I’m reading this right now, and it’s great. It’s the kind of story I’ll reread plenty of times.

Agreed Frank! There is enough there that it can be revisited every couple years. From my most recent re-reading, I especially enjoyed Charles Halloway’s wild reflections on 3:00 AM. And chapter thirty-one makes me laugh every time I rediscover it! Are you reading the Folio edition, or a different version of the book?

@@Upgradeyourbooks I'm reading a hardback edition from 2001 (? - I think; my daughter has the book at the moment), with a dust jacket that uses the image from the original edition (which you flashed on the screen, the image with the title text wisping up among blowing leaves). It's a very nice copy. I actually enjoyed the writing style as well. I don't mind the similes and such (I'm a fan of writers like Raymond Chandler who also used such descriptions). I like the Disney film version, too, but I wouldn't mind seeing a new film that stuck closer to the book. In any case, it was a great read (I just finished it about an hour ago).

@@FrankGrauJr I love that original cover image. And I hear you on the writing style; it’s really only an issue for me with Fahrenheit 451. I’ve never braved the old Disney film for Something Wicked, but maybe I’ll make time for it a month from now to help prime the Halloween mood!

      @@Upgradeyourbooks Yeah, it's a great autumn/October flick.
