- My wife surprised me with a trip to Hobby Town for my birthday and I picked up the new Traxxas Sledge! In this video, I do a quick unboxing, test out some batteries for fitment, do a box stock speed run with the SkyRC GNSS, and take it out back for a nice bash session.

Wait until you put a Castle ESC on it. Even on 6S the hit goes way up.
I’m gonna run it stock for a while, but I’m sure I’ll do some upgrades down the line. What Castle ESC are you running? Stock motor?
@@XXLRC I saw it on RUclips. I'm about to buy a Sledge. Was going to go Kraton EXB and a big build but the Sledge seems like a good entry for $1k instead of $2k.

I love Floureon Lipos🐂 they have a ton of power, too bad the discontinued them. 😔
They do seem to be pretty good. I wonder why they discontinued the brand?
@@XXLRC I have no clue.. An alternative to Floureon I would buy would buy are the Zeee Lipos. I have 2 "9000 mah" I run my 8s kraton with them, and they did not Disappoint at all.. they are affordable and provide a ton of power!
I had a couple of Zeee batteries that came with my Ascender. Unfortunately, the guy I got it from ran it in salt water and fully submerged it. Never got to try out the Zeees. They were junk when I got them. I’ve had good luck with HRB too.
@@XXLRC i got back into the RC hobby about a week ago, last week I purchased a Kraton 8s, brand new for $700 on offer up. I purchased it with the purpose of reselling it and making a good 200 bucks from it.. but I ran it and it was too much fun that I decided to keep it

What connector did you use to use another battery?
It’s an XT60 to TRX adapter made by Common Sense RC.
Can you charge that on a traxxas charger??
Better question does trx charge on a new traxxas charger? Sorry I’m not trying to get ripped off with lipos anymore

Traxxas chargers are compatible with other LiPo batteries. As long as you have an adapter, it will work.
