Hunting in the snow for Elk is a good advantage, makes it easier to drag.Too Tracks are good to follow but remember elk will look over it's shoulder to see if something is following it, walk to the side of the tracks use your glasses if you have to works like a 380 bull who never had a clue I was tracking him. The techniques used in hunting Utah is so completely different than the techniques for hunting in Florida. I know you know that as a Florida native. I grew up in Oregon but never hunted terrain like this in deep snow. I would be lost out there. I admire your determination.
It's a little different for sure. A lot of glassing out here. I'm probably not patient enough and move around a little too much, but I'm always thinking, "I bet there's one over the next ridge." You should be getting your package in the next day or two. Take care.
