Due to overwhelming response (lol), there is in fact a 5th way to open tour charge port! Just press the right steering wheel button to activate speak commands and say, “open butthole”…yes…I said open butthole! Enjoy! Anything else we missed let us know below!
Your info about superchargers is wrong. There are three types of superchargers. The newest (and most desirable) are the V3 superchargers. These come numbered in groups of 4, e.g. 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D. Each of these are 250kW. Sharing 2A and 2B will not affect your charge rate. The older V2 superchargers come in pairs, and are numbered 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B. These are get 150kW, and are split between their neighbor. In this case, you will want to avoid sharing. The third type is the urban superchargers, these look different than the V2 and V3. These get 72kW, and are not shared.
Wow, the best and most updated Tesla tip video ever. Lots of them I didn’t know about even after watching a whole round of videos of the US, Japanese and Chinese channels on RUclips. You guys talk clearly and edited the video as being so fun to watch. So saved and subscribed. Thank you!
Pulled up next to a guy at an urban charger. He was glaring at me as I pulled up and looked agitated. Plugged in. After a few minutes he jumped out. Slammed his door and came over an knocked on my window. He was irate I was "stealing" his charge because he thought they were shared. I tried to explain urban are capped at 75kw and are not shared. He wasn't having it. Unplugged and sped off. Wish people didn't spread bad information on this
Great way to start another Saturday! I especially like adding Michelle to the videos! Did not know about the 2nd 12V in the trunk. Great video as always, and love the outtakes!
Great tips and tricks, thank you! Btw, I don't think the charge splitting (between A and B) is a thing with 250 kw super chargers (e.g. v3), it's only an issue with the older 150 kw super chargers (e.g., v2).
I think a lot of new Tesla owners might not know about how to get it in park or neutral. Also the rear hatch height adjustment is a nice feature. You and your wife make a great team btw. Really enjoy learning more and more about Tesla's. 👍
For charge port you forgot the voice activated function, push right steering wheel roller ball and say, "open butt hole". I saw this on another video and tried it, it works, I even tried saying, "open b hole" since my kids were in the car and that worked too! Great video, there were some new tips I learned 👍🏾
I heard that you can drive hands free in a Tesla now. It's great that we have the self driving technology already. I want a Model 3. I know that someday when motor vehicles become fully autonomous self driving, people are going to trust it, laws are going to be changed and there will be no more accidents, no more speeding tickets, no more stop sign/red light running tickets, no more DUIs, no more distracted driving, no more texting while driving tickets, no more idiots swerving or drifting in & out of traffic or lanes and hopefully no more road kills either. I know that with self driving cars, everyone will have an easy way to get around, including the elderly and disabled or who ever has difficulty getting around. I know that there will be self driving trucks and RVs too. What's the point of needing a drivers license when you can get a self driving car lol?
You heard wrong. It is nowhere near hands free yet. Still requires driver attention and hands on the wheel. Self driving on city streets is currently in beta with only a handful of owners testing it.
Hey man! Just a clarification for #5, putting your blinker on doesn't automatically disengage auto-steer, but it does make it "easier" to do so. For example (if you don't have FSD) when you want to change lanes, pulling on the steering wheel is relatively difficult (on purpose), but if you put your blinker on, pulling on the steering wheel becomes much easier. I think this is what you're experiencing when you put your blinker on to turn off auto-steer in the video.
I learned a couple of new tricks🎉 Also, to open the chargeport you can use the voice assistant and say "open chargeport" or "open butthole" and it will open it up😬
Another thing with the turn signal. If you have auto cancel turned on and you are using auto steer, if you do a light press on the turn stock with minimal turning of the wheel the turn signal will auto cancel after 3 flashes. If you instead do a hard press on the turn stock the turn signal will auto cancel once you complete the lane change.
Two things. You are describing a v2 charger. A v3 does not have those limitations the stalls do not share a power cabinet. 2. When resetting the screen or the car you need to hold the scroll wheels until the Tesla "T" shows up. Otherwise very informative for the newbie Tesla owner
Hey guys, nice video. Funny thing.... I'm just lounging and watching and I heard you mention Roadhouse in Montgomeryville. I was like, OMG they are right by us! lol I happened to see the LED colored lights you had running along your console when you opened your center console. Which one is that? Where did you get it. I just place my order yesterday for a M3LR. Tesla is telling me it is due to come in November, but I realize it will probably be longer :( This is going to be the longest 3 months of my life!
Hey Bobby! It's a small world out there! I hope to host a meet up in the Fall as it turns out there a lot of Tesla owners near us! Would be great to share stories and pass out some giveaways. The light kit can be found in our Nighttime Accessory Video here: ruclips.net/video/J3ATqMnK_2M/видео.html
you did it, taught me a few things I had yet to learn. Any helpful hints on how to telephone Tesla for technical advice? (...without being told to use the mobile app.)

@@LockettTech It's where the Tesla folks do a live, virtual MS group meet for new owners, and they tell you about how to operate the car. This was actually far more helpful than that ... Thank you for taking the time to film it.
A tip for the supercharger that are 50% in use or more. If you are charging and closed to finished charging and the stall next to you is or become empty, flash the lights, so that people know you are almost done and they can charge next to you and get almost full speed. Also if people have left their car you should park next to the empty cars, as they are eating or something else and not in a hurry. Where people who sit in their cars usually are in a hurry and need to charge quickly.
They must have changed s'thing as no.5 is not the case on my 2022 M3, one up-press on stalk cancels corrective lane steeering ('autopilot') but leaves cruise control on, a second up-press on the stalk cancels cruise ctrl. Much better than signalling L or R to cancel when you dont actually want to turn.
Hi, interesting stuff. I was not aware of some tips .. thanks :-) Do you know if there is a way to temporarily silence sounds while parking ? I have a narrow garage, and the car makes a lot of sounds while parking. The user's manual states that you can press the left button on the steering wheel to mute parking sounds during the current parking session. But it doesn't seem to work, in my case it just mute/unmute radio / music,. Thanks for your suggestion and ... sorry for my English :) Alberto - Italy
I have a question. Does your model Y steering vibrate when you put ac in bio defense mode? Also, sometimes the ac is really loud outside. Is that normal
If you have FSD and when your on autopilot, turning your turn signal will not turn off the autopilot it will change lane by itself. If your on navigate on autopilot the car will automatically change lane if the car your following is slower than your car.
Great tips, I really learned a lot! That rear 12v outlet will come in handy when I travel with my 12v refrigerator. Do you know if it stays powered when the car is turned off?
Due to overwhelming response (lol), there is in fact a 5th way to open tour charge port! Just press the right steering wheel button to activate speak commands and say, “open butthole”…yes…I said open butthole! Enjoy! Anything else we missed let us know below!
I just saw this 😂😂😂 that’s actually my favorite feature 😂🤣😂
There’s also the ability to enable Sentry Mode by activating the speak command and saying “Keep Summer Safe” (it’s a Rick and Morty reference)
@@jdizzle2164 are you serious??? I have to try this

Yes, you can also use voice command to open the charge port by saying “open flux capacitor” in reference to the back to the future movie.

You rock Jjing! Glad it helped and welcome to the channel!
I believe you made a mistake on the V3 Superchargers. V3's are not shared, only the V2's. Urban's are also not shared.
You are correct. V3 doesn't share power and there's no need to use every other station.
Pulled up next to a guy at an urban charger. He was glaring at me as I pulled up and looked agitated. Plugged in. After a few minutes he jumped out. Slammed his door and came over an knocked on my window. He was irate I was "stealing" his charge because he thought they were shared. I tried to explain urban are capped at 75kw and are not shared. thats weird that v3s are supposed to be their own power but here in bc canada the v3's are shared power for some reason🤔
Thanks for the great tips and hacks. “GAS pedal?”

That's correct, the V3-chargers doesn't have the A/B designation, that will only be used on V2 150kw chargers. Great and useful video!
