining the humans but bows beneath Xivu Arath, a Hive God. The Hive LITERALLY WERE THE WHIRLWIND. I'm just so tired if each season suggesting she will change but by the end she's right back at square one. But at least she's gone hopefully for good this time.

@elseggs6504 the thing is when you truly look at the lore when you hear people like zavala, eris, saint-14 ect they are biggest hypocrites like how many times have they ordered or committed genocide on other races just because of their nature like it took misraks to basically say to saint yes we eliksni have done some bad things but you committed mass genocide on us that our children see you as beacon of darkness and hate and a monster to make saint look at himself and be like maybe we aren't entirely good ourselves like zavala and the concensus ordered the extinction of the amharkara for stupid reason because people was stupid enough to make a wish in the presence of one or didn't make a wish by using proper wording so things backfired for making a wish with no planning plus look at our guardian and ghost we go round killing big names and committing genocide which causes more problems because people come for us to either get revenge or to avenge

I'm so dissapointed that there was no final confrontation between Fikrul and Crow. There was so much character drama to be had and it was completely wasted with Fikrul's death
Honestly if anyone it should have been Crow to deal the final blow. Yeah people might complain about how our character doesn't do much but really considering the relationship that Crow (or moreso Uldren) and Fikrul share? It make sense that he do it and finally close the book on one of his biggest regrets from his past life.
@@Altoryu Exactly, and there's so much substance to be had with Fikrul feelin betrayed that his Father is now a lightbearer, and Crow, with his memories of Uldren wanting to reconcile this part of his life. Instead we got....this
It's atrocious how much potential Crow and Fikrul had and they threw it aside. This season could have been loaded down with so many different story threads, but again we got utter slop.
I was just thinking the same thing. While it could have been us who deals the final blow, Crow could have been there in the fight as well as distracted him so to say, like there's many ways Crow could have been included into the final confrontation. Bungie team keeps sadly having a lot of misses like these and it gets on my nerves.

I dont think Eramis deserves the Echo. She did horrible stuff and now she gets redeemed by the magic plot device? Mithrax being at the brink of death and being healed by the Echo as the Kell of Kells, chosen by the traveler wouldve been cooler.
I think the writers forgot that she tried to blow up the Traveler with the Warsats. She's a terrorist and it's honestly kinda jarring that she got to leave with a fancy new toy and talk smack on her way out.
I really don't like where they took the whole "Fallen are people too" plotline. Mithrax was amazing, but the rest feels like historical revisionism.

Crow should've been the one to end Fikrul.
Bungie trying to push Eramis onto us as much as they tried to push Nimbus, it ain't working bungie. Mistraaks should have had the echo after he was cleansed. And they really need to stop with the "do the same mission 3 times" sort of story missions.

The entire plight of Eramis was that she was driven mad by the Whirlwind. By the time we get to TFS she is just tired of all this war. Now, the Eliksni have a new lease as a species.

Why should we trust Eramis now? What exactly has she done to warrant our trust beyond “curing” Mithrax?
The same reason we trusted mithrax despite years of hostility to a from the fallen, it's an olive branch in hopes of a better future for all.
@@ratman2580 that makes 0 sense when considering the difference between Eramis and Mithrax was that Mithrax stopped being violent and created house of light and lead his people through peace and nonviolence whereas Eramis has shown nothing that and has actively caused things to be worse when given the chance to stop over and over again. Befriending a group of Guardians, creating House Light and even risking his life to alert us of Eramis attempt of robbing Outbreak Perfected. He earned our trust, as far as I'm concern, and that's why we very happy when we saw him in Season of the Splicer.
I mean, as an ally or enemy she's leaving sol, so at least she's no longer a problem

Pissed about doing the same quest 3 times in a row, but I’m definitely happier with this ending than I was with Episode 1’s ending. Overall this surpassed Echoes a decent amount.
God, I find myself rolling my eyes every time Eramis speaks. It should've been Eido or Misraaks.

It baffles me how forced everything about her is. I genuinely don't understand why Bungo didn't keep her as a villain.
Well at least this episode had an actual conclusion, not only for Fikrul, but also gave both Eramis and Mithrax a new road ahead.
Mithrax just follows the same path as always. The conclusion of his curse was the worst and most predictable outcome possible. Now he is cured, he had some problems outside the lore for 1 seasons. Wow, thanks writers.
At least our guardian finally did something instead of being a background character in most cutscenes 💀

One thing I can’t understand is how eramis still blames humanity for all the shit that happened to the fallen, like yeah it’s our fault your inferior species decided to come to earth and fight us, the superior species because the big white ball decided to come to earth when the witness attacked riis. She says it’s our fault the eliksni became scavenging insects like what are talking about it’s literally the eliksnis fault
actually is travelers fault, eliksni didnt asked to be abandoned and we didnt asked for the traveler, the big ball asshole just acted, in fact he didnt abandoned us because he wanted to finally fight the witness, like the witness said, there was no place for him to run away, the traveler was corned not brave
In all honesty, it’s her fault as the LEADER of her faction to keep trying to poke the bear with the gun while victim blaming. It’s the main reason I don’t like her character as she’s so hung up on being the victim that her position now is just pathetic.
She's very obviously mad at the traveler but since the traveler can't really react to her she blames whats next, the ones the traveler chose over her people. Obviously her anger is misplaced but thats what the core of a lot of the issues in stories are, misplaced anger.

So instead of an increasingly interesting villain who spent the season carving an identity for himself, or the long standing ally of ours that has proven himself a dozen times over, Bungle gives the illustrious title of Kell of Kells to… by far the least interesting villain the series has ever seen. Right. Plus this leaves the interesting Nezarec plot line dead in the water as well as eliminating a newly significant character in Fikrul. Not. Great.
Yeah, kinda disappointing. Nezarec is one of the best villains they've ever made imo. He has so much potential. I seriously hope this wasn't the end of Nezarec.😊

Its just me, or these episodes are kinda too positive, D2 should be more dark, I know the witness is gone, but i'm missing some tragedy, like nezarec, he could take over misraks and leave, being a new future menace, the last remaining disciple of the witness, in echoes, Osiris could have died, leaving a grieving Saint-14, who just find out it was a "copy", accepted it but ended losing the one man he loved the most, probably they're planning something, but by far its too happy.
Agreed, since early destiny 2 hell even maybe rise of iron it feels like the story has been more Disneyefied with it always being another sappy speech or “the power of friendship” with such basic plot and rushed character development. I can’t take it seriously. Like old D1 grimore cards painted such a darker but more realistic story for the setting. That’s the story I fell in love with. And even in D2 the grimore cards are basically breaking their backs carrying the story in the back ground.
We killed the Witness. Now just need to clean up the Echoes left.
@@GrandmaDestinynot really, there’s still forces like the Winnower , the nine, the possibility of more beings like Nezarec (never truly dies), and who knows what else there is. Everything we’ve delt with so far has been in Sol system, or has came to us in Sol.
I wonder if Skolas will end up becoming the new leader of the scorn since we never saw him in act 3 and isn't confirmed he, the barons, and other revenant scorn that Fikrul brought back are dead like puppets with their strings cut

@@Ozzie314I honestly hope if someone gets to be a guardian, it's The Fanatic. I'm sure Crow would see himself in him, and Fikrul definitely meets the "devotion, bravery, sacrifice" stuff as well.

-Eramis shoehorned to be “good” but hasn’t got any redemption arc whatsoever, even the echo chooses her (not that it is wrong per se, but in regards to the story now it is)
-the prophecy of the kell of kells finally ending is “ok he is the kell” and mithrax becomes a cuck by giving that title to others. Like dude
So they basically ruined 3 characters with 4+ years of build up in a single damn cutscene. I’m just disappointed.
And they said that episodes were longer so they had more time to think and make, I wonder with less time what could have happened….
That's the problem who the tiny amount of content they have been putting into these episodes there no time to expand character arcs when all it is 3 or 4 short missions that can be beaten in an hour. That's the whole reason we hated time gating there wasn't any content to make time gating feel good
21:43 As far as I know, you guys fired off the first round. As as as I'm concerned, what followed after was on the Eliksni who were in power at the time... and most of them are now either long dead, suffered a fate worse than death, or weaving threads over in the Tower Annex.
This storyline is like historical revisionism now. Feels like the writing team is having a civil war.
Its like these Episodes get worse and worse. I still haven't been able to progress because they want a 2020 light level. Bring the season model back.
Skolas as the next big bad guy of Eliksni is going to be epic. Especially with all the new developments since House of Wolves expansion which was an eternity ago.
Which makes me wonder if he will try to become the new leader of the Scorn since Fikrul is gone. And form a new house with an army of Scorn.

Aside from the Episodes feeling really short and all the bugs, I'm pleased with where the story went ngl. I feel like all the plot threads I was worried about got wrapped up as they should have, though I'm still sad that we haven't gotten Eliksni lightbearers out of it
I do wish that Eramis came around to humanity more by act 3, but I think that would have required way more work than they had time for. Maybe if D2 survives long enough for us to see Riis, the Echo would have calmed her down
I’m glad we got to finish Fikrul for real this time, this Mo Fo we had to kill twice in forsaken one in the campaign then in the strike on the tangled shore, this time he’s gone gone now the only question is “does this mean Skolas is going to be a plot hole where he becomes the new leader of the scorn?” After all Fikrul revived him for a reason both him and the bomber and the Hive Dred lookin dude
Eramiskel is just an asshole character, and leaves being an asshole, a little bit less but still blames humanity for the Traveler's mistake. I was expecting Misraakskel to be the echo bearer and, at last, having an Eliksni guardian, but no, writers just flipped the bird. At least Fikrul is ooffed and Eramis left the system.
So I’m happy out of the fragment arcs we actually have a good solid ending instead of 3 fragments left open as they end development for D2 current to work on frontiers 🙄 Granted, I was hoping mythrax would get the shard and then we take out mythrax (evil) and then have the traveler come down and help cure and revive him giving him a ghost. Then mythrax learns of himself as a good guy instead of a tyrant. Then lead to others brought back as well. Imagine how cool that would be! One more joining the forces of light. Solidifying him as kel of kels.
I think, if future expansions are what we expect, we might even end up seeing Eramis again on Old Riis. We might be able to visit.
Not a lot of people see it but at 9:41 you see our guardian clench their fist in the exact pose as in the cover for Forsaken, symbolism that the hunt for all of uldrens barons is finally finished
So how is eramis gonna rebuild Riss? From the dialogue it doesnt look like she brought her house with her. So is she just going back to a dead planet?

I find it strange that Fikrul died from the serum.
As far as I understand, he was already alive. Last as a prisoner.
Normally, the dark ether should turn into normal ether.
But I suspect that since Riven or Wishdragon Bone used him experimentally, there is no clean ether left in him.

I’m so pissed it chose Eramis. I get why, but it should’ve been Mithrax.
To add to what I mean, it would’ve been better if the echo picked Mithrax to cure him of the curse and show Eramis was wrong in her ways for mistrust in humanity. I don’t fully dislike this ending, but I give it a 7/10 because the finishing off Fikrul was very nice, even if I feel like it should’ve had more to it with Crow and the scorn as a whole.
Eramis is the past.
Fikrul was the present.
Mithrax is the future.
The echoes are a memory of the past. Hence why it chose Eramis.
The theme of the story was about moving on from the past. Crow from Fikrul. Eido as future scribe of house judgement from Variks. Mithrax as Kell of Kells from Eramis.
Eramis and the echo got thrown in the trash. Good riddance.
At the same time Eramis felt the same about us.

i don’t play anymore but glad there was a decent ending this episode. been loving eramis’s character development even if it wasn’t the greatest this time around.

You literally could remove Ermis from this story and it wouldnt change or impact it. This was a lazy story. They tried to have a redemption arc for Ermis who has done countless atrocities and barely reflects on them or do enough good to make up for it. Meanwhile you have mithrax who literally continuously tries to change the person he was and reflects on everything. They brought back a curse that barely had any relevants in the season of the plunder and it hasn't been brought up much or shown throught later seasons. But, then bam we find out mithrax was still suffering from it even thought it hasnt been mentioned, shown, or brought up. Hes been suffering from it so bad hes fight for control of his body.They could have expanded on mithrax role and this could have been his reward for all the hard work and effort he has put into becoming something better. Instead they wanted to try to give it a crappy twist. They keep changing and altering the characters to fit there story. Instead of writing the story to fit the characters. It just feels like they hired the writing staff for CW. Cause every season fills like a CW show. Big reveals, revelations, and twist with no change or impact. Only to re do it all again next season.
It wasn't a redemption arc. It was about moving on from the past.
Eramis got thrown in the trash. Good riddance.
Better the Echo of Creation is away from Sol and in the hands of someone who shares the same wishes to rebuild Riis as it does and also to leave Sol and be done with the whole thing altogether. Eramis has done much wrong to the people of Sol and to her own kind, but at least now she is given the chance to make amends and move forward.
I like how Fikrul was effectively bested The Mummy style with how Imhotep in that movie was first defeated. By using the tonic it turns dark ether back into regular ether is in layman terms, make Fikrul mortal and since we are talking vampires the cylinder with the mortality tonic is like the stake to Fikrul that makes him mortal but also kills him.
Either she will rebuild Riis or make something new is up to her. Either way it's a New Riis altogether even if the legacy of the Traveler will not be used as in a great light which is understandable when there are those of Old Riis who remembers how they were eventually abandoned by the Traveler and their world decimated by the Witness's hand.
Misraaks on the other hand is now the new Kell of Kells which more than works out as he fits the role. Besides, what exactly can Misrakks do with the Echo of Creation especially when Eido's idea to cure the rest of the scorn was shot down. Sol is practically rebuilding after the Witness's invasion whereas now it is worlds outside of Sol that are in need of restoration and hope.
Although if I have to ask, what did happen to Skolas assuming killing Fikrul means any Revenants he created die with him or are they just wandering around?
They might do what they did at the end of Season of the Wish with Skolas

What makes this episode even funnier is how Eramis blames humanity for all that's happened to the Fallen. Like yes its humanity's fault that you decided to come to Sol and attack us and then start crying when humanity fights back and pulvarizes you lol.

Personally, I think Eido should have received the Echo. Many times in the lore people say Eido is the future of the Eliksnis. Mithrax, Variks, Crow even Eramis also think Eido could guide the Eliksnis to a new age. Eramis is the past of the Eliksnis, even personally Mithrax does not deserve the Echo. Eido receiving the Echo could have been a great character development for her but NO Bungie has other plans.
Gotta say Fikrul felt like the gnarliest death we dealt to a character. Stabbed him with tonic for him to turn back to an Eliksni and melt lol harsh.
As much as i didn't enjoy being forced to do the mission 3 times to complete the story. This was better than last episode where we didn't even get to fight Maya and Ikora just Nova Bombed her and we watched her float away.
If the first echo controls radiolaria and the second either the last one might control worms. Would be useful for someone who wants to control all the Hive. Since Xivu lost her throne world this could be very useful.
So I didn't understand what happened to Nezzy
My guess is that his darkness was pushed out and sent else where telling by the black strands

I'm still not buying bungie's hype about the echoes, bungie said the echoes are supposed to be too powerful because it contains darkness and light power , so far I'm not seeing it, I was expecting the power equivalent of the infinite stone glove in the avengers movies universe.
I'm glad Mithrax is okay...I honestly though he was gonna die fighting Fikrul and become a lightbearer via the echo.
I think the ending was very disappointing. The Death of Fikrul was underwhelming and the healing of Mithrax was even more disappointing in my opinion. And also this new character oh boy don’t even start. I am fearing that the next episode is even worse.

She regrets none of it and only regrets being here in the first place. I'm convinced the Echo choose her only because she wants to leave the system as much as the Echo does.

Eramis getting the echo made me cry tears of happiness. :) She's my fave character and all I wanted was her to get the Echo and rebuild Riis. And it happened!!!! So satisfying and made me so happy!

@Ram-lo1ji she's extremely well written! But her on-screen appearances are totally different than what is written in the lore. Because of this, the average destiny 2 players have a lot of misconceptions about her character.
It's honestly funny how Eramis blames humanity for the downfall of her people despite the fact that we were light years away when it all started. Firstly it was the hive who at the time served the witness that attacked riis and then reduced you to scavengers. Secondly you came to our system and attacked us trying to get the traveler back. All humanity did was fought back. All in her arc was handled terribly. There were some good moments in plunder, seraph, and defiance where they were setting up her redemption arc but botched it in revenant. You could at least have her acknowledge that siding with the witness was a dump idea or blaming humanity fir all there misfortunes isn't fair but in the end it doesn't feel like she learned anything.
Hate. Let me tell how much I've come to HATE Eramis since I began this Episode. There are 30 TRILLION cells that makes up my body. If the word HATE was engraved on each nanoangstrom of those TENS OF TRILLIONS OF CELLS IT WOULD NOT EQUAL ONE ONE-BILLIONTH OF THE HATE I FEEL FOR ERAMIS AT THIS MICRO-INSTANT FOR ERMIS. HATE. HATE. HAHAHAAAAAhHhh.... if I were lightless I think I would die of it.

IMO Destiny has the same problem Marvel has after Endgame. No antagonist feels scary or poses much of a threat after defeating the Witness. A new villain should come in, kill Zavala, kill Ikora, destroy the tower, and be an actual threat. Not some re-skin either. But the new villain needs to make an impact to get people invested in the story again.
I can’t stand eramis, she is still blaming us for the whirlwind as if the witness didn’t exist.

What the hell happened with Skolas then? They made a big deal about him at the end of the last act and nothing here. Also, The Madbomber and the Mindbender are still alive since Rikrul revived them in the mission and they don't fight us again.
Where is skullos? He got revived as scorn last act then never showed up?
Eramis did not deserve the echo. Her charicter development is still in the stage of "i might have came here to your home system and terrorised humanity for years but its all your fault and humans are horrible". She is not sorry and she would have been a better charicter and might have had a redemption worth something if she had died holding fikrul down for the tonic. Then have the echo go to eido from there relations between the eliksni and humans could have improved greatly by allowing eido to help repair and recollonise sol in the future then use that goodwill to allow her to get help to remake riis in the future somewhere.
At this point im just comming back every now and then because i tecnicly bought the episodes with final shape
I rather enjoyed Revenant. I’m glad they gave us a story related reason to do the exotic mission.

Always puzzles me why Eramis (and the Eliksni) feel so wronged and hate humanity. For starters, Eramis, we didn't invite your people to scavenge and plunder OUR ruined solar system and make it worse. So, if you're leaving, do it now, and take your shit little Dreggs with you and come back when you have even less time to spare.

This ending was so much better then echo's which was so very disappointing and I am glad that Mithrax was finally cured from that evil curse.

I haven't touched the game in months, but its nice seeing loose ends wrapped up, now I won't even come close to saying I won't play the game ever again or that the games dead or any of that BS, I'll probably play again come next expansion

Glad you added this. I been a Destiny player since D1 launch but I’m getting less and less interested in playing. Everything after The Final Shape has been “meh” to say the least. Hopefully, things will pick up in the next episode.
