Lately, I had a lot of battle with doubt so I turned it into a prayer for Jerusalem and asked our God to increase the faith of our brothers and sisters in Jerusalem
Thank you for the gift of your prayers. I relate to your battle with doubt. May the Lord sustain and strengthen your faith. Here are some things that have encouraged me that I hope might encourage you. God is the author, sustainer and finisher of your faith. Hebrews 12:2 I am so very thankful that even if we are faithless, He remains faithful. 2 Timothy 2:13 We can pray like the man in Mark 9, "I believe; Lord, help my unbelief." Our faith is tested when God does not do what we expect. It is tested when He allows what we do not expect. Doubting God's goodness was the lie of Satan dating back to the Garden of Eden. Sometimes in suffering, I have prayed, "Lord, help me, I am starting to doubt Your goodness." Recently I have prayed, "God help me accept you as You are and not lift myself up as if I am Your judge. Things happen that I do not understand, but there is no shadow of darkness in You, and You are perfect in all Your ways to me. I wait for You more than the watchmen wait for the morning!" There's a good song about faith by Gungor called, "Please Be My Strength." There's another good song called, "The Silence of God" by Andrew Peterson. One other song that comes to mind is "Drawn to You" by Audrey Assad. You can listen to these on RUclips if you want to. I hope some of these things might encourage you today. Shalom shalom to you.
@@freshnewday Your reply helped me too but I was not in a period of doubt though many of us do at times, but to be reminded that he is the Author sustainer and finisher of our faith was timed right for me so thank you also.
Numbers 6:23-27 23 “Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, ‘In this way you shall bless the sons of Israel. You are to say to them: 24 The Lord bless you, and [a]keep you; 25 The Lord cause His face to shine on you, And be gracious to you; 26 The Lord lift up His face to you,And give you peace.’ 27 So they shall invoke My name on the sons of Israel, and then I will bless them.”
Whatever specific prayer request we have in our own life, family, community and nation, we can TURN INTO A PRAYER FOR JERUSALEM (by doing that we deny ourselves and align with our God’s priorities) Whatever you want others to pray for you, pray for Jerusalem !
Will Esus/Hesus return to the place of his Birth(Bethlehem) and to the place of his execution in Middle East , in his 2nd Coming/return to earth?..Big No!..His final instructions to John(last verse of the book of John) is: Go and I will be with you (and Mary being adopted by John) even unto the ends(uttermost in Mathew 12:42) of the earth..Jesus in his 2nd Coming, together with the New Jerusalem/Cube City/Temple of God will descend in Maguindanao(derive from the word Magu/Magi ,3 Kings of the Far East) is the Queen of the South(Mathew 12:42)..and why not King of the South?
We are in the New Testament now and must believe in Jesus Christ, and pray for Israel to come to Jesus Christ. We can not bless Israel, but pray that Jews come to Jesus. Of the 21 prayers for Israel none of them are even in the New Testament
