    A neck can be 100% straight if the frets are leveled 100% correct and nut plus bridge are aligned for it.
    Keep in mind that there are guitars build that way, they do not even have a trustrod.
    Ola also prefers no relief on the neck of his main guitars.

    if you have just slightly high fret that cause buzz you can bang it. all you need is pick coin and small hammer. If you have ss frets you need just coin and hammer.

    Me would recommend "ein Händchen" and "ein wenig handwerliche Begabung" AND good tools 🧰
    Please don't attack your nut with a "Nagelfeile" or sim. stuff
    Get a kit or a less expensive axe with a bolt on neck to do your 1st attempts

    the body of the Floyd Rose tremolo needs not to be "flush" to the body but is parallel to the body. It can not be flush if there is a cavity that allows for full-float then the Floyd Rose body can not be flush to the guitar body.

      Oh it can be trust me but that is not what he means cause flush can only be achieved by lowering the action

    Hey Kris and rest of the team, awesome work as always, thank you 🙏 I have a question. I wired my tele with a push push pot so I can have both pickups in series and it sounds like the bridge is going into the neck pickup. If this is indeed the case, is there a way to do the opposite (neck into bridge)?

    Hi Kris! Can you recommend me a Gotoh 2 points trem for my MIM Fend Stratocaster? Wish you all the best and a “Happy New Year!”. Cheers!

    if the guitar is tuned 1/2 step down, then the advange is that there is reduced tension on the strings vs. standard tuning .
    Do not change string gauge, but re-setup action, in other words do a complete setup.

    • @loeffel999
      @loeffel999 6 месяцев назад

      It simply depends on what you want to achieve, personal preference and how you play. When I tune a guitar down, I don't do it because of reduced tension, I do it because I want to aim for a specific lower tuned sound or want to play songs that need a lower tuning. I hit the strings pretty hard. So if I tune down, I'd much rather prefer a higher string gauge over loose strings. Maybe you don't slam your pick into the strings as I do and for you it feels more comfortable to have reduced string tension. Whatever works for you is great. Having that said, a setup would also be my first try. Plus when you change stringe gauges, you probably need to do a setup anyways

    note to self. Do your own work, for everything. Very little and actually guitar tech actually needs to be involved in .

    it is unacceptable to have the nut groves cut larger than the string gauge.
