If you didn't know of Niall I can sum him up by this. He was walking years ago and fans as well as paps were all around him. A pap told a fan/fans to move out of the shot. Niall said "Don't tell them to move, they pay my bills you don't." He also told the fans to tell his security if the paps were pushing them. That's a guy who knows the truth of his fame and is grateful for it and will protect his fans because they made him who he is.
