Love the fact Sydney knew missing her grandmother's funeral was the most important issue and not how she was treated.
Nah she didn't forget how she was treated too. She infact quoted Matthew about being humbled.

Linda didn't even apologize for making her miss it after Sydney mentioned it them. Linda apologized for calling her a "stupid maid", but not once did she say, "And I'm sorry we made you miss your Grandmother's funeral. And while I am glad that Sydney forgave them in the end, there was a part of me that wished Sydney had said to Linda, after Linda asked to take the rest of the day off for a family emergency, "No, you can't take the day off. You have to fix dinner for the kids. Did you let me take the day off to go to my Grandmother's funeral? No! You made me wait on your friends' stupid party! So, no! You can't take the day off!"
I love that Sydney was forgiving to the couple that treated her like she was worthless.

It kinda is specially if you’ve been diagnosed with terminal illness or someone that you love just died. For me personally I was pissed at everything around me even from the littlest stuff when my grandmother died not saying that lashing out right tho but it is understandable. You’ve already been stressed enough then someone would piss you off even more. Try to put yourself in their shoes. If you were mad at someone because they cheated on you, you’d probably have the urge to confront them and you can’t control that feeling.

I lost a funeral due to being "needed" at work. It was a retail store and there was a sale that my boss told me I could not miss. Turned out our department was empty, and there were more workers than customers that day. Have not forgotten that. 😢

I felt bad for her too - I would have said Omg! No! I'm so sorry to hear about his passing. Take the week off! My grandfather was dying and my bf was angry that I was leaving town to say goodbye to him. I kept saying Omg! My grandfather is dying and I want to pay my last respects and say goodbye.

EPIC!!!! I love this story, so cute how she became a millionaire and yes people do treat you funny when they are rich, sometimes...they cant help but look down, it seems like, they feel so elevated. I know someone who became rich and I know he was looking down on me and making fun of me by his statements. When I finally caught on, it was sad and disheartening but many rich people are just cold and it makes them feel happy to look down on the less successful.

I learned that when someone says sorry in a bad situation, it’s cuz they want the other persons help. Not cuz they are sorry. The married lady, she only said sorry because she needed the money. That's exactly how I felt, that apology was just tongue-tip words. She forgot how nasty she was to the maid and thought she would just forget it. The husband is an asshole too, he was like ''why are you being like that?''. Erm...it's because she no longer has to respect you.
