Where would you suggest putting the sensors to pick up the signal in a scale model car
The sensor is that tiny black part at the end of the wires on the receiver. It is an infrared sensor so it needs line-of-sight with the remote. We have had good luck shining the remote though clear glass and clear plastic so you could possibly have the sensor on the front dashboard or rear ledge. What we recommend doing is just testing the sensor in the spot you would like to mount it to be sure you get a good signal. If the glass/plastic does not transmit very well, you can always put the sensor in the front grill or even a wheel well. It's really up to you how you mount it!

Would this work on your thunder and lighting circuit?
Thank you for your interest! Yes the on/off function on the remote would work with both thunder and lighting. The dimmer function would not work ideally as it would make the thunder sound muffled. But the remote comes on at full brightness so that isn't a problem unless you plan on using the dimmer?

One remote can control any number of receivers, the receivers are infra-red. If you want to trigger each receiver separately, just make sure the "beam of light" from the remote only points at one receiver at a time. Say, have the receivers in different directions or different heights.
