Saw them live in 1982 this was a very underrated song on that Raise album but I think the album itself was underrated ..Lady Sun , Lets Groove, I've had enough, Evalution Orange..great album!!! The show was unbelievable I can still remeber it like it was yesterday here in 2024

Paul wolcott seen them in the Seattle center Coliseum in the 90s laser show and all it was an awesome concert got a free t shirt from it I'll never forget it

I saw this live. To this day, it's the best EWF show I ever seen. I was just 3 years old and my parents turned it on.
I saw Earth wind&Fire for the 1st time at alive in 75 at Nassau Coliseum, sensational,the 2nd in 1979 at the no longer Seattle SuperDome, 3rd time at NYC's Madison Square Garden 1989, 4th time Baltimore Civic Center 1994, 5th time at George Mason University in Virginia 1998, 6th time 2006 with my 12 year old daughter, the people in the crowd (SRO)were amazed because my baby girl knew all the words(she was raised on the Fire, through out the years they have never disappointed, note: in 1979 at the Seattle SuperDome they played for 3 & 1/2 hours, I was in the ARMY then and I was positioned at the gate 20ft. from (Rice) Maurice & Mr. Falsetto Philip Bailey, the horn section was to the slight left, that day their were the 4 Phenix Horns LTD. + Elmar Brown including Andrew Woolfolk that made 6, after we left my hearing was muffled for 4 hours, till this day I still listen to the Fire including my daughter who is now 27, through this journey I have a (Fire) song for each significant year of my life, in my opinion their best body of work is EarthWind&Fire Live in Rio to which there is video but it definitely needs to be remastered, Al McKay said " we were there in Rio for 8 days 7 nights and we played for those 7 days and everything was recorded and I don't know why they released that version because there are better recorded concert versions than the one they released because I know and have it in my personal collection" anyway I have quite of a collection myself including the movie That's The Way of The World starring EarthWind&Fire and Harvey Keitel including various other artists, I also have Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club and The Marvelous UNICEF Presents EarthWind&Fire to which they sung & played 2 songs(I recommend that you find a copy, (I would release my version but that would be without permission, I don't want to get in any trouble) THAT'S THE WAY OF THE WORLD & SEPTEMBER, I am an EARTH WIND & FIRE fanatic, they are the Greatest Band in the Land, word to my Mother to whom gave me this wonderful ear for appreciating sensational music. I was at all five nights at Wembley (plus a few others in the UK) during this tour and I still think that two of those performances were the best EWF have ever been live, one particular solo by Roland Bautista on The Changin' Times, stands out as my all time favourite, they were and still are, something very special live

@@ewfnick thank you. I bet they also performed September and other classic hits in Oakland 81, but it was trimmed out from the show
@@rockndisco3874 yes, that show wad heavily cut for the VHS/DVD releases, man, many magnificent tracks were omitted, there must be the full concert laying about just waiting to be released at some time!

Thank you so much Glen for remastering this awesome footage from the greatest band of all time. The Elements live! You can deal with the grainy video somewhat but the audio has to be right. Great work my friend.

I remember seeing this on HBO in maybe 82 or 83. I memorized the entire concert, all the way down to the crowd cheering loop after the "battle with evil" before "Let's Groove".
Why didn't they include this on the DVD? What a mishap the producers and editors made. I'd do anything to re-edit this concert with missing footage included.

That was my thought as well. Looks like that concert which is available but a mystery why they did not enclose this song in it. Songs like this define EWF.
I will too and I will do the reedit for free... The original tapes are somewhere...
Did they perform September?
The live concert (first shown on HBO) DVD uses studio recording. This sounds like the audio was taken from actual concert and applied to the original video.

Great work. I have over 30 EWF concerts on audio,, most of them are great quality but is it possible to send you some over to work your magic?
You have a treasure my friend !!! We could try to do some serious magic on those recordings, but it will take a bit of time as you can imagine. We are strictly interested in the classic 9 period, so anything from 75 - 82, then we are motivated. We also are interested in the Touch The World tour, essentially any bootlegs with Maurice and Philip singing together. Would that work for you?
