I had a really fun search through $500 of world coins that I purchased from Curt Gammer ( / gammercoin ) that made up the first part of a larger $1,260 purchase. I sent him that amount and asked for an equivalent wholesale value of mixed world coinage that I'll either keep or eventually sell through some of my sales on WhatNot.

Great stream, as always. I appreciate the level-headed approach you take to the news and the markets. A lot has changed and that's on everything but the truth is I don't even care much about bullish or bearish market anymore because Mr Richard Scote got me cover as I am comfortably making 1.5B T C monthly...

I started from the bottom... now I'm here!
smashing it all 💥 €2000 to €21k 🤟
Yesterday I bought 38 pieces of 5 mark silver coins 1876-1907 here in Germany in my town at the pawn shop for 760€ that's 20€ each. I also bought 44 pieces of 3 mark coins 1908-1912 for 550€ that's 12.50€ each coin, most of them are from Prussia but there were also some from Baden, Bavaria, Saxony and Hamburg, they still had over 200 imperial coins but I was able to choose the best. Pawnshops are very cheap, very little over spot. in the coin shops, these coins cost a lot more, I was in the coin shop around the corner where 5 marks silver coins from the Empire cost 27€ and the 3 marks cost 17,50€ only the Prussian and small states cost even more
Awesome purchases, Christian. The Prussian and Bavarian silver coins are the more common ones, but: over here we pay much more than melt value. Around 40,-/45,- bucks for the 5 Mark and 20/25,- for the 3 Mark. I am am quite sure that your forefathers in Prussia/ Silesia used this kind of money. Around 1900, a worker in Germany earned ca. 80,-/100,- Mark. Greets from GER, U.
Thank you so much for all of this information! Makes it even dearer - great to have that context on the workers in the 1900s. They do stand out as looking "cooler" than melt prices would cost, so I am happy to pay more for them as well :)
Oh man, this is awesome. Came here from the discord bot post. Lots of German silver. I used to love the stuff until I started specializing in barber dimes!
Nice! Always good to jump around in collecting!
Thanks for sharing this. I have German Jewish ancestors so this is relevant for me too. It was also nice to see the victorian quarters. Not common because they were worth more than several month's pay.
I don't know them well enough either to say if it was a good value but definitely some cool coins
Awesome showing coins
Funny you did Germany coins, just started a type set with what I had in different collections.
Von means from. All the places like Bayern, Baden, elsewhere are just that, locations in Germany. Many of them I am familiar with, as they had US Army bases in those cities up until the mid 1990s.
Very cool - thank you!
Christian you ROCK !!🙂👍
V nice coins thanks 👍👍👍👍👍

Thanks Lewis!
THANKS FOR THE VIDEO GREAT CHRISTIAN👍❤️🇺🇲
Very cool coins... I always like to see edges too.... Just scanning to see if anything unusual
Should have thought of it! I already filmed part 2 but can try to work that in in the future!
First of all my hat is of to you my 2nd best foreign coins I love German empire I only have old copper coins one day I'll get some empire stacked
Very cool!
Some nice coins in that batch!
Thank you!
Cool
I have a 1911 willhelm and Charlotte coin, i think its a commemorative, 90% silver
Very cool!
It's sad that most imperial german coins above 1 mark have the face of an aristocrat on them. Wilhelm II ruined a lot of otherwise beautiful pieces.
Peace Dollar and Mercury Dime are my personal favorites, but that's also because of their minimalistic Art Deco style.
Nonetheless, thank you for the review!
Nice
Thanks!
Did you buy it for melt?
No, I paid more!
Hello! I am from Germany and such German imperial coins is one of my fields to collect. 500$ paid for that 1st shown plastic bag? I can only give an idea of german market prices: 5 Mark Wilhelm II you can easily get for 25 to 30€, same 5 Mark Otto - they had highest mintages. 3 Mark coins - best one is from Saxony worth about 20 to 25€ - Baden and Hamburg about 15 to 20, the 2 Mark Wilhelm II maximum 15€ each. Wuerttemberg 2 Mark has a nice Patina but highest would be 20€. Unfortunately about 250 to 300€ - but maybe for US market there is a chance to get higher sales? 😯 Greetings from Germany!
The common 5 Marks are going for 35-40$ but it still bumbs up the value if you find one in xf or bu conditipn. It's compareable to the 0.900 Morgan Dollars but in a way higher variety. The German Kaiserreich silver is a beast, imagine every US State issued his own $, with the eagle on the reverse and whatever governour in charge between 1876-2918 on the obverse. Mindblowing varieties
@@Michel-7.7.7 yes, the variety of these 2, 3 and 5 Mark coins are amazing. 😅 It really challenges me to get at least one specimen of each of the states … but some are really expensive beside the “common cheap” ones. Interesting pieces of history. 😄
Okay - thank you for all of the information - and I think that the next bag is worth more than $760 (from my opinion - there ended up being a few smaller denomination German States coins, so it could be that they were looped in).
That sounds like a great pursuit!
I have 1831 old coins sir
Did you say that you are a German citizen? Nice coins, but I don’t know enough about their value.
I am!
