Why is crossing the meridian at midnight important?
That's when an object is highest in the sky.
Like Baz said, objects are highest in the sky at midnight when crossing the meridian. Higher = less atmosphere = better pictures.
Does the Sombrero know how much Ive spent trying to see it?
This just makes me feel even worse about not having a single clear night this month with 10 days of horrible forecast for the rest of it…
