Ref was wrong with the yellow at 20:20. As a former goalkeeper I can honestly say that wasa 100% fair challenge for the ball. At no time did the keeper have the ball under control so it was fair game.
The ref gave an indirect free kick against the attacker, which makes me think he actually booked the attacker for simulation (diving). But that would be ridiculous. He clearly just has his feet wrong when he lands because he turned his body away from the keeper to protect himself. And he picks himself up immediately off the ground without appealing. He's never throwing himself to the ground looking for a penalty.
A bit overreferee'd, this one. Good that he kept control of everything, and maybe there's context/history that's making him reach for his pockets so quickly, but I think he can get the same result with half the yellow cards. Most of the ones for "delaying the restart of play" and the one for simulation at 20:10 were... interesting.
2 CSA points of emphasis this year are dissent and delaying the restart - don't be surprised if you see a lot of yellow cards for these 2 things, this season.
He wasn't handing out a lot of cards. 3 of the yellows were due to disrupting a free kick. I think he did a good job in a match that didn't require stepping in and stopping escalations.
I disagree, call the cards for the purpose the laws were brought into the game. Letting anything slide or just giving it a free kick when it technically qualifies for a yellow is poor reffing. Remember this was a high tier competition, not just sunday league.
Almost perfect reffing. You HAVE to produce those cards early... I think i'd give him 85% for reffing as he still blew a couple that were not really yellows - the one with the kid trying to ead the ball away from the goalie in second half. But, by being on top of fouls which really do qualify for a yellow and not just letting it slide, it keeps the game moving and people are less likely to commit stupid fouls out of frustration. Plus, the game was obviously a higher tier competition and therefore the players should be abiding by the laws fairly strictly. This wasn't just a Sunday league game or social game, so the stakes for clipping ankles late or overzealous tackle should be high and receive an equally high stake consequence.
Newsflash: We don't give a flying #$%^ about the teams or who wins. We do the game, submit reports and collect our already low pay. Where do you work? I will send some guys to your employer so we can comment on your performance.
@@joecollins7549 What kind of over sensitive complex do you refs have, just because we hold an unfavourable opinion on your performance? You wouldn't make better calls if you were paid more. Stop whining and have the FA invest in better character training.
Almost perfect reffing. Call the yellows and reds. Don't like going to gaol, don't do the crime! Sounds like you're the kind of bloke that commits a lot of fouls. Can't wait to ref you!
@@Diabolous3x you want to keep the game flowing , you want to keep the game at a high level , throwing out cards left right and Center to assert dominance because you don’t know how to handle confrontation and constantly putting the game to a hault just ruins the tempo of the game just because the ref wants to get his message across, at the end of the day people go to watch a soccer match to see the players not the ref.
As usual, someone who has no clue about the laws of the game is making comments. There's a referee shortage - you should sign up and try it out. Maybe you'll actually learn something and then you can make these stupid comments. @@joecollins7549 Fantastic response. As a referee admin/instructor in Ontario, I’ve found IST’s videos have had plenty of helpful “teaching moments” for match officials and high enough quality to make them useful (often can’t say the same of L1O’s vids). That said, the clickbait is ridiculous and @IST needs to get serious with their titles. More than half of the clickbaity titled games I’ve seen were handled decently by the officials - one could only fault the players/coaches/spectators for their lack of maturity and restraint.
One of the best games I've watched on this channel. Real quality on display and less of the constant complaining that usually plagues these games.
#4 on red is quite a player. Very solid positioning and timing on the challenges. Well played both teams

Both team played a good game. Most of the fouls in this game was unintentional. Both team played the ball. A lot of passion and chemistry.
Guy screaming “FINISH!” At 5:59 was about to start crying 😂😂

If North Toronto Nitros players were passing the ball instead of dribbling all the time, they could win the game big time.
half time show girl walking across the field 👀
That girl at 11:56 is beautiful!!!! Someone drop her @
she kinda mid ngl
Number 21 on North TO, runs like Mbappe/Ronaldo LOL
Reminds me of Mbappe. Very good player but lacks finishing a bit though
In my opinion should learn how to use is right foot
But has quality IMO
Just the California or Texas scene would kill all these little Canadian teams 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
looks like the nitros #21 cant use his right-foot at all
Those yellows were dumb
90% were perfect - this isn't a sunday league competition.
I hate when refs make the game about them , this guy shouldn’t be Reffing for this league anymore.

Ref making bad calls left and right
U-21 player are much better compare to the adult cuz they don’t scream like a little girls every seconds
Man these goalies are actually so bad, how did they make league one
Glad the reds didn’t win. Their fans were more interested in making high pitch screams when their players did a basic turn on the ball
Both goalkeepers suck. And for the two teams supposedly being top teams, neither created much at all.
both teams were eh
