There was only 1 toothbrush but small, medium, large, and xl sizes... that one person must bloat a lot. I agree that they take random pieces of damaged luggage and stuff it full of bin store leftover clothing.
I think that the suitcase belonged to Ethan and his boyfriend Shawn and they were going on vacation to somewhere in Colorado. The shorts and tee shirts were for wearing in the house.
I believe the airlines most times can’t be bothered to reunite the passengers with their luggage because the bag tags have the passengers name and the airline info if they really want they can go back to the booking and get the person’s email address there and phone number and contact them.
There are thousands of people flying per day, if we take emirates, they fly up to 400 passengers per flight, now I can’t imagine the amount per day. So I think you right, they have so much going on that they don’t bother if the passenger do not do the needful to get it. Like they won’t bother to go search for the person
You should try ordering items from Unclaimed Baggage, it's a store in Scottsboro Alabama that sells unreturned luggage items, but more like a thrift store.
The people who lost the luggage are paid by the insurance, so don’t offer to send it back. There’s no reason to feel bad about it. It was lost. They were reimbursed and you purchased it. Also, these are all scams.

I do like mysteries, but Amazon-type return boxes do seem to have a better outcome (along with less hygiene concerns). In selling lost luggage it would be both nice and ethical if the airlines banked that money for the, "Let's Not Lose Our Customer's Luggage Especially After Over-charging Our Customer for Check-In Bags" Fund.😉 As for a lost luggage backstory, I would say that this is a divorced (non-custodial parent) Dad taking his young (maybe 11 - 14 years old?) child on an island vacation with lots of different activities planed...or like Roxx said this was simply a combo of multiple lost items!

I think it’s more likely that 1) it’s more than one persons stuff in the cases or 2) different brands have different fit sizing and they like oversized fits But it is defo possible that some companies are just throwing random stuff in cases just to make money

I think that he lives in a colder area and that is why they have the fleece lined jacket and pants for when they come back from holiday and that they are going some where warm like Hawaii and they have different sizes because clothes aren't all made the same or buy the same company that is why they have the arrangement of different sizes but the one thing we have yet to see is shoes so he could also be going to his own vacation home as well.
When my family travels together we usually carry on our essentials (like underwear) and then pack a shared overflow bag. That way if it gets lost we don't end up on vacation without any underwear. Clearly socks, boxers and shoes have been removed before then packing contents into a larger knackered unsaleable case and flogged. Again theyve taken care to remove anything maybe valueable but leaving some branded clothing so doesnt look a complete flop 🤔
It looks like someone coming from a cold place and going somewhere warm, they probably put their jacket in there once they got to the airport so they wouldn't be wearing it when they landed in the hot climate. They probably packed the other warm clothes for when they returned back. Source I've done that lol

I think the best option is someone privately donates the items so they aren’t wasted. No ones luggage should be opened in front of the world like that it is personal and I would be so upset if this was mine. That’s just my opinion though.
