Goycochea was THIRD GOALKEEPER in the Argentine Squad. Totally amazing and incredible that a golden goalkeeper was in the hidden, and if it wasn't for the injury of the first goalkeepers he would have never been seen.
Always noticed he hesitated for a split second when Brehme struck that penalty kick. Now it makes sense when he said he was ready for it to go to his right, but thought Brehme might hit it high into the net. For Goycochea to adjust that quickly to a low shot into the corner is still incredible.
@@moreblack 100%. I was a huge Goycochea fan as a teenager at the time, and desperately wanted him to save it. But what a penalty under the most extreme pressure on your shoulders. What a professional. Hard to believe Brehme is no longer with us. RIP Andy Brehme, his penalty will never be forgotten.

We really like Sergio how he showed the redemption at the world cup. He played well with Maradona for Argentina. His skills showed amazing saves and brought Argentina into the world cup final in 1990 in Italy.
He was my hero as a kid (and i'm English!). I always used to play in goal and i was 9 when i watched this world cup. It left a lasting impression on me. So 20 or more years later i bought a replica shirt. £100 it cost from Argentina, and it was'nt a very good replica. It was also too small lol
