Wondering how crazy it would be to turbo a 2nd Generation Ridgeline with a J35Y6 and AWD? My guess is the transmission would take a beating, but still, power to all wheels?
I haven't done much research with the second generation Honda Ridgelines. But from what I read, the 2009-2014 Ridgelines are directly swappable with the equivalent year/gen j37 engines from say an MDX or a TL. The Ridgelines transmission could totally handle it, it's actually a stronger transmission compared to the accord. Likely most mods done on this build are possible on a Ridgeline, I do don't see why not. Especially since he mentioned that this was mostly stock/bolt on. There are people on the forum who successfully swapped a J37 into a Ridgeline (must address the rich A/F Ratio), and ktuner support 2009-2014 Ridgelines. (mayber later years too, I'm not sure) I'm personally thinking about following with the EFI intake and bolting j37 throttle body to mine with a throttle body spacer. I may not run boost, but even that alone would provide a nice decent punch to the pedal. Not that the truck is weak or anything.
Love the v6 it sounds like dks 350z from Tokyo drift and the R32 VW version. What are deep sound what a deep deep greedy sound ! It must be the headers whatever headers it is and it sounds like it’s an open header of a turbo too ! 😮😮😮😮😮❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This is actually awesome! Have you guys also got into tuning the 4th gen Acura TLs as well? A lot of people struggle with the 6ATs limitations of that generation and even K-tuners couldn't fix the limiter the car has by automatically shifting into 5th gear and car doesn't pull after 120.
@@XGNPerformance The only way to truly understand is to get your hands on any 2012-2014 Acura TL both base model and SH-AWD, and basically send it and try to do the dash and watch there will be a fuel cut around 120 and the speedo won’t even move even though the car will feel like it can go at least 160 mph.
Good question. Check for leaks and engine oil level frequently in the first couple of weeks to make sure things are ok. Look for any loosen nuts and bolts in the setup. After u r sure things are stable hardware-wise, do a checkup routine thoroughly once a week or two. Maintain the car like usual, change the fuel filter if u haven't, and always use good oil. Add injector cleaner to the tank once every 3,000-5,000 miles to make sure injectors are clean and inject fuel into all cylinders equally to avoid some cylinders going too lean when injectors are dirty. And u should install fuel pressure gauge to make sure u have good fuel pressure at all times. Set a warning when pressure drops to avoid blowing the engine from lean mixture.
What mods were done to this beautiful masterpiece? Getting a 2017 auto v6 accord. Fell in love with the 2010 v6 coupe, but it shit the bed and haven't found a car that made me happy like the v6 accord did lol. This is what im looking to do to my 2017 sedan (need 4 doors seeimg i have a mini me now) from mods to the tune. Thanks in advance
Hi This car has Slickfab turbo kit + a tune done by us. We are located in Thailand and we have a partner in Florida which can arrange your car for a tune. Feel free to ask anything!
Hello, I just recently got my 2016 V6 and I wanted to ask you where you would recommend your turbo kit from? As well as a point in a right direction for a good tuning? I had the 2016 LX but got totaled 2 weeks ago and found the 2016 V6 and I could not stop smiling through the test drive. Any tips would be greatly appreciated because my goal is to get it sounding exactly like yours. Hope to talk soon, have a goodnight.
I'm totally poor right now and can't afford this, but if someday in the future I had the money, is there any place that can install a turbo on my 2017 V6 Accord Touring Coupe and tune it for me? I'm in Florida, and I don't know how to do this stuff myself, but I want a reliable turbo setup for daily driving that won't blow out my engine or transmission.
Hi, Thanks for watching. The dream is what keeps us going! And yes, we can get you sorted out. Stick with us, and make sure you ask us the same question again when the time comes! We got you in Florida! Cheers!🤝🤝🤝
It was not measured on dyno since the car is too low to get on the dyno. Now we are trying to do electronic boost controller with boost by gear and all, installation and setup will be done by our partner, RollingRoadEFI in Florida. Then we will do the tune up and post an update video again.
Hello, I'm making an all motor build for my auto and soon going to install some brian crower cams and convert to e85 to match with my fbo coupe, what could i do to keep my transmission from taking a 💩 on me, i think with all that I'd be aiming for about 340-355 whp and the transmission is all im worried about going wrong....maybe turbo after everything else but i think thats overkill id have to get a manual at the point
First thing would be a big trans fluid cooler. And for higher power, clutch mod and torque converter mod will do the justice. Raybestos makes clutches for Honda auto trans.
@@9thgendomAny AliExpress oil cooler or eBay oil cooler will be fine. Regarding the clutch, I suggest you inquire them for the best result. We are not fortunate enough to have tried that many to know what's best yet.

Load calibration in the ECU have to be adjusted right, tuner has to care about that, at least the scaling of air and everything. Then the right pressure could be applied enough to make it ok.
Yes, but I prefer to work with stock ecus to be able to adjust more parameters outside of what K-Tuner allows. But it's also up to you if you want to use K-Tuner. Let me know
@@XGNPerformance oh gotcha! I hate ktuner, I have used tuning software before and ktuner has me at a loss for words at how terrible and limited it is. About how much is a tune? Assuming you have a dyno?
